Hello Guys,
I hope this is the right place to put this as i am in need of some help.
Has there ever been an Andre The Giant Documentary? Or a book about his life or anything. I know he had a DVD released with some matches on it, which was just his VHS released back in the day, but has there ever been DVD or book or anything?
Thanks.

Book: Andre the Giant: A Legendary Life by Michael Krugman. It was released earlier this year.
Documentary: A&E has a documentary on him.
Movie/Film: Billy Crystal tried to make a movie based on him called "My Giant". (It sucked horribly)

Movie/Film: Billy Crystal tried to make a movie based on him called "My Giant". (It sucked horribly) It was inspired by him not about him. André: Heart of the Giant is a horrible horrible attempt at a movie about him it just sucks and the wwe have never done a full documentary on him only a dvd with a few matches and nothing more

Now that you mention it, I wonder why Andre hasn't gotten a proper WWE documentary DVD yet.
I don't think it would be necessary to include multiple discs with tons of his matches (as big a fan of Andre as I am, I don't think I could watch more than an hour or so of nothing but Andre matches).
But few guys in wrestling history have as interesting a life story as Andre, and it seems like everybody that ever crossed paths with him has great stories to tell. If they got the right people to speak on the DVD, it could be one of the best docs WWE has ever produced.

Yeah that was what i was thinking, he had a great career and was a remarkable man from what i can hear, this to me makes for a great DVD. With some of the guys that are getting DVD's at the moment or already have DVD's, i cannot believe he has been forgotten.
Also, in the Legends on Wrestling set that WWE released Andre was included on there, he was in the pack with the Iron Sheik i think, i would love too get my hands on this.

I think the hard thing with Andre is that there isnt that much footage of him out there. I think the majority of his filmed work was in Japan (which is untouchable for McMahon) and then in WWE in which for the most part he was either past his prime or faced some jobbers.
The AE biography was really good. Im almost positive the WWE released the exact same thing with the DVD Andre The Giant: Larger then life

Andre needs one so people can stop with all the Big Show is better than Andre crap. Andre is an Icon of the sport and one of the biggest draws of all time.

I think they would make one. But
A: It would be rated tv MA. The guy cursed like a sailor and drank massive amounts of booze. And boned hundreds of women.
B: Most the people that new Andre are not on good terms with WWE or have passed on, so it would just be Vince Jr (not his dad who originally hired Andre) and Bobby Heenan talking about Andre doing amazing things.
