For what it's worth, I think they both look great. I can't wait for these to get to NJ and NY.

They aren't even half that ripped in real life. Jakks was way too ripped and Mattel is way more ripped.

They don't look "yellow" to me at all. And jakks has released many Triple H figures with that shade of hair as well. Not that Jakks has ever done it either, but I do with Trips taped forearm had molded tape to it I think that would have made it look better. Still I can't wait for Trips to arrive.
RVD_Mr_PPV if it's possible could you maybe take a pic of Trips wearing a Jakks world title while holding a sledgehammer & water bottle. Thanks

Oh guys cmon seriously. Like stated they are practically the same height give or take on both. And Randy The Ram, The boots are completely different. ><
Also, triple H does have a more oval head while batista has a more circular head in real life, so i am for this, Jakks never produced anything near these.

Random thoughts:
- You think it might be WWE asking for the figures (no matter what company) to have more cut physiques? There have been rumors going around for years that WWE asks THQ to make the wrestlers more muscular in the video games. Vince is all about image - I could see them asking for "beefier" figures.
- I thought Batista should be taller than H when I first saw these, but Batista's head is sort of an odd shape in real life. I think they got the heads right, put them on the same basic bodies, and Trips' head just came out taller, so he looks a tad taller. Given the small difference in their actual heights, I won't cry foul just yet.
- I'm a tad let down to see so many part-overlaps between the two figures, but it's unrealistic to expect any company to make totally new bodies, arms, etc. for every single figure. Triple H and Batista have such similar ring gear, I think it's ok so long as there is enough difference in the deco, etc. (and there seems to be). Mattel is obviously committed to unique sculpts where it counts, though (see Evan Bourne's boots). And you know if these were Jakks figs, they would have the same boots.
I'm really looking forward to seeing a lot of these guys side by side so we can get a better idea of how the scaling looks across the line.

I think the torso works for Trips as well. He's pretty ripped on the cover of the latest "Muscle & Fitness" magazine. (Sept 09) I will say the one thing I do find odd about the Mattel figures is with all the rips that torso has the shoulders are smooth as a baby's butt. Not one rip in them which I find odd.

i am not complaining about the height, i know they are close in real life, I am complaing about the reusing of parts on them when we were told in the original info
"no two figures will use the same parts"

I can't believe people are complaining that Batista and Triple H's figures having the same torso let's go back in time and talk about all the people Jakks have given the same torso to and see which company is more confused.
Bob Backlund and Triple H (Super HW) Jake the Snake Roberts and Road Warrior Hawk (Flabby) Goldberg and Evan Bourne (Ripped Cruiser) Cody Rhodes and The Ultimate Warrior (HW) Crush and Rob Van Dam (CW Singlet) Big John Studd and Classy Freddy Blassie (Thick) Christian and Test (HW) Dynamite Kid and Batista (Ripped HW) Brock Lesnar and Scotty II Hotty (Super HW) Rikishi and Yokozuna (Side Boobage "Yoko" Torso)
Don't even get me started with DA molds!
I think Triple H and Batista are closer than any of those pairs. So all you guys trying to nitpick and rip apart Mattel because of some deluded sense of loyalty to Jakks, get a clue.

I remember them saying where possible each wrestler would have their own unique parts which would be boots, arms, crotch pieces (waistline) And it would be foolish to think torsos wouldn't be reused with different wrestlers.

This is directly from the chat: gatornuggets(Q) will everyone have exclusive molds
Mattel(A) Probably not the regular assortments but we will have a segment of figures that will have unique molds.
thepeopleschamp(Q) you said there wont be exclusive molds does that mean Rey Mysterio, Big Show and Jonh Cena will have the same torso?
Mattel(A) No. We will have a variety of body types

They said "unique body molds," but never that.

Those are AWESOME! More details than Jakks figures ever had and more realistic. Mattel, I love you
