I was reading a book about Chris Benoit called Ring of hell (pretty sh*tty read) but i read something that interested me. It said that a few months after owen harts death and then the tribute match in the kemper arena between bret and benoit that the WCW went back to the Kemper arena and staged an angle were a wrestler fell from the ceiling during an entrance. The book didnt name anybody but i was wondering if this is true, even if anybody has a youtube link?
Thanks, Wade

I've never heard of that. The only thing that sounds anything like it was Sting falling from the top of the stage when Vampiro set him on fire. And that was a stuntman playing the part of Sting apperinitely.

That was Great American Bash 2000 Chris.
I believe you're talking about the October 17th/14th 1999 edition of Nitro. They also had a match during February 1999 on Nitro aswell once or twice in the summer of 1998 on that show.

Ah, I think you're referring to Slamboree 2000 when Mike Awesome threw Kanyon off the Triple Cage.

Agh your right, watching it when the commentater sells it as "we need help, god we need help please,"
To be honest the book is anti wrestling completley and gets shots in where ever it can, dont think this is really a big deal, just in the same arena i guess
Thanks

Here's what the Book of WCW Stupidity says about it -
• Kanyon took a bump from the second cage in the Triple Cage match onto the ramp. Many fans in attendence were appalled. Although it was not done so intentionally, the event took place in the Kemper Arena in Kansas where Owen Hart had died. Many of the fans had been in attendence to see Owen's accident and this hit home too hard for their taste.
Also the Sting/Vampiro incident -
• WCW booked an Inferno Match between Sting and Vampiro. The match ended with a stunt double dressed as Sting plummeting off the big movie screen and through a hole in the ramp which was filled with foam. WCW's commentary team then proceeded to basically re-hash the commentary from J.R and Jerry Lawler after Owen Hart's accident. The comapny subsequently received tousands and thousands of letters complaining about the distatseful nature of the incident.

The Kanyon thing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The Sting incident seemed worse. Heres a video:
go to 3:20 if you just want to skip the majority of the match.
