If Mattel makes a Legends line and they are wrestlers I enjoyed watching I'll buy them whether I have Jakks versions or not. I'll just put them on a different shelf.

I've never bought any Jakks (apart from a Goldust/Marlena 2-pack for some reason?) and I will definitely purchase the new classic line depending on price and availability in the U.K.
I just hope they do classic rings (like a Wrestlemania 6 ring) too and a WWF Hasbro style chase figure!

Heck - I'd settle for a PROTOTYPE vs. LEVIATION 2-pack in this line. Look'm up surfer!

I'll definitely be buying these. CS is my favorite line out of all figures, because I can get a lot of people from the Attitude and Golden eras. Plus, a lot of people who had CS figures, but I never got get, will be released again with Mattel. Any that I really wanted but missed (Yokozuna) I'll be buying.

If they are not in scale with Jakks CS line then I don't think Mattel could make a Legends Line viable, they just won't be able to sell them because who's going to buy them?!! Pleanty will buy them, if they want proper licensed wwe classics then mattel is their only option now. So the only way Mattel could sell figures of stars of that Era are by either convincing all the CS collectors to ditch their collections and start from scratch (which will cost ALOT and also it's highly unlikely that Mattel will repeat everyone that Jakks did) Again if they want new classic then they will have to start a fresh but that doesn't mean they have to get rid or ditch their jakks collection but really sticking with jakks isn't gonna add much more proper classic to their collection. The same way jakks got the CS line to work can also work for mattel, not everyone's main focus is scale to decide their collections so im pretty sure classic fans will buy them regardless who makes them. Full on agree.

I hope Mattel gives us a list of people they plan on releasing in their Classic line soon. Also, alittle more info on what the line will be like. Perhaps, how many wrestlers per set, line-ups, how often they will release a set. That kind of thing. I just hate we have to wait so long for the Classic line to begin to see who they will sign.

^^^then you can spend 15 bucks a pop, re-buying your entire CS collection. Mattel is not going to get to sign anyone to a contract that JAKKS didnt get to. So, basically all you will be doing is replacing your current CS figures with higher priced ones. CRAZY!!! No thanks, I will keep my current ones. maybe this time we wont get a Rikishi that weights 900 pounds Throw in a Scotty Too Hotty that is not a super heavyweight and Grandmaster Sexay not wearing skinny jeans and you have the making of a good three pack. If Mattel improves the Classics already made I will buy them again. I bought the same guys I have LJN and Hasbros of why would I suddenly balk because they were made in a previous Jakks line. I'll stand them all in a row and it will look like that evolution diagram from chimp to killer ninja pirate robot. Besides there are plenty of legends that WWE is still on good terms with that never got CS figures. Pat Patterson, Tony Garea and some heterosexual guys too.

Maybe..but they could also sign people jakks did and didn't end up making in the end. Also not every classic superstar only had one attire so mattel can quite easily make figures of people in different attires plus if people are obviously gonna collect mattel stuff full on they will fit into their new collection perfectly. well then, there should be alot of people pissing and moaning about "repaints" just like they love to do with jakks... i never had a problem with getting the same legend but in a different color combo...

The thing i think Mattel will do with this line is make the attire that certain wrestlers wore actually look right. Jakks almost always limited itself by what tooling it had already available. Seriously...why didn't we ever get a proper fat Capt. Lou? Nikita's attire wasn't right. Look at that terrible Bret Hart from CS 28 I think. Cena's jean shorts? That's pathetic. I also loved how all of the managers were as big as everyone else. Even LJN didn't do that! The Jakks CS line is littered with garbage like this. I'd actually be content with just a WWF/WWE Legends line.

This legends line also gives us who didn't get some of the CS figs which we do want now and are rare and very expensive a chance to get these figs in just a different form.

Well, hopefully the Classics will be more of an asset, as I am curious to see hoe Mattel would approach them. I myself would like to see the Classic DX as well as the Bulldogs.

If they make D'Lo Brown sometime during their tenure with the WWE, then I will be a happy guy.
