Ya know I would answer this one 1. Ric Flair..why ? "To be the man you had to beat the man" 2. Hmmmm. Ric Flair vs Sting there very first match, which I can't find on the tube Anyways the back story to this was it was on a Saturday morning and Flair was doing one of his rare 15 min time limit matches he would do,normally against some jobber...well this week the jobber was Sting who I had never seen before but thought as a kid he was cool (like the Road Warriors )well he had Flair in the scorpion death lock and Flair tapped but it was as the bell sounded I was hooked this set up their classic 1ST Clash match and thats why they needed th celebrity Judges incase the 1hour time limit expired.. well it came down to the judges and the stupid kid from the wonder years voted Flair won the match I have never been so MAD and a wrestling match like I was at this (hey I was nine or ten) 3.Macho man =crazy try to kill Steamboat version...he would have been a great US champ and to challenge Flair ;D

1) Honestly my favorite when I was little was Arn Anderson. He had the same last name as me so I use to tell people he was my uncle lol. When he left in 89 (i didnt watch WWF) I started liking Flair as my favorite
2)Flair vs Muta...I always thought Muta was so cool cause he was so different from what you normally saw in NWA/WCW
3)Roddy Piper....at the time I didnt know Piper was ever in NWA (he was there before I was born) but I always thought he was cool as a good guy and a bad guy

1. Who was your favorite wrestler of the NWA in the 80's (the greatest years of wrestling)
Nikita Koloff (I just liked his non-stop brutal style)
2. What was your favorite match in that time span in the NWA??
Tie War Games 1 or Flair/Funk from Bash 1989
3. And lastly who was the 1 guy you would have like to see in the NWA and whom should he had aprogram with at that time spam and why??
If they could have got Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody to come in and feud with The Road Warriors, that would have been spectacular!!

1. Who was your favorite wrestler of the NWA in the 80's (the greatest years of wrestling)
Ric Flair, no question. He did everything he could possibly do to uphold the lustre and credibility of the NWA World title, which was at that time the most coveted Title in pro wrestling.
2. What was your favorite match in that time span in the NWA??
I'm partial to WrestleWar '89, with Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat. They are a pairing that is just amazing to watch, no matter how many times you've seen it.
3. And lastly who was the 1 guy you would have like to see in the NWA and whom should he had aprogram with at that time spam and why?? I would've loved to see David Von Erich VS Ric Flair in the NWA, as opposed to what would've happened when Flair went to WCCW to take on Kerry instead. It was still great to see, but David had more charisma, an almost Barry Windham-like feel to him.
I also agree with this:
Great idea for a thread MO4Sho!

1. Who was your favorite wrestler of the NWA in the 80's (the greatest years of wrestling) The best ever, Ric Flair.
2. What was your favorite match in that time span in the NWA?? Flair/Steamboat from WrestleWar '89 was truely epic.
3. And lastly who was the 1 guy you would have like to see in the NWA and whom should he had aprogram with at that time spam and why?? Gino Hernandez would have been incredible in NWA. He was a heat magnet in WCCW and could have been an awesome upper mid-carder, US Champion feuding with Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Magnum TA etc.

1.) It's a tough call, and my choice is split between Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes. Those two had a way of working and talking that was unbelievable.
2.) The '87 WarGames match between The Four Horsemen and the babyface team of Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff, Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors. It was just awesome to see all those guys duking it out in a cage.
3. It would've been cool to see Andre the Giant show up on NWA programming, challenging the Four Horsemen as their "biggest threat". Literally.

1. Who was your favorite wrestler of the NWA in the 80's (the greatest years of wrestling)? Ric Flair. He was the main reason people tuned in every week.
2. What was your favorite match in that time span in the NWA?? Too many to list. The best of 7 series between Magnum TA & Nikita Koloff, any Midnight Express vs Rock & Roll Express match, Jimmy Valiant vs Paul Jones (hair vs hair match), Dusty Rhodes & Ronnie Garvin vs Ric Flair & Tully Blanchard (Flair's first clean pinfall on TV I can remember).
3. And lastly who was the 1 guy you would have like to see in the NWA and whom should he had aprogram with at that time spam and why?? Bruiser Brody. I was hoping they would bring him in during the Carlos Colon vs Abdullah the Butcher match at Starrcade 1983 - "A Flair for the Gold" & eventually have him feud with either Dusty Rhodes or Ric Flair.

Mine is more Georgia Era time Frame but I think it still qualifies for NWA
1. Favorite wrestler of the NWA in the 80's::: Tommy Rich (early 80's not late 80's)
2. Favorite Match::: Any Tommy Rich VS Buzz Sawyer Match (The feud lasted almost 2 years and every match was non stop and to this day nothing has come close to the same intensity ).....
3. Who I would have like to have seen in the NWA and what feud to see him in::::: Not sure...... My dream matches would be from different time frames..........

1) Ricky Steamboat - I loved his style and this matches 2) WrestleWar '89, Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat - Truly legendary stuff! I could watch this (and the other two epics they had around this time) over and over! 3) Andre the Giant - His status alone meshed with the NWA and the possible matches (Andre vs. Ric Flair for one) would have been awesome
