I can understand that Jakks want's to release figs that would sell well, but what I don't understand is why they would release a Steve Blackman if their objective is sell?

WOW! That set looks like crap. Usually at the least, I like 2 or three out of a set, but good grief they all suck! Exept for crush.

Because at the end of the day its a mass market line and Slaughter and Goldberg will sell and Sherri and Skaaland won't. Yeah, its a bummer, but especially losing the license, Jakks is in no place to be challenging retailers with tough to move product. The CS line has never been a specialty market-only line. This has benefited us in a lot of ways as its surely allowed FAR more figures to go into production than would have otherwise. But there are trade-offs, too. We can wish for perfect all we like, but we need to respect that Jakks has an obligation to make money, too.

If the objective is to sell than Slaughter is not the answer since most of us have a Slaughter that looks similar to the one they plan to release and most collectors want someone who has not had a figure released or was hard to find or has a attire from a different gimmick. Also by your logic they wouldn't have released another Iron Sheik since he was a shelf warmer. Now knowing Jakks we won't get Skinner and the Headbangers.

I'm really afraid to see how Jakks guts CS 28. I really want that Skinner in that line up so I'm sure he'll be the first to get pulled.

WTF I just realised Crush not only has the tall laced boots which make him short he also has the CW SINGLET TORSO and the RVD THIGHS!!! He's going to be tiny if the final product has those parts!!! He should have Tall Kickers, Mr Perfect Thighs and SHW Singlet Torso (also used on CS Perfect) Then it would be a great figure and would take a bit of the sting of Evil Crush's removal away.

I cannot believe quite how bad CS has got, it's beyond ridiculous how many things Jakks mess up now, this series coulda easily been phenominal but I don't really want any of them if they don't change. I'll keep most of them MOC if I do get them because they don't look displayable from the protos.

To play devil's advocate here... those parts are correct in terms of what crush actually wore and the molds available. he didn't wear kickers and he had long shorts like van dam. I know what you're saying in terms of size but the choice of parts in terms of they look are dead on.

Well, that certainly is disappointing.

1. Steve Blackman- Looks good, probably the best in the set.
2. The Barbarian- My most wanted from the set before protos came out, now I'm just very sad about it.
3. The Warlord- the remaded the LJN figure, just with the detail on the tights... lame
4. Big Show- Meh. He wasn't nearly that big back then and his head looks tiny
5. Sgt. Slaughter- Looks all right, but we have so many great Slaughters already, this was not needed
6. Kona Crush- looks good, though he should at least have the bigger singlet torso
7. Evil Doink The Clown- The last CS release, just with the jacket... why not make him in green if you're going to bother making him at all?
8. Goldberg- Meh.

No Skaaland or Sherri? Then why show them to us? And how will I reenact the Piledriver video without Skaaland? Sherri looks great too, makes me sad she will not see the light of day.

Everyone needs to realise that the crush there is going to be VERY small. It's in scale with a CW, it has CW thighs, and CW torso.
