They should have done the Warlord without face paint & without hair. I hope they add entrance gear to him as well as to the Barbarian.

I'm not one to complain. Heck, I rarely even post but I have to jump on the bandwagon with everyone else. It's no real surprise that the CS series has been on a downward slide in the last year or so, but I think its become obvious that Jakks has all but thrown in the towel on the WWE license. They give us great figures like Haku and announcer Ventura then they turn around and put out sets like this one. I try to not judge the figures until I see the final product but this set of protos has really got me worried.
Warlord- to my memory he never wore face paint during his singles run. My fingers are crossed for his septor and mask but I'm not holding my breath.
Barbarian- Like Warlord he is severly lacking in the accessories area. Hopefully they give him his antlers.
Big Show- WOW this is the exact same figure as CS26 but with fewer accessories.
Sgt.- again this is a straight rerelease of a figure that has already been done in at least 3 other sets.
Crush- this is the one bright spot in the set. Hopefully it retains all its detail in the final product.
Doink- this is OK but if you have the other versions of Doink its not a neccesity. I'll let this one slide seeing as Doink is a big seller, but please give him an acurate accessory.
Goldberg- This is a step down from his early RA figures.
Blackman- This is a decent figure and I was always a fan of his. Like alot of the figures in this set he could get a big boost if he is packed with the proper stuff, a gi and wooden sticks.
Sherri and Skaaland are easily the 2 best figures in this set and neither one is being produced. I'm begging you Jakks please find a way to get that Skaaland on the market. It is one of the best likenesses in the entire CS series. Maybe a Backlund/Skaaland 2 pack. Again I'm holding out hope that this set can turn around between now and MOCs but as of now I'm very disappointed.

1. Steve Blackman - Looks awesome, I really hope the final product looks this good
2. The Barbarian - I KNEW they were just going to use the CS16 scan unpainted. Not sure how I feel about that. What a plain & boring figure...so much for entrance attire
3. The Warlord - Looks alright...but another letdown. I bet he doesn't come with any extras
4. Big Show - I KNEW IT. Jakks didn't put out the right original descriptions. THIS is "The Giant" from WCW...CS25 is "Paul Wight- WWE debut" I'm fine with it though. Am I also correct in saying thats the first RA figure with the singlet strap over his RIGHT shoulder? That would be surprisingly accurate
5. Sgt. Slaughter - No army jacket? So this is the LVI figure re-released. Wow I'm so glad I went ahead and bought that figure.
6. Kona Crush - Awesome. Hope it stays like that. The GEM of the set.
7. Evil Doink The Clown - Doink rules...but seriously? Did we need ANOTHER one? CS 6 was perfect, CS 19 was perfect. Now we get CS 19 re-released with a coat...this instead of "Evil" Crush like we were promised. Blech
8. Goldberg - LOL same stupid scan on the RA 6 figure. Whatever.
That Skaaland figure is pretty cool. Its a shame Jakks won't release it. I wonder why?
Lets take an over/under on who comes with accessories. I bet Slaughter won't even get a hat. Honestly the only one's I'm actually looking forward to buying are Crush & Warlord. The rest will be purchased because I'm not stopping the collection 2 shy of completing the CS series.

Okay I seriously in' hate jakks. They give us another Doink which we don't need and they get rid of that freakin' awesome Sherri Martel. That looks to be like the best figure out of the set. I hate them for cancelling it. |

There are only 2 good things that come out of this set...
1)Steve Blackman looks pretty good
2) Warlords boots can be painted black and work perfectly for Brock Lesnar....
and now Captain Insano would like to share his feelings on this set

For the first time ever in collecting CS figures..... I will be getting only 4..... Warlord, Barbarian, Blackman and Crush....... Happy with my LVLK Slaughter, Picked up a jacket from Ralphs for the evil doink I already have, Dont need another Goldberg or Giant (how come they couldnt of just painted a 1 strap on the last one they released?  ?).... I am super pissed that Outback,Skaaland and Sherri will not be released..... 4 useless figs could of been replaced with 3 good figs......... I really hope MATTEL makes a classic line that blows JAKKS CS line out of the water............ If they dont make a proper attire for Barbarian I will pick up the outfit Ralph made for it. |

i have never been one to jump on the bash jakks bus before..as i over all i think the classic line was there best idea....i take pride in looking among my shelves to see such a mix of A B & C talents from the WWF & NWA... and in my view the strongest offering in figure from to date of the wealth and depth of the talent in the tag team devision when it was strong... with this set i think crsh is awesome and i can sort of see why doing again do to the use of the triple h jacket mold from the greenwhich snob version... i am happy with my sherri so arnnie and her not being in isnt a loss for me but... in defense of those who wanted them i think its down right aweful to tease with proto types that wont be released of them or anyone for that matter... thats like taking your consumer base and after beating them up taking a long leak on them... sadly the dissapointment of out back jack arnnie and sherri not being in for those of us who wante them is enough but to then tease by showing protos of 2 out of the 3? whats jakks trying to do? deliperately tea off those of us who swelled there fortunes for years? im not to thrilled with mattel either as there sculpts look good but not the earth shattering "change the face of collecting" that so many bragged about..if anything they look like they barrowing the ra and da designs with a few little tweaks... on the upside i will say its g8 to know i only have to custom a few here and there jakks didnt get to so folks i guess we all help each other..plenty of g8 customizers out there like scribble or the awesome head shop of warsmen who care and be glad to take suggestions and help us out... in the end i guess its full circle..now we invest in other board members who in turn invest more into there great work to sell us... despite this kick us in the teeth crap from jakks at the end...looking back ver all we had a good run... i got alot of missed ones to go back from like ron bass berzerker and a few others anyway.. i will say to what ever jakks dose in the future....with this latest stunt, your buying public has lost its trust... now when you say you going to do something we all will gather here and say have to see it before we trust your word on it... just my 2 cents  |

Should i get CS 25 Goldberg or this one. NEITHER - hunt down one of the older RA ones, as the older headscan is FAR superior - and i really don't like the choice of torsos - didn't they use that one for evan bourne and randy orton? -- it suits them, but Goldberg was a monster. the older ones might be a little more expensive, but i feel they're worth it. ... but if you MUST get one of the latter CS junkers, it's really a matter of whether or not you want a Goldberg wearing what he wore in WCW or WWE (there ARE figs representing both eras in the older RA sets as well) |

Doink - so they rerelease a good figure with a cr*p jacket..... swish.
Crush - Something about it looks really terrible, probably the incorrect molds
Giant - Just fusing to big show figures together....
Goldberg - pfft. #1 Goldberg isn't a classic, especially not in that attire. #2 the figure is beyond terrible.
Slaughter - Terrible figure, he's too thin.
Blackman - Too thin.
Sherri looked good, shame they cut her.
