This is in honor of G-Money, who said earlier that Ric Flair doesn't get any respect on the Classic board. I disagree, and I'm hoping some people'll prove me right... Anyways, this is a thread about YOUR personal favorite Ric Flair match. The 'Nature Boy' has had an illustrious career in pro wrestling, a career spanning 30+ years. And while I love his historical rivalries with Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, and Ricky Steamboat, my personal favorite Flair match has to be this one: Ric Flair vs. Vader at Starrcade '93, it's an awesome main event with a ton of build-up behind it. Ric Flair's career vs Vader's World Heavyweight title. Harley Race is also in Vader's corner, lending some history and bad blood to the feud with Flair. The two stiff the crap out of each other (and you can see how tough Flair really is taking Vader's shots) and the ending is.. well, incredible. You'll see.

You love me....You really really love me....... haha anyway, I think my personal favorite is Clash of Champions 1 vs Sting. The show went head to head with Wrestlemania, which honestly I didnt know because growing up I rarely watched WWF. I will admit, I rooted for Sting in this match, but at the same time this is the match that made me start enjoying Flair. My mom said that it was the first time I sat still in the living room floor for 45mins and didnt move. (I was a lil hyper as a kid)

I have a tie...
Ric Flair vs. Bret Hart - It was the famed "Saskatoon Switch", and a great, paced out match for 1992 WWF/E. Bret won his first WWE World title, and even though Flair lost, both men came out looking like a million bucks. I can watch it over and over w/o getting tired. I only wish they'd release it on DVD, so I don't burn out my VHS copy.
Ric Flair vs. HBK (WM 24) - I was there to see it live, so that holds sentimentality right there. I was facing the hard camera, so I saw everything opposite TV view. Still, I tried hard not to glance at the HD monitors, and just watch what was happening in front of me. It was surreal to finally see HBK & Flair go at it live, but the bonus was witnessing Flair's last match (hopefully) in person.

Flair/Sting: Great American Bash 1990.
I'm a Sting fan from long ago, and this is of the first things (wrestling or otherwise) that I remember from being a kid. Great match (not as much as the Clash match) and seeing Sting win was great.

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat from WrestleWar 1989. I enjoyed it more than their match at Clash of the Champions VI, but have them both at five stars.

Seeing how Flair is my hands down favorite wrestler of all time this is VERY hard for me but I am going to try and take a stab at it.
First I will list WM 24 vs. Shawn Michaels as I too was there in person. What more can be said about this match?
WrestleWar 1989 vs. Steamboat is such an epic classic.
Starrcade 83 vs. Race, old school approach. Great build and the promo after wards really cemented how important the World Title was to Flair.
Great American Bash 1989 vs. Funk, Ric shows he can get hardcore. Match is incredible and at the end all hell breaks loose. If you have not seen it, check it out. Really fun match to watch.
WrestleWar 1990 vs. Lex Luger, GREAT story as that was initially meant to be the passing of the torch to Sting. Some good emotion in the match with Sting on crutches at ringside trying to motivate the newly turned face Luger. Flair ALWAYS made Luger look like gold in their encounters.
I could probably rattle off another 20 or that I love. He was the greatest to ever step foot in the ring and had the honor to meet him last October, incredible human being.

I love his 1987 match with Barry Windham at the Crockett Memorial Cup. Definatly a match that is overlooked. Windham was such an awesome worker and we all know Flair is well....Flair.

AJPW 6/8/83 - Ric Flair vs. Jumbo Tsuruta. Criminally underrated match. I need to find and watch this match I'll rip it and upload it to YouTube tonight. I believe their 6/8/82 match and a couple others are already on there, though.

Great thread idea!
I've always been fond of Flair's match against Steamboat at Chi-Town Rumble, '89, just another perfect match in my book, as well as the '89 WrestleWar (mentioned already)
His match against Dusty at Starrcade '85 is another one that stands out to me, as well as the aforementioned inaugural Starrcade match against Harley Race, and his matches with Sting are legend...

It's very, very difficult to pick only one. Just about every Flair match is a classic match. However, Clash 6 vs. Ricky Steamboat is still my favorite. Both wrestlers went outside their usual moveset and kept a torrid pace for nearly 60 minutes. The storytelling was flawless as well. I watch this match every year.

Favourite? vs HBK at WM24... I saw it live and it was unbelievable, it being Flair's last (GOD, it better be...) match was a great thing and was a great match to go out on. I just felt the emotion in it made it alone.
Best? He's had tons, so I'm not even gonna go there.
