There were no particular rumors about Undertaker that I recall. The original plan after the WWF signed Paul Wight was to do Austin vs. Big Show at WrestleMania 2000, effectively the modern version of Hogan vs. Andre. But they pretty much ruined Show right out the gate (even jobbing him to Austin on RAW!) so those plans were nixed. Then the idea became to do Austin vs. Rock 2 which would have happened if not for Austin's much needed surgery. So, they planned Show/Austin for WM2000, before WMXV had even happened? That was the rumour. But it seemed like they never knew what to do with him. He turned heel and babyface about fifty times in his first year with the company. I suspect Austin was part of the problem, given his notorious insecurity and selfishness. He probably wouldn't let them book this new threat as superior to him, which would have screwed up Show from the start. The Rock vs Austin vs HHH vs Undertaker main event would have been brilliant. I always thought Rock vs HHH was the right main event for WM2000, which is crazy considering they wrestled each other on several PPVs (Over The Edge, Fully Loaded, Unforgiven, Survivor Series) and dozens of times on Raw and Smackdown in 1999. Somehow, the match still seemed fresh.

Did Rock vs. Austin vs. Trips ever happen? I know it was planned for, I think Survivor Series '99, but did they ever have that match? It would have been the three biggest stars at the time in one match. Would have ruled. Too bad no one in the 'E nowadays has that kind of star status.

It did not, although it should be noted that around Survior Series 99 Triple H was floundering a bit at that point and didn't real hit on that 'bonafide top guy' spot until a few months later.

Big Show vs. Kane

So, they planned Show/Austin for WM2000, before WMXV had even happened? That was the plan, I think Big Show was promised a part in the main event of WM2000, when he signed with the WWF in 1999. Thats why he was in the Fatal Four Way, probably written into his contract. Wow, that would have been a long ing build up, but thinking now, maybe that why both them were the faces of the WWF: TTL figure line when it first started, around WM2000 time, and that they were the faces of WWF Smackdown (the first game) so yeah, it could have been in the works My question is, if it was Austin/Show, what the would have Rock, Trips and even Taker have done at WM2000

When the WWF first thought up Show/Austin, HHH was still in the midcard and nobody would have thought he would headline WM the next year. Mick Foley talks about how in Foley is Good he wanted to turn heel on The Rock leading to him facing Austin at WM 2000. When Austin went out the plan then became Rock vs. heel Foley at WM 2000. But Big Show was flopping as WWF champion and Vince decided to go with Foley/HHH at the Rumble which put in motion everything that happened.

Big Show flopping, I thought he was a good Champion, I mean he wasn't in the main fued cause that was Triple H and Vince, so he never had much of a chance of getting higher, which is a shame as it could have helped get Bossman over too. But a heel Foley/Rock match, tbh would have been a little too much, I mean I know that they both have great matches with eachother, but it might have been overkill for me atleast

Foley's heel turn was scrapped way before Big Show won the title. If I remember rightly, his final match was supposed to happen at Survivor Series '99 but he and McMahon changed it to Rumble '00 after it became apparent that Austin was on borrowed time.

Man, they really did make Show look like a failure ON DEBUT. He had one job; to keep Austin from making his way to the Royal Rumble, and he blew it, on his debut. Yeah, that's too bad. They wouldn't even put him over Foley at WMXV, they had it end in a disqualification on Mick's behalf. And then he jobbed again to Mick the next PPV! And EVERYBODY beats Mick Foley, so there's no excuse. The Big Show could've been a heavy hitter and a big-time player but he was never allowed to reach his full heights. At least he's not kept around on the sidelines like Kane, to be a creepy jobber and all. I do think WWF did a piss poor job to presenting Big Show in 1999. The man should of been a wrecking machine! I do think Austin vs. Big Show would have made to be an interesting match.
