Was totally gutted for Atletico. They had the trophy in their hands, they really did. Can't argue that Real deserved it in extra time and there was only going to be one winner after the equaliser.
Atletico should be incredibly proud, amazing season. Just a shame their team is going to get torn apart over the Summer.

I mean atletico quit after it got 2-1. Then Ronald scoring just made me sick. To read the score as 4-1 does this game an injustice

Didn't expect that from Celtic, they'll do well to get through and can thank Forster it wasn't worse.
Celtic get out of jail, they always do. 3 nil at home.

Not that surprised. Celtic will struggle from now on. They are slashing their budget which will see the likes of Forster and Van Dijk go and the signings so far don't look good.

Just got back from the Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla. Ronaldo is unreal, just a class above, every touch... and I thought Bale was good.
The whole reason behind Wales hosting it is to show we can host a big football matches. Hopefully that helps our Euro 2020 bid. It was a great night, sat in the new seats at Cardiff City. People were sitting in our seats so they moved us to front row balcony.

I missed the deadline to apply for tickets by 5 mins haha, was quite disappointed as it would've been a great experience in our home stadium. I'll have to settle for Cardiff v Huddersfield on Saturday instead... It was a good game, Ronaldo is just something else and Bale's all around game is coming on leaps and bounds. James Rodriguez is going to take a bit of time I feel but he should get there eventually. I still think Real could use at least 3 defenders, if they got that defence sorted then they would be unbeatable for years to come.

The tickets went on sale again after the first deadline, the Spanish clubs didn't sell all theirs so they sent some back. They were expensive though but then again, it was to see Madrid play. I need to go and see Cardiff play more, I keep saying that every season. Especially since this will be my last year I'll get discounted seats (18-21yrs old). Have a good time on Sat Himmy.
As for Madrid I would have thought they are pretty solid. I don't know much about Spanish football but the RB seems the odd one out. All the others cost £20mil plus and he cost like £5mil. But then again he played well and it's not just about how much they paid for you. I'd say CB and LB are sorted though.
Could do with someone to challenge or even replace Benzema. I know they're always linked with Falcao. But what I was saying yest was the three behind the ST change positions constantly and even swap with Benzema, they're all good enough to fill any of those front four roles. But when Benzema moves out of ST he is useless (harsh but in comparison to Bale, Ron, Isco, James). Of course, this is just the few games I've seen. So I don't really know what I'm on about. But basically Benzema is a top striker and should just stay in position as he's much less effective elsewhere.

Well Liverpool's draw was not as bad as feared. Just need to be careful we don't slip up against Basel.

Ronaldo was looking very sexy tonight. Honestly believe he has a great shot at ending up as the GOAT when he retires. There's 4 main answers for the question as of right now if you ask me - Pele, Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo (in no particular order). Any of those is acceptable to me as long as you acknowledge the greatness of the other three. Answers like Cruyff, Best, Puskas etc. are also acceptable if suitably explained, but those 4 are the main 4 really now.

Liverpool well and truly humbled last night. The form Ronaldo is in at the moment is plain ridiculous. You can definitely see that this Season he is trying to link up in the middle of the pitch more rather than just being so good at his usual game (running with space out wide). The whole team collectively though is so good to watch at the moment. Modric and Isco are complete ballers, but if Toni Kroos isn't the most intelligent Player in the World then I want to know who is. Everytime I watched Bayern, and this Season Real Madrid, no matter who else was on the pitch (Ronaldo, Bale, Robben etc), I just find myself constantly drawn and fixated on Kroos. His movement and knowing exactly where to be, everything he does has a reason behind it. Can really go on to be this decade's Xavi.
As for Liverpool though, Brendan seems to be out of touch as sorts. It's all well and good trying to play attractive football, with a few quick, nippy, dynamic Players, but if you're not set out well from the back and don't have a 2 infront of the defence to control and dictate, then whatever the Players infront can do doesn't matter. It really showed last night too, especially in the middle of the pitch, they were being drawn out left right and centre.
I still fancy Barcelona for the Champions League this year though. Purely because of timing. Messi will pick up pace after being burnt out from the World Cup, Suarez will return and be fresh as a fiddle by the end of the Season having missed out the first 2.5 months, and Neymar will be starting to peak after his back injury. It all depends on the System though. If they change the System to a 4-2-3-1, with Iniesta, Messi, Neymar as a 3 with Suarez up top, that will take some beating.
It's good to see Messi and Ronaldo both still trying to find ways to adapt and improve they're Game though. Despite the physical shape Ronaldi is in, with him hitting 30 soon Bale will gradually become fitter and have more legs to do Ronaldo's typical wide job, so Ron, as touched on above, is looking at moving inwards and playing down the middle with Benzema. This should preserve him even further and allow him to score a silly amount this Season. As for Messi, I don't see him breaking many more records in terms of goalscoring, and he is only going to drop deeper. He's starting to take up more of a deeper role for Barcelona like he does for Argentina, gradually becoming the ultimate playmaker rather than prolific.

Liverpool main problems is not only have they lost the league's best player but have been without Sturridge as well. Suarez replacement Balotelli the the complete opposite player he was. Our defence is still weak. Not convinced by either Lovren or Skrtel. We also have failed to sign a defensive midfielder which is badly needed.

First half was brilliant there. Second half died down as Barca ate out of the palm of Real's hand. Carvajal was absolutely fantastic, MOTM. Barca showed that their defence is still pretty meh, and that they just haven't faced many great teams (no one other than Real from the top 6 I think).
