What are you confused about? How the hidden power is detirmined? Or just how to find out?

Both haha, how can a pokémon learn one move, but in two different ways Two different ways? Basically, hidden power is one move. But what type of move it is and how powerfull it is is detirmined by the pokemons IV values, which are usually random. IV stats for a pokemon are set the moment they are born and cannot be changed. There is one for each of its values(atk, def, spe, spd, spatk, hp) And they slightly effect how good a pokemon is. The number ranges from 1 to 31 and its kinda hard to explain everything but if your really interested there are websites that explain it better. Anyway there are a few ways to manipluate these stats through breeding and thats how people try to get the hidden power they want. There is some weird math calculation invloving the IVs of the pokemon that decide which hidden power they learn. In order to actually see which one you have, you must either expirement in battle or talk to this person in one of the pokecenters who tell you that if you taught your pokemon hidden power, the move would be a _____ type. Anyway there are also online calculators that tell you but in order to use them you must know your pokemons IVs. To find that out you gotta use a online calculator

IVs also are effected by the little sentence it says under your pokemons nature. For example, "often lost in thought" I believe gives it a better Spatk IV stat.

Like I said, the values dont change from the moment its born, so you can just use Eevees. Im sure theres a easier way but I dont know it lol.

If you use the calculator your pokemon has to be at higher levels for accurate results. At least level 15. Basicaly, give it your rare candies, find out if it is or not, then dont save and reset. If it works, still dont save because its a waste of candy.

gotcha lol. Maybe one day ill rebreed for a better one but ive put to much time in mine now that I have a bond now xD Its Level 81 atm. Im also thinking about making a super classic team that is also competative. With Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur, Pikachu, Pigeot, and Snorlax Ima be like Ash if he woulda finished evolving everything!

Idk about the natures yet but if I did make this team it would be somthing like Blastoise +252 HP +252 SPDEF Scald Rapid Spin Aqua Jet Ice Beam Charizard +252 SPATK + 252 Spe Flame Burst Air Slash Focus Blast Venasaur IDK about EVs or Attacks yet, depends if I make it physical or Special. Pikachu Same as Above Snorlax +252 HP +252 ATK or SPD Body Slam Curse Crunch? Pigeot +252 ATK + 252 SPE U-Turn Brave Bird Quick Attack Roost/Return/Pursuit/ I kinda forgot what I wanted to do with Venasaur and Pikachu but Ill probaly make one of them a special attacker and one Physical.

^ You should!
Angus why Flame Burst for Charizard?!
That move sucks and only has BP 70 when Flamethrower has 95.
I'm just a little confused by that.
And for Pikachu why would you want it physical?

Hahaha my bad, I was trying to remember what moves my Charizard had and I said Flame Burst instead of Fire Blast. They sound similar But yea Fire Blast has 120 Base power and 85 accuracy which I kinda like better than Flamethrower. And believe it or not Light Ball Pikachus can be physical since the Attack and Special Attack stats are nearly the same. Pikachu has good physical and special attacks it can learn even though most people go special.
