In shocking news today, WWE Chairman Vincent McMahon announced that due to the weak economy, and some bad investments on his part, the WWE has closed its doors. "We really hate this, especially for our fans, but we have not been in the black for several years" McMahon said.
Within minutes, it was announced that a group of investors from the Michiana area, including Shawn Kemp, John W. Fieldhouse, as well as several famous Notre Dame grads had signed 12 of the former superstars from the WWE. A statement released to the press said " We are all fans of professional wrestling, and we do not want to see it die, at least in our region, therefore, we are starting a new company called Michiana Wrestling Alliance." The MWA will hold thier events in Mishawaka, Indiana, and will be broadcast nationwide, with plans for touring coming later on.
