what's amusing about the tag title situation is that Teddy Long, the GM of ECW, makes a stip for a match involving titles from Raw and Smackdown. the match basically has nothing to do with ECW. its like children are doing the writing.

Last time I checked, John Morrison & The Miz are ECW superstars - that makes the titles a part of ECW. (wwe.com even has them listed on the ECW page) - he has more than enough "authority" to add a stipulation to the match.

Then they need to end the brand extension, because it is totally pointless. Miz and Morrison are on Raw and Smackdown every week. HBK worked Smackdown recently, so did Cena. Triple H is on Raw...I agree it's like kids are booking this crap.

Raw/ECW do the talent exchange because ECW tapes before Raw. how does he have "authority" on a title match for 2 titles that have nothing to do with the ECW brand? there's no need to defend the writers. they screw things up all the time with the brand extensions. and also, i dont know what website you went to, but no where on WWE's website does it say that the World Tag Team Titles from Raw are the ECW Tag Team Titles. you must have misread something.

Morrison & The Miz hold the titles, the titles are listed under the ECW Championship on the ECW superstars page. Whilst being held by ECW superstars, they're ECW championships - regardless of how long they were exclusive to the Raw brand. Just like when Matt Hardy got drafted to ECW as US Champion, the title became an ECW Championship for a short period of time. If the titles are being held by ECW superstars, who Teddy Long has authority over - why wouldn't he have the authority to add something to a match they're involved in?

just because he has authority over half the competitors in the match doesnt mean anything. technically Miz/Morrison are representing Raw in that match, since they are defending Raw titles, not ECW titles. Long has no authority on Raw or Smackdown and the match is happening at WM, not on ECW.
and just because ECW superstars hold Raw titles, it doesnt make them ECW titles. here's some examples for you. when Great Muta (an AJPW employee) recently held the IWGP Title (a NJPW Title) did that make it an AJPW Title? when Kensuke Sasaki (a Kensuke Office employee) recently held the GHC Title (a NOAH Title) did that make it a Kensuke Office Title? Team 3D hold the IWGP Tag Titles. are those belts now TNA Titles? and since WWE wants to continue to try and seperate the brands into seperate entities in their own little world, then when someone from a seperate brand captures a title, they dont take it with them and it isnt claimed by the other brand.
