The following took place tonight in San Antonio, TX.
Nathan Benavidez sent this report in:
ECW on Sci Fi Tapings for March 17:
Dark match: Mike Knox beat Charlie "Hacksaw" Haas after kicking him before the three point stance.
There's a cage above the ring.
Shelton Benjamin and Mark Henry beat Christian and MVP after Christian hit Tony Atlas and turned around and got pay dirt.
Evan Bourne beat Jamie Noble after the shooting star.
Jack Swagger came out and cut a promo. Burchill vs. Finlay announced. Live dirt sheet tonight as well.
BACKSTAGE Teddy Long is dressed up for St. Patrick's Day. Finlay lost Hornswoggle.
Finlay beat Burchill after reversing his neckbreaker and hitting the celtic cross.
The Dirt Sheet got interrupted by The Colon's. At Wrestlemania both tag titles (will be) on the line. Carlito then accidentally spit in one of the twins face's. The other twin laughed causing a fight between the two. One stayed in the ring with The colons and with Miz and Morrison.

I don't understand why Christian keeps jobbing. I know Vince is out to get him, but at the end of the day, it doesn't hurt anyone but themselves. Tag title match is decent; it at least gets Miz/Morrison on the card.

I like the addition of the tag unification. It gets the best tag team in WWE, imo, on the best show of the year. It rewards carlito on improvement and rewards primo in his impressive early beginnings.
Some may see it as just filler, but in years back guys got hot periods and got booked at Mania. Recent years mean far less of a chance to scratch your name in so yeah it's cool these 4 will at least perform at the show.

As far as I'm concerned, losing in the build up to a match you're more than likely going to win is just a way of keeping things exciting. If Christian was winning each and every week, people are going to become sick of seeing him - him losing just adds to the allure of him winning. |
