I look back and I cringe. He had enthusiasm, but he could not call a single move outside of a finisher. OHH WHATAMANEUVER!!! Thats funny cause he would call moves...by their names my faveroit was always 1.....2.... he did he go it we got a new champ...ah no he kicked out I see your post, and I raise you... Loaded with, "Look at that! What a move! Fancy moves! How about that!" Now, mind you, JR was more of the guy who calls the moves at this point than Vince, but it doesn't take away from the fact that Vince doesn't call many moves. You can watch parts two and three to see Vince continue to rarely call a move.

Vince's favorite ways to avoid calling moves included "LOOK AT THIS!" "OH! WHAT IMPACT!"
all this said, he's no eric bischoff. back leg jumping spin kick ftw.

I guess Vince was much more energetic which brought something refreshing and vibrant - like somebody already mentioned, his WM and Rumble intros were great

You see, i have always agreed with the opening topic, but it would not work now.
Although, where the hell is SHANE? i think he could be great as a semi heel commentator.

He was good back then, and when you watch a match with Vince commentating it throws you back in time, but his announcing today wouldnt fly. You guys would tear him a part

I LOVED Vince as a commentator. He was the only person who could get you to believe someone like Dino Bravo could win the Royal Rumble

I was just thinking this past Monday how awesome it would be for at least one night for Vince stand in front of the announcer's table with King to run down the card and of course say that classic "Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw!" Honestly, I wish and I'm surprised that he hasn't done just that on any of the "Anniversary" Shows or whatever.
I personally would love to see him go back to playing the commentator but he will never do it again on a full-time basis. He was corny but there is no better man that can hype his product and his workers like he could.

I loved Vince's commentating but I hated that voice he put on all the time, like he was trying to be more of a showman than he needed to be.

When i breakout some of my old tapes i laugh at how he would say " THEEEEE ULLLLLLLLLTIMATE WARRIOR!" he would try to make his voice as deep and raspy as possible sometimes .fun times back then .

Vince McMahon was a great announcer. I loved when he used to do that. My fav I remember would be Feb 96 IYH Michaels Vs Owen. And I love his reaction wen Kane first debuts.

I loved Vince but the one thing that always chapped my ass would be how he would go on about how the match was over after a close 2 count. He always over exaggerated things like that

Vince probably snorted so much cocaine before each night of commentary. He is definitely one of the most energetic and colorful play-by-play commentators to ever exist, but one of the worst as far as accurately calling the maneuvers in the ring. His fake laughs always crack me up, though. I couldn't squeeze a real laugh out of my ass if I was listening to King all night. You too, huh? Yeah, I have never been a fan of Lawler, as a wrestler, or a commentator. Yikes...
