As noted yesterday, former TNA X-Division Champion Johnny Devine was backstage at the RAW and Smackdown tapings. Devine did NOT get a a tryout match although he had obviously hoped for one. WWE officials never even gave him a chance prior to the show.

Devine's been backstage at WWE events a lot lately. He's got a lot of friends there. It'll be interesting to see if he signs a contract.

I honestly dont get some people on here. Devine is a great wrestler, just because he wasnt pushed to the moon in TNA we all think he sucks? There are so many great talents out there being held back and people just judge them from what they see in one promotion.

Jackson!, disagree completely. Devine wasn't TERRIBLE, but he wasn't anything special... where the WWE should be eager to pick him up. There FAR better talent out there, than Devine.

Oh I agree with you, Devine isn't on the list of people I would pick up. I just hate how people perceive wrestlers as crappy when they are in turn, really talented.

He'd be good down in ECW with the other guys feuding with Cage that would be awesome.

Devine would be a good fit in the WWE. He's got the proper build for a US champion, he is very charismatic and good on the mic. Terribly underused in TNA.
Though one may argue I have a biased opinion because I have had a chance to actually watch him OUTSIDE of TNA.
