Cool that you guys have such deep connections here. Yeah we used to be on this forum everyday and talking on AIM as well. I was around in the twilight of the board's activity (it had relatively died down but people still posted and reviewed shows regularly). I think it had been mentioned previously by ICW, but I think the downfall of the activity stems from other forms of social media and online gaming. When I was around between 2005-2007, online console gaming hadn't exploded yet and neither had social media. So a lot more teenagers and young people, who actually have the time to be engaged in reading and writing wrestling shows, were on here and other forums compared to now. Hell, that's what ended my stint on here. As I mentioned I was ten years old when I joined (obviously lied about my age to sign up and lied about my age to other users --although it was obvious how young I was)...I had a ton of time on my hands. Then when I was 12 I got an Xbox 360 and Live, went into high school and rest in peace message forums and fantasy booking lol ICW and I joined around the same time I believe and we're both good friends who were often fighting (mostly due to my immaturity). WCWA was already established here and was our wise mentor. DCW was also around as well. Remember that other forum we all migrated to for a little bit that replaced BOOK? I miss BOOK for the short time I was part of it. I wish BOOK would make a comeback lol

I miss BOOK for the short time I was part of it. I wish BOOK would make a comeback lol When BOOK went down, Afterlife came up under it. it was supposed to be MUCH more than it was. Afterlife was supposed to have a main site with wrestling news, columns, and probably most importantly, an area to actually host shows. There was talk and work to fix the largest issue of BOOK, in that the pictures on the site hadn't been updated since 2002 or so. I had written a script that'd import pictures via bbc code, but automatically resize them to whatever the uniformed squared image size was. the catch on it is, the image had to be square to begin with. so the WCWA roster images (funny how that works huh?) would've imported flawlessly, but if someone just tried to drop in a full blown studio promo shot, it'd end up super squished. not going to throw people under the bus because it's been almost 15 years now, but the main site never came to be because of personal issues from the other admin, who quickly faded away from the scene as a whole shortly after Afterlife launched. Tenn took the mantle, but had no background in web development and at the time, I was 16 or 17, and while I could write the code, I had no business trying to be a sysop for any scale of a website. that's why Afterlife never truthfully moved past the stage of "message board that occasionally has columns". I remember our friendship with Kamala was going to play a role in Afterlife at one point, because Kamala was very on board with producing content for the Afterlife site, until the site itself fell apart

A modern BOOK would be something incredibly, incredibly fun to have.

Cool that you guys have such deep connections here. I think I was around the fantasy booking board in it's various forms for around 15-20 years before I moved onto booking real wrestling. WCWA's first show was July 4th 2004. and I had 3W for about 8 months before that. we'd be coming up on the 20 year anniversary of WCWA if I hadn't quit like a big ol quitter. ....I actually work an office job now where I have a ton of downtime. I theoretically could write shows again if the motivation came to me. What is 3W and what is BOOK?

3W was my original series here back in 02 or 03
BOOK was another fantasy booking site. Book.otherarena.com. the sysops for otherarena.com abandoned the BOOK project long before people actually stopped using it. There was a bug in the code though that caused the entire website to essentially implode on the turn of a new year, where you could no longer create new shows. Now the BOOK side is completely offline (and has been for presumably more than a decade) even though the URL still works and there's still a wrestling booking link on the main page

Here's a look via the Wayback Machine: web.archive.org/web/20040518214648/http://book.otherarena.com/This is Part 1 of one of my favorite shows ever: Tenn's CWF WrestleMania XV.
