It was a different animal back in those days -- and I started this particular hobby towards the tail-end of its peak. Here's why the hobby fell off (in my opinion): - Lack of interest in writing long-form shows. I mean no offense to any current Fantasy Bookers (you guys rock!) but most of the stuff that's submitted today would have been rejected 15 years ago. We had contributors who would regularly write 20-30 page shows and some of them were incredibly, incredibly detailed. There was a certain amount of pride in writing those type of shows. I think the focus of today is very "results-oriented", i.e., Wrestle A def. Wrestling B with Finishing Move and there's very little substance in between. There's no interest in writing actual promos, matches, segments, etc. When that generation of writers left, this board declined. - People do not want to read nor review shows. Again, you could not post a show if you hadn't reviewed at least 2 shows. I try to review shows but is my desire there? Not really, no, but that's not the fault of the writer (in most cases anyway). I just have a ton of real-life stuff to take care off and I often forget to even come here. Reviewing shows is a big, big part of this community (probably the most important part) and that sort of died off - People are into eFedding. - The overall decline of this board. We don't get casual readers or posters because the activity on this board is basically nil. I agree with all your points. Specially the reviewing the shows. I put a lot of work into my shows and i always hope someone reads my stuff to tell me if I'm garbage at writing or not. We tried enforcing a Review Rule but it tended to push people away. Some people are just plain selfish. They want people to read their stuff but they won't reciprocate. Others just want to post their stuff regardless if they get reviews. I'm trying to have that mentality but it's difficult.

At the last 5 shows I posted, I posted with that mentality, and thats why I took so long making them.

The idea that it's in my head for WCW/nWo: Re-Imagined:
WCW purchases the WWF in early 1996 with WrestleMania XII as their final show. There would be a WCW presence throughout the show (Ted Turner and a bunch of WCW executives sitting in a skybox "scouting" talent). I'd book Razor and Diesel on the card and both of them do something that is the initial spark to all of this madness...

So I wanted to be a bit more transparent on what I've been up to:
I have an overall idea of what I'd like to do.
The issue is that I'm not entirely sure when this story should take place. I'm still in the process of researching real life events and finding the right time to base this story.
I will probably make changes along the way. I am in the process of writing an "Established Canon" timeline that will give you, my dear readers, a detailed understanding of where wrestling in the US stands in mid to late 1996.
