Hey guys I'm pretty new to this line. I've been on the lookout for skeletor and He-Man classics. But as most of you must know they are very hard to find and expensive. So just stumbled on this 2.0 series. I have a few questions 1. Are these re-releases of the figures released 5 years ago? 2. Do I have to have a subscription to get them? 3. If so how much is a sub and how many figures is in the subscription? 4. Would it be worth it to buy some of these 2.0 of ebay? Thanks guys. Sorry if some of this is common knowledge. First of all, welcome to the MOTUC line! If you're interested in some of the earlier figures, I compiled an Unofficial eBay MOTUC Price Guide for reference. The prices are a little out-of-date right now but it still gives you a good idea of the going rates on these figures. I usually update the prices, and add in the latest figures, once a year. Anyway, here are some answers to your questions... 1. No, these are not straight re-releases of the earlier MOTUC figures. Instead, they are brand new, Filmation cartoon-accurate versions of the main A-list characters. 2. No, I'm fairly certain that every bi-monthly figure will have Day of Sale stock available for ordering from Matty's site. Only Evil Seed, the club exclusive, will not be put up for sale. The subscription also locks you in to the discounted $20 price instead of the standard $25 price on the regular sale dates. In the past, there have been certain figures (Like Two Bad or Fang Man) that aren't put up for sale, and thus becoming unofficial club exclusives, but I don't think this will happen with Classics 2.0 under the new management team. 3. I see you found the sub page with all the info about this sub; 6 Figures (He-Man, Trap Jaw, Skeletor, Beast Man, Clawful, & Evil Lyn) and one Club Exclusive (Evil Seed)! 4. It's hard to say...A lot of the tail-end figures this year are generally going for cheaper than the full price you would pay from Matty's site. However, these figures are the unpopular D-list characters. Everyone in the Classics 2.0 lineup, except for Evil Seed and arguably Clawful, are A-list characters that are far more in demand. So it's possible that buying them from eBay will end up costing more! I already went ahead and bought my sub, I'm really looking forward to an official Filmation Skeletor! I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for all the info! I'm glad to hear you have an opportunity to buy them without the subscription! I'd love to subscribe but it's just not in the budget for me right now. I just found a pic of the new 2.0 He-Man he looks amazing!

I just found a pic of the new 2.0 He-Man he looks amazing! They will be for sale first to subscribers. Meaning the sub holders could still purchase more and there is a chance stock could sell out before public sale on Matty's site.

Is Mattel planning on releasing a Snarf?

I got Queen Grayskull and Dragstor a few days ago and they're both cool! For fun, I decided to make a new Toyternia comic for Queen Grayskull... Overall, Queen Grayskull is a beautiful figure. While the tail end of this year's lineup has been a bit lackluster in execution, the Club 200X figures have been consistently awesome! I also recently ordered the Talon Fighter/Point Dread playset and am looking forward to seeing it soon! I hope you like the new pics!

I picked up a Castle Grayskull for half price and free shipping yesterday in the cyber week sale! What a steal I saved myself $370 because of the huge shipping costs to the UK. I wish they would put some of the more rare figures up though.

I bought all six MOTU Giants (He-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man, MAA, Zodac & Stratos) on Tuesday when they went on sale for 50% off + free shipping... Anyone else own any of the Giants?

A friend of mine did the same thing and bought all six of them during this latest Cyber Monday sale...I saw them and they look cool. I was tempted to buy He-Man and Skeletor but I'm running out of room and already spent enough money this holiday season on gifts, so I passed. Speaking of holiday purchases, I saw someone post about Disney's Frozen Ice Palace and after taking a look at it, it seemed perfect for MOTUC figures. So I broke down and bought this dollhouse, heheh! Once fully raised, this castle is taller than Castle Grayskull! It's also slightly wider, so there's plenty of open space to display figures. I was tempted to repaint this to look more like the Crystal Castle but honestly, this playset looks great enough on its own to show off your POP figures nicely! Well, I hope you like the new pics and I recommend this playset to anyone who wants a cool (No pun intended) display set for their POP/GB collection. Just be aware that this thing takes up a lot of space...I don't know where I'm gonna put Snake Mountain now, heheh!

Well, I got my last shipment of figures this month! Prahvus was a highly anticipated one for me and he closes out the Club 200X sub very nicely! Another character that I wanted was Dare/He-Ro II and I'm glad to finally have him. I like that they included both sets of armor for him and used an extra Vykron buck in order to make his barbarian look! Finally, I wasn't looking forward so much for the Laser figures but now that I have them in hand, they actually look great and the light-up features are cool. I keep wanting to take more pics of them! Overall, it's been a good year for me...It's crazy to think that MOTUC succeeded in completing the vintage MOTU line and I now have a full set of revamped figures from my childhood, along with several that I always wanted! As always, I hope you like the new pics...And Happy Holidays!

I can't wait for this, 7 figs for $175 + Shipping is a great deal, a bit surprisisng that Jaga and Grune are back to back. Rumor has it that there will be a spirit Jaga figure as an SDCC exclusive this year.

I would guess if they are raising the price it is because they didn't reach the numbers they were hoping to get with the line announcement...and now it is a lower production run which means a higher cost for the line to go forward. But that is just my guess.

That forum had pull. But, this line seemes doomed once they trimmed down on the line up.

The problem with Mattel's subscription lines is whenever they make a mistake or a poor decision, the collectors are always the ones who pay for it and/or get the blame for the lines being cancelled.

Yeah, price has been adjusted. 5 figures total is roughly $144 for the single purchase option now. Good by me. I'm standing by to see if they adjust what I paid already or how they'll do that since it was $30 previously.

Just as an update, Mattel sent out an email explaining the error in pricing and told me to expect my $5 refund, which I have already received.
So the sub is $25 and then $25 per figure. Non sub price will be $30 plus shipping and tax.

I subbed for this, looking forward to seeing photos of the rest of this year's line. Toy Fair perhaps?

My #1 toyline I collect, pretty much have everything with the exception of some SDCC raffled off Graykull and She-Ra. Collection takes up three Billy bookcases and then some.... not sure what I am going to do once Snake Mountain lands on my front porch...
