Roberto Carlos Free kick against France gave him my vote but i dont believe he is the best. I agree with what you guys are saying Pele was a cracking player but he wasnt at a harder time that Ronaldo was playing. That's why Romario gets my vote, not only did he play in recent, more competetive games than Pele did, he still plays now at 41. Apparently his official goal tally is 929, but counting friendlies etc he scored his 1000th goal earlier this year. I don't think it's a coincidence that Ronaldo peaked for Brazil when he played up front with Romario either.

Taffarell?nah..I think Pele was the best Brazillian ever. Played for Santos..a fairly average team..never moved to Europe though but carried that team even from the age of 16 and was also capped at that age. He's played in more world cups than Ronaldo/Romario and had retired at 37 where as Romario's still going at 40 so the whole scoring record thing..
