he said he thought that having to work his way up from the bottom in wwe wouldnt help his career since many people already liked him

Ok, here's my theory.
Say that he's going to WWE for Royal Rumble to generate media attention, "quit" before the Rumble, to "generate controversy". Go back to CMLL(or AAA(I dunno)?) with a possible increase of money.
