- Joey Styles and Byron Saxton introduce us to another exciting and extreme edition of ECW. They remind us that there is a new ECW Champion after last week and his name is Bryan Danielson. The Television Title will be on the line as Joe Hennig defends against the red hot Wade Barrett! They also promote that we will hear from him to begin our broadcast, as he is the guest on the Abraham Washington Show!
- With that we cut to the stage where it's set up for The Abraham Washington Show. Aksana introduces our esteemed host, Abraham Washington himself. He comes out doing his Arsenio Hall fist pump and welcomes the crowd. He says that while he had the night off last week, some history was made as Bryan Danielson won the ECW Championship. He gets right into bringing out the new Champion. Danielson comes out to a huge pop from the WWE Universe. He poses with the belt before sitting down to begin the interview. As one would expect, this was a typical AW interview. He asked sarcastic questions like “How does it feel to be the first vegan to win at anything?” and “How did you overcome the fear that Ezekiel Jackson might eat you?”. Danielson took it in stride at the beginning, but he grew tired and threatened to leave. Washington tells him to relax, but at this point, Drew McIntyre attacks Danielson from behind. He stomps on him multiple times before picking up the ECW Title. He waited for Danielson to stand and leveled him with the belt. McIntyre shouted that Danielson's dream would come to an end this Sunday!
Commercial Break
Singles Match Kaval vs. Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill
- For the past few months this has been a quiet rivalry on ECW that has featured some very good matches. These two have good chemistry and it showed once again here. In what is the finale of their battles, Burchill came out aggressively and looked to put away Kaval early. Kaval fought valiantly and eventually managed to put down Burchill with the Warrior's Way double stomp.
Winner: Kaval [8:14] **½
- Kaval celebrated as he left up the ramp and he motioned that a belt would soon be around his waist. One has to assume to he will want a chance to get a shot at the ECW Championship sometime soon.
Commercial Break
- Josh Matthews is standing by with the ECW Television Champion Joe Hennig, and asks him about defending his title against a man who seemingly can't be stopped. Hennig says that he's seen what Wade Barrett can do and knows that tonight will not be a walk in the park, but he's been a fighting champion ever since he won and he promises to defeat Barrett for the fans of ECW and for Teddy Long.
Singles Match Ezekiel Jackson w/ Gail Kim vs. The Hurricane
- Ezekiel Jackson came into this match just looking completely pissed off after last week's events. One had to feel bad for The Hurricane as he was basically fed to the dogs here. He attempted to put up a fight, even getting in a few offensive moves. Ultimately though, this was all about Ezekiel Jackson getting back on the winning track, which he did after hitting the Book of Ezekiel.
Winner: Ezekiel Jackson [4:57] **
- After the match Ezekiel shouted “this is gonna be you, Cena!”, before lifting Hurricane and planting him with not one, but two Book of Ezekiels!
Commercial Break
- We return to see ECW Champion Bryan Danielson getting stitched up after being assaulted by Drew McIntyre earlier tonight. He has dry blood on his face and looks to be in bad shape. When he notices the camera in the locker room with him, he gets up from the table he's sitting on. He gets right into the camera and tells McIntyre that was was done to him earlier tonight isn't going to prevent him from showing up this Sunday. He's been through worse and nothing at this point will stop him from getting his hands on Drew. Drew has tried to end his career on multiple occasions and there is no honor in that. Because of that, Drew better not expect to see the honorable “wrestler” Bryan Danielson, because he's not coming to St. Louis for a wrestling match. He'll be there for a fight. The intense promo lit up the crowd.
Commercial Break
Tag Team Match Alex Riley & Chris Masters vs. Primo & Zack Ryder w/ Courtney
- Riley and Masters make for a solid heel tag team, but the real story here was the newly formed friendship between Ryder and Primo. They used some crisp double team moves and showed some legit chemistry. Masters used his strength to give his team an advantage, but a well timed Zack Attack sealed up the victory for the new tag team.
Winners: Primo and Zack Ryder [6:02] **¼
[/li][li] We cut to find Josh Matthews in the back once more, this time with the “Tuesday Night Delight” himself, John Morrison. He asks Morrison about his recent struggles as he lost to Drew McIntyre last week and was on the wrong end of two Pay-Per-View matches with Ezekiel Jackson. Morrison admits he has hit a rough patch, but reminds us of a win two weeks ago against Zack Ryder. Teddy Long walks up and wants to announce to everyone that the ECW Talent Exchange is back and it's an exchange with both Raw and Smackdown. Morrison seems to get an idea and claims that he will be on Raw next week and he's looking for one specific superstar. The audience is left wondering who it is.Commercial BreakTelevision Championship Joe Hennig [c] vs. Wade Barrett [/li][li]Just like last week, ECW closes with a title match and just like last week, this was exciting. Barrett is quickly becoming must see television and showed why here tonight. He was in top heel form as he taunted the crowd and used some shady tactics. Barrett controlled the match for the most part, but Hennig got right back into it behind the crowd's rallying cries. He hooked Barrett for the Hennig-Plex, but it was blocked and Barrett hoisted Hennig onto his shoulders before dropping him with the Wasteland! He covered and got the three to become Television Champion. Winner and NEW Television Champion: Wade Barrett [9:12] ***[/li][li] Wade Barrett is handed the Television Title and he stares down at it. He grabs a microphone and begins to talk about his takeover of ECW. He says that he destroyed the General Manager himself, defeated John Cena and now he's won the Television Title. There's only one problem though; this isn't what he wants. He throws the Television Title down and says that the TV Title means nothing to him. He wants the ECW Title and he's coming for Bryan Danielson. It doesn't matter to him what the “Best in the World” are trying to accomplish, but not even they will get in the way of the Barrett Barrage. [/li][/ul] © WWE 2010

Barrett seems disgusted by winning the ECW Television Championship by beating Joe Hennig for it and I for one happen to agree with him because he is beneath that title, especially after picking up the biggest win of his life of his career beating John Cena in what I thought was an upset and he wants the ECW Championship, well Barrett should be in the running but I wonder if Barrett will surrender the ECW TV Title and if he does, then I say good for him
Nothing can stop The Barrett Barrage, not even The Best In The World stable and I for one agree with Barrett, this man is a future WWE Champion or a future World Heavyweight Champion the first ever English-born WWE Champion or the first-ever English born World Heavyweight Champion
I wonder who Morrison is looking for on RAW, well whoever it is, I wonder just who he will feud with considering Morrison is an ECW superstar but since the Talent Exchange is back, he can show up on RAW but whoever it is, maybe it can help elevate Morrison to where he wants and or needs to be
Primo and Ryder beating Masters and Riley, I really loved it because Primo and Ryder both are starting to come into their own as faces
Ezekiel Jackson making a statement an emphatic statement beating The Hurricane in impressive fashion laying him out with not one but two Book of Ezekiels, this just goes to show you that Big Zeke is ready for The Bash and that he is ready for John Cena but can even Cena stop Big Zeke at this point?
Loved Joe Hennig's promo, 3rd generation superstar the son of Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig grandson of Larry The Ax Hennig, Joe is starting to come into his own as a superstar especially here on ECW but I feel that Joe if he is ever really going to go anywhere in the WWE he is going to have to turn heel at some point, maybe even form a gimmick similar to that of his father Mr. Perfect because Joe is the next generation of perfection
Kaval beating Paul Burchill, just goes to show you that he also is in the running for the ECW Championship or that he wants it, wow Bryan Danielson is quite the marked man these days with everyone gunning for his title
Why not have a 20-man over the top rope battle royal on ECW to determine just who the next #1 Contender will be for the ECW Championship? That's an idea for a future ECW episode
But I loved how you opened up the show with the new ECW Champion Bryan Danielson on the Abe Washington Show only to be attacked by Best In The World member Drew McIntyre, now this is personal heading into the Bash

I was hoping to see this updated someday.
Pretty nice edition of ECW with a good main event and shocking ending. Barrett wins the TV Title but throws it down saying he wants the big belt, interesting. Any match between him and Danielson should be good and I can see Barrett winning the title. So is this the end of the ECW Television Title?
Again a nice show and I hope you stick with this. I'd hate to see it slip into a coma again.

Nice to see this back, remembering following this pretty closely during the original run. McIntyre/Danielson sounds like it will be awesome, fan of both guys so I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Nice to see Kaval around, looking strong. Interested to see who Morrison is going to face on Raw. Nice to see Barrett win the TV title. Looking forward to seeing more of this around. Hope it's a regular thing.

Wow, you're back! Let's party! At the same time, let's take a look at the latest edition of ECW.
Great way to kick off the show with the Abraham Washington Show, featuring ECW Champion Bryan Danielson. Loved the comments Washington made toward Danielson, since that seems like something he would do. But as the interview goes along, number 1 contender and rival Drew McIntyre comes out to lay out Danielson. It really makes the Sinister Scotsman look strong going into the Bash, but I feel the American Dragon will retain come Sunday. Great match featuring Kaval and Paul Burchill. Since this is apparently the final match in their feud, I wonder where they each go from here. Enjoyed the promo from Television Champion Joe Hennig. It really gets the point across and builds him up as one of ECW's stars. Pretty obvious result with Ezekiel Jackson defeating the Hurricane. Wow, the Hurricane has certainly fallen down the ladder recently. It might be time to cut him loose. As for Jackson, he gets his point across by decimating ECW's resident superhero and looks ready for John Cena at the Bash. Intense promo from Danielson. He's ready for war. Good match with the new team of Zack Ryder and Primo defeating Alex Riley and Chris Masters. The Ryder/Primo tandem can certainly add to the tag team division. It's especially beneficial for Primo, since he looked a little lost after splitting from his brother, Carlito. So, the ECW Talent Exchange is back on with RAW and SmackDown. John Morrison is going take advantage of it to reignite the fire within him after falling short of regaining the ECW Championship in previous months. As for the specific superstar on RAW, I think it's Dolph Ziggler. It provides a fresh new challenger for Ziggler's Intercontinental Championship. Finally, the main event! Just like that, Wade Barrett defeats Hennig to become the new Television Champion. But just like Shane Douglas did to the NWA Championship way back in the day, Barrett throws down the Television Championship. Looks like he's got bigger fish to fry. Specifically, the ECW Championship. It appears that the Television Championship is no more, if your main page is anything to go by. I'm not sure what to think about this. On one hand, it removes the secondary championship, which might leave some ECW superstars out in the cold. On the other hand, the talent exchange with RAW and SmackDown can be used to boost the midcard scenes on those brands by having ECW superstars challenge for the Intercontinental Championship and United States Championship. But other than that, an enjoyable show.
I really enjoy this diary. It seems that whenever I try to predict what will happen next, you throw a curveball. I like that. Kudos! Can't wait to see what happens next.

Hilarious questions by Abraham Washington. Seemed like an interesting start to this week's ECW. McIntyre versus Danielson sounds good. Decent win for Kaval. Hope to see him face Danielson sometime soon. Nice squash for Jackson. He has a good look that could go far. Nice promo from Danielson, good way to hype his match against Drew. Good use of the Talent Exchange. Excited to see who Morrison is looking for. Barrett throwing down the title after winning it reminds of Shane Douglas, Wade could be a very good number one heel for ECW and potentially the other brands if used right.

Roster Recap
- AJ Lee – Made her debut in December. Gail Kim took her under her wing and began to mentor the young Diva. Lee improved enough to earn a Women’s Championship match at Extreme Rules and was near victory until Gail Kim entered the ring and turned her back on her. Currently set to face Gail Kim and Serena Mancini in a Triple Threat match for the Women’s Championship.
- Alberto Del Rio – Debuted in May. Instantly made an impact and targeted former WWE Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter. Defeated MVP in a Loser Leaves Raw match at the King of Ring. At that same show, joined forces with Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson and Gail Kim in the “Best in the World”. Interfered and ruined Kofi Kingston’s Money in the Bank cash in attempt. Currently set to meet Kingston one on one at The Bash.
- Alex Riley – Debuted as the “Varsity Villain” on ECW in June and instantly challenged Joe Hennig for the now defunct Television Championship. Was unsuccessful in taking the belt before it was retired.
- Alicia Fox – Competitor in the Divas division and currently not in an angle.
- Batista – Competed for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXV but was unable to win the gold. Had a long summer rivalry with Triple H as they traded victories before moving into a feud with Kane where he stole Kane’s mask. Earned a shot at being the number one contender but failed to take the WWE Title from Triple H at the Royal Rumble 2010. Took a loss in the Brand Supremacy match against Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XXVI. Currently injured at the hands of the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus but has promised revenge once he returns.
- Beth Phoenix – Traded the Women’s Championship with Melina early in 2009 before dropping it to Victoria early in the summer. Was unable to recapture the belt throughout the year, but was drafted to Smackdown in 2010 and should be a contender for the Women’s Championship again soon.
- Big Show – Dealt with injuries until returning in late June 2009 and instantly entering a feud with the Money in the Bank holder, Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin defeated Show in a Knockout match at SummerSlam after hitting him with the golden briefcase. Moved into a small feud with Chris Masters before becoming a thorn in Vickie Guerrero’s side. Currently scheduled to compete in a Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship at the Bash but if he loses, he is going to be forced to leave Smackdown.
- Brian Kendrick – Found success as The Brian Kendrick in early 2009 competing in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV and winning the United States Championship on Smackdown. Continued to work in the mid-card until he teamed up with the returning Paul London and they ended the lengthy WWE Tag Team Title reign of the New Hart Foundation on Christmas. Currently still a part of the tag team division on Friday nights.
- Bryan Danielson – Arrived on the scene at the tail end of 2009 and impressed before forming a short term team with Tommy Dreamer to challenge Perfectly Awesome for the World Tag Team Titles. Earned an ECW Championship match at WrestleMania XXVI against Jack Swagger but was unable to dethrone the Champion. Eventually got another shot and took down ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson on July 6th, 2010 to become the new Champion. Currently in a hate filled feud with Drew McIntyre as McIntyre tried to end Danielson’s career with a vicious chair shot during a suicide dive.
- Carlito – Defended the WWE Tag Team Titles with Primo until they dropped the belts at WrestleMania XXV to the New Hart Foundation. Would face them in a Steel Cage to main event Smackdown later in the year before getting drafted over to ECW. Ended up in a rivalry with Primo on ECW before being traded to Raw where he has competed in the mid-card and challenged for the Intercontinental Championship.
- Caylen Croft – Debuted with Trent Barreta as they sided with former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins to form the Dudebusters. Competed in the Unification Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania XXVI but couldn’t win the straps. Defeated the Hart Trilogy to win the WWE World Tag Team Titles at Extreme Rules in a Falls Count Anywhere match and use the “Freebird” rule to defend the belts.
- Charlie Haas – Formed a tag team with Jamie Noble known as the Technicians. Went on to win the World Tag Team Titles before losing them to Legacy and failing to regain them. Moved to Smackdown and failed to win the WWE Tag Team Titles. The team disbanded when Haas was drafted to ECW in 2010 where he has competed in singles action. Got punted by Randy Orton during one of Orton’s vicious streaks, leading to the current rivalry between Shelton Benjamin and Orton.
- Chris Jericho – Challenged for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXV but lost before moving into a short feud with Rey Mysterio. Got drafted to Smackdown and targeted The Undertaker, even defeating him at The Bash but losing in the rematch at SummerSlam in a Hell in a Cell. Began a feud with Jeff Hardy for a few months before ending the World Title reign of CM Punk at Survivor Series. Dropped the title at Armageddon back to Punk before competing in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. Won the Brand Supremacy match at WrestleMania XXVI before finally defeating John Cena at Backlash with his career on the line. Won the WWE Championship from Edge at King of the Ring thanks to the formation of the “Best in the World” in which Jericho is the leader. Sold the WWE Title for the World Heavyweight Title to CM Punk so he can represent the “World”. Heading into a title defense against Edge at The Bash.
- Chris Masters – Returned in the fall of 2009 and seemed headed for the United States Title but couldn’t win it. Feuded with Big Show late in 2009 before being drafted to ECW where he began a program with the Hurricane.
- Christian – Returned to the WWE at the 2010 Royal Rumble where he eliminated himself and his brother Edge. Participated in the Elimination Chamber where his brother won the WWE Championship. Wrestled Edge in a brother vs. brother WWE Title match at WrestleMania XXVI but was unable to win the gold. Was drafted to Smackdown and was unable to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a Ladder match at Extreme Rules. Was also unable to win the King of the Ring after making it to the Finals and set to face The Miz in a rematch of those Finals at The Bash.
- CM Punk – Won the Intercontinental Championship from William Regal at the 2009 Royal Rumble before defending it at WrestleMania XXV successfully against Paul Burchill. Lost it to Burchill two weeks later on Raw before engaging in a short feud with JBL. Got drafted to Smackdown where he feuded with Shelton Benjamin before winning the Gold Rush Tournament and earning a World Title match against Randy Orton. Lost to Orton at Night of Champions but bested him 4-3 in an Ironman match at The Bash. Successfully defended the title at SummerSlam, Unforgiven, No Mercy and Cyber Sunday. Dropped the belt to Jericho at Survivor Series but regained it at Armageddon before Shelton Benjamin cashed in Money in the Bank on him. Failed to beat Benjamin at the Royal Rumble and started feeling like there was a conspiracy against him because he is Straight Edge and better than everyone. Forced Shawn Michaels out of retirement at WrestleMania XXVI but HBK beat him. Formed the Straight Edge Society with Drew Gallows, Serena Mancini and Joseph Matthews before winning back the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules.
- Cody Rhodes – Participated in the Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank in 2009 as a part of Legacy. After Randy Orton was drafted to Smackdown, stayed in Legacy with Ted Dibiase and Joe Hennig. Won the World Tag Team Titles with Joe Hennig and was part of the tag team division until WrestleMania XXVI. Was then drafted to Smackdown where he started to call himself “The Prince of Pro Wrestling” and working in the mid-card. Currently in a TV rivalry with his older brother, Goldust.
- Courtney – Current girlfriend of ECW’s Zack Ryder.
- Curt Hawkins – Teamed with Zack Ryder at WrestleMania XXV in an unsuccessful attempt to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Stayed in the tag team division but didn’t accomplish much with Zack Ryder until Ryder was traded to ECW. Joined up with new superstars Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft to form the Dudebusters. Won the WWE World Tag Team Titles from The Hart Trilogy and currently defend them under the “Freebird” rule.
- Darren Young – Debuted in early 2010 with Percy Watson as the South Beach Party Boys. Have had success but have been unable to capture the WWE World Tag Team Titles.
- Drew Gallows – Part of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society and tag team partner of Joseph Matthews.
- Drew McIntyre – Debuted in early 2010 and targeted Evan Bourne before qualifying for the Royal Rumble. Earned an Intercontinental Title shot in a Fatal Four Way at Elimination Chamber, but Kaval retained. Drafted to ECW and began a bitter rivalry with Bryan Danielson as he attempted to potentially end the career of the American Dragon. Joined the “Best in the World” along with Chris Jericho. Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Ezekiel Jackson, William Regal and Gail Kim. Currently the number one contender for Danielson’s ECW Championship.
- Dolph Ziggler – Floundered towards the bottom of Raw until getting drafted to ECW in 2009. While there, formed a tag team with The Miz known as “Perfectly Awesome”. They would win the World Tag Team Titles from the Second City Saints and even defend them successfully against Triple H and John Cena. Perfectly Awesome eventually lost the straps and couldn’t regain them at WrestleMania XXVI before Dolph was drafted back to Raw. He shined this time around though and managed to capture the Intercontinental Championship from Elijah Burke, which he still holds at present time.
- Edge – Won the 2009 Royal Rumble and challenged Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXV. Didn’t win the belt before moving into a violent feud with Shane McMahon, ending when Edge nailed him with multiple con-chair-tos. Got back into the World Title picture during the summer where he failed to win the belt in a Fatal Four Way at SummerSlam, Scramble match at Unforgiven, singles match at No Mercy and a Ladder match at Cyber Sunday. Began to go a bit insane with his inability to win what matters the most to him, engaging in a great feud with Kofi Kingston. Edge finally won the big one again at Elimination Chamber before retaining it at WrestleMania XXVI against Christian. Lost the title at King of the Ring to Chris Jericho due to the formation of the Best in the World. Currently set for his rematch at The Bash.
- Elijah Burke – Returned at the end of 2008 and began a long feud with Matt Hardy for the ECW Championship, which he won at WrestleMania XXV. Would lose it to Mr. Kennedy during the summer but stayed a relevant part of the ECW Title picture. Competed in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI before being drafted to Raw where he won the Intercontinental Championship, which he would lose to Dolph Ziggler.
- Evan Bourne – Became the first Television Champion at No Way Out 2009 before losing it to Jack Swagger. Got drafted over to Raw where he instantly shined and eventually won the Intercontinental Championship during a good feud with Ted Dibiase Jr. Would lose it to Ryan Braddock before having some great matches with the next Champion, Kaval. Stayed on Raw and feuded with Drew McIntyre before teaming with new Superstar Justin Angel to form the AirBourne Angels.
- Ezekiel Jackson – Began 2009 as the bodyguard of The Brian Kendrick until he drafted over to ECW in the middle of 2009. Suffered a tough injury that cost him a lot of momentum. Returned in early 2010 and was a dominating presence, eventually winning the ECW Championship from Tommy Dreamer. Successfully defended the belt against John Morrison on Pay-Per-Views before joining The Best in the World in June. Shortly after, lost the belt to Bryan Danielson but currently in a huge feud with John Cena, set for a clash at The Bash.
- Gail Kim – Returned in 2009 and dethroned Natalya Neidhart as WWE Divas Champion. Traded the belt with her throughout the year until losing it to Maryse at Cyber Sunday. Took April Lee, now AJ Lee, under her wing to help the future of the Divas division. When Lee earned a Title shot at Extreme Rules by beating Gail Kim, Kim seemed proud but ended up costing Lee her shot. Now, a member of the Best in the World, is set to face Lee and Serena Mancini in a Women’s Title match at The Bash.
- Goldust – Returned in 2010 and currently engulfed in a feud with his ashamed brother, Cody Rhodes.
- Harry Smith – Reigned as WWE Tag Team Champion with TJ Wilson from WrestleMania XXV until Christmas 2009 where they lost the belts to Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Continued to stay impressive in the division and won the Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania XXVI to unify the World and WWE Tag Team Titles. Lost those belts to The Dudebusters at Extreme Rules, but remain a big part of the tag team division.
- Jack Swagger – Feuded with Evan Bourne over the Television Championship in early 2009, which he won on an episode of ECW. Dropped the title to Gavin Spears as Night of Champions before getting into a rivalry with Rey Mysterio. Turned that into an ECW Title shot at Survivor Series against Mr. Kennedy in which he won the belt. Defeated Mysterio again at the Royal Rumble and Tommy Dreamer at No Way Out, forcing Dreamer to call Swagger the “King of ECW”. Successfully defended the belt at WrestleMania XXVI against Bryan Danielson but was then drafted to Smackdown and forced to relinquish the ECW Title. Set his sights on Tyler Black’s United States Title, which he won at Backlash. The “All-American American” is now a member of the Best in the World and Black is looking for another shot at the belt.
- Jeff Hardy – After realizing his dream and winning the WWE Championship, defended it successfully against Edge at WrestleMania XXV. Lost the title to Kane at Backlash before assisting Shane McMahon in his feud with Edge. Moved into a rivalry with Umaga before injuring Randy Orton at Unforgiven. Moved into a short feud with Chris Jericho where he was attacked by a man in a mask, and then one with Shelton Benjamin that culminated at Armageddon. At that show, the masked man revealed himself to be a vengeful Randy Orton. Jeff would win the 2010 Royal Rumble after entering at number 4 and lasting a record setting 67 minutes. Kept his title shot against CM Punk at No Way Out and won the World Title from Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXVI. Began a rivalry with CM Punk over Punk’s Straight Edge lifestyle before losing the belt to him at Extreme Rules. Failed in his rematch and is set to be part of the Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Title at the Bash. Just like Big Show, if Jeff loses, he must leave Smackdown.
- Jimmy Uso – Debuted with his brother Jules in 2010 and have been a big part of the tag team division.
- Jimmy Yang – Competed as Jimmy Wang Yang for 2009 but formed a team with Yoshi Tatsu. Jamie Noble manages them and they are known as the Jung Dragons.
- Joe Hennig – Made his debut in April of 2009 and joined Legacy as the “Next Generation of Perfection.” Won the World Tag Team Titles with Cody Rhodes, defending it throughout most of 2009 before losing it to the Second City Saints. Couldn’t win at WrestleMania XXVI, but was drafted to ECW forcing him to compete as a singles star. Turned face and won the Television Championship from Zack Ryder before turning away all challengers until he ran into Wade Barrett. Barrett defeated him and threw down the TV Title, retiring it.
- John Cena – Defended the World Heavyweight Championship in his first reign until WrestleMania XXV when he lost it to Randy Orton. Couldn’t win in a rematch and couldn’t dethrone Kane for the WWE Title until he won a Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions. Faced rising star Montel Vontavious Porter at SummerSlam, where he lost the WWE Championship. Moved into a feud with Triple H before taking on Ted Dibiase Jr and gaining respect for Dibiase. Heading into 2010, targeted The Undertaker as the biggest threat to the legendary Streak in history, but couldn’t do the impossible. Feuded with Chris Jericho until Jericho won the WWE Title in a Triple Threat match also involving Champion Edge at King of the Ring. Currently has issues with the Best in the World and is facing Ezekiel Jackson at The Bash.
- John Morrison – Partner of The Miz until he was drafted to Smackdown in 2009. Began to challenge for the United States Championship and finally beat Kofi Kingston to become Champion at Unforgiven. Successfully defended the belts for months until running into Tyler Black, with whom he had an awesome Best of Seven series. Black won the series 4-3 at the Royal Rumble. Morrison was part of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI before being drafted back to ECW where he challenged Ezekiel Jackson for the ECW Title unsuccessfully.
- Joseph Matthews – Returned in 2010 and joined the Straight Edge Society. Teammate of Drew Gallows.
- JTG – Remained a part of Cryme Tyme until joining John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s Cabinet and changing his name to Jayson Paul. Won the World Tag Team Titles but would lose them eventually to the British Alliance. Turned back into Cryme Tyme before Shad was released and is now a member of the Blue Brand.
- Jules Uso – Teammate of his brother, Jimmy Uso.
- Justin Angel – Arrived on Raw in 2010 and began a team with Evan Bourne as the AirBourne Angels. Two of the WWE’s top high flyers have made an impact on the tag team division.
- Katie Lea Burchill – Valet and sister of Paul Burchill, but competed on her own and won the Women’s Championship at Night of Champions. Held it until losing it to Mickie James at No Mercy and now sporadically competes on ECW.
- Kaval – Debuted in 2009 and got into a feud with the British Alliance before facing Evan Bourne for the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam. Turned heel and joined forces with Kane and Paul Bearer, which led to him winning the Intercontinental Title. Lost the belt to Elijah Burke and was drafted to ECW where he has since turned face and is currently feuding with Paul Burchill.
- Kelly Kelly – Competes in the Divas division.
- Kofi Kingston – Was a part of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV before moving onto a feud with The Brian Kendrick, culminating in him winning the United States Championship. Would lose the belt to John Morrison at Unforgiven before moving onto a potential career-making feud with Edge. Got his first World Title shot at Armageddon in a Fatal Four Way and couldn’t win, but defeated Edge in a Steel Cage on New Year’s Day. Couldn’t beat Katie Lea Burchill for the belt at SummerSlam but got the job done at No Mercy. Held the title for 120 days before Serena Mancini defeated her at the 2010 Royal Rumble. Has since begun a feud with Michelle McCool for the Divas Title.
- Mr. Kennedy – Was upset at being left off of WrestleMania XXV but was then drafted to ECW where he found new life. Failed twice but captured the ECW Title on his third attempt at Night of Champions. Traded the belt with Kevin Thorn during the summer and the fall before losing it for good to Jack Swagger. Was part of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI and then drafted to Raw where he has competed for the Intercontinental Championship.

Lost the title in a Triple Threat match at Judgment Day to Ted Dibiase Jr. before moving into a tag team with William Regal known as the British Alliance. Won the World Tag Team Titles but lost it during the Tag Team Turmoil at WrestleMania XXVI. The team disbanded after Burchill was drafted to ECW where he has begun a rivalry with Kaval.

- R-Truth – Part of Smackdown’s mid-card.
- Randy Orton – Won the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out 2009 and won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXV. Defended it successfully against John Cena, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker and CM Punk before Punk dethroned him at The Bash. Suffered an injury at the hands of Jeff Hardy at Unforgiven and targeted Jeff when he returned. Won the Elimination Chamber again at No Way Out 2010, this time becoming World Heavyweight Champion again before losing it to Jeff at WrestleMania XXVI. Fell into a slump before snapping after losing to Rey Mysterio at Extreme Rules. He punted Rey and several other superstars during matches that he wasn’t even a part of. After punting Charlie Haas, Haas’ former teammate Shelton Benjamin targeted Orton and they are currently engulfed in a bitter war.
- Rey Mysterio – Bested Mike Knox in a rivalry at the start of 2009 before competing in Money in the Bank and facing Chris Jericho at Backlash. Was drafted to ECW where he had success but was brutally beaten by Triple H during The Game’s rivalry with Rey’s friend Batista. Returned to ECW to feud with Jack Swagger before participating in the Brand Supremacy match at WrestleMania XXVI. Was drafted back to Smackdown in 2010 and feuded with Randy Orton but is now set to compete in the Six Pack Challenge at The Bash.
- Serena Mancini – Arrived on Raw in late 2009 and headed straight for the Women’s Championship. Was the sole survivor at Survivor Series and won the Women’s Title on her second try at the Royal Rumble. Has defended it since then, making her the longest reigning Champion in the WWE. Has joined the Straight Edge Society and will defend her belt against both AJ Lee and Gail Kim at The Bash.
- Sheamus – Teamed with his Uncle Finlay upon arrival in 2009, even earning a Tag Team Title match at SummerSlam, but coming up short. Then turned his back on his uncle and beat Sheamus in a feud that culminated in a Belfast Brawl. Was part of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI but couldn’t win before being drafted to Raw. Took out Batista and put him on the shelf before being hired by Ted Dibiase to take out The Undertaker. Beat The Undertaker at Extreme Rules in a Belfast Brawl also put him on the shelf before targeting Ted Dibiase as well, saying he didn’t beat Undertaker for him or the money, he just did it because he could. Dibiase has since returned and challenged Sheamus to a match at The Bash.
- Shelton Benjamin – Failed to capture the WWE Title at the 2009 Royal Rumble and dropped the United States at No Way Out a month later. Things turned around when he won Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV and got on a hot streak. Defeated MVP, Mr. Kennedy, CM Punk and Big Show throughout the summer before targeting the Undertaker. Split a pair of matches with him, winning the Casket match though before feuding with Jeff Hardy. Cashed in Money in the Bank after CM Punk won a grueling Fatal Four Way match at Armageddon. Defended the title on various Smackdowns and the Royal Rumble before losing it at Elimination Chamber. Beat MVP in an Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania before challenging for the World Title again at Extreme Rules. Moved into a feud with Randy Orton after Orton punted his friend Charlie Haas.
- Ted Dibiase Jr. – Returned at WrestleMania XXV and helped Randy Orton win the World Heavyweight Title. When Orton was drafted to Smackdown, Dibiase took over as leader of Legacy and won the Intercontinental Title, which he held from May until July, losing it to Evan Bourne. Moved to the top of the card, even winning the fan’s votes despite being heel to get a WWE Title shot at Cyber Sunday, but he came up just short. Feuded with John Cena at the end of 2009 and into 2010 and earned the respect of Cena. Participated in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI and then targeted the Undertaker. Couldn’t beat him at Backlash and got hurt so he hired Sheamus to do the job. Sheamus did it and then assaulted Ted Dibiase Jr. so upon his return he has targeted the “Celtic Warrior.”
- The Hurricane – Won the United States Title at No Way Out 2009 and participated in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXV. Lost the belt to The Brian Kendrick and fell into a losing slump after being drafted to ECW. Turned back into the Hurricane and won the Television Championship, holding it for 92 days before losing to Zack Ryder. Feuding with Chris Masters currently.
- The Miz – After his team with John Morrison broke up, people didn’t’ expect much from The Miz but they were wrong. After struggling in his first few months alone on ECW, joined up with Dolph Ziggler to form Perfectly Awesome, a team that would end up winning the World Tag Team Titles and defeating Triple H and John Cena on Pay-Per-View. Lost the belts and the Tag Team Turmoil at WrestleMania XXVI but was drafted to Smackdown. Won the King of the Ring Tournament to the surprise of many by beating Christian with a backslide. Is set for a WWE Title match at SummerSlam and is calling himself King Miz The Awesome, but has a rematch with Christian set for The Bash.
- The Undertaker – Was eliminated from the 2009 Royal Rumble after the lights went out and it was revealed to be done by Kane. Defeated Kane at WrestleMania for a third time before going after the World Heavyweight Title. Couldn’t win that thanks to Chris Jericho, who he began a feud with as they trade victories but Undertaker won the Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam. Traded wins with Shelton Benjamin as well, but Shelton won the Casket match and Undertaker took a hiatus. Returned and beat John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XXVI before beating Ted Dibiase. Was taken out by Sheamus at Extreme Rules and hasn’t been seen since.
- Tiffany – Recently joined the Raw roster and has improved in the ring.
- TJ Wilson – Has had two successful Tag Team Title runs with Harry Smith as part of the Hart Trilogy. Also competed for the World Title on a July 2009 episode of Smackdown. Currently part of the tag team division.
- Trent Barreta - Debuted with Caylen Croft as they sided with former WWE Tag Team Champion Curt Hawkins to form the Dudebusters.
- Triple H – Had a bitter feud with Umaga that culminated in a Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania XXV before being drafted to Raw and turning heel. Targeted MVP before moving into a long feud with Batista, followed by one with John Cena. Went back to MVP but this time, for the WWE Championship, making it his mission to once again wear the belt. One year after losing the belt at Armageddon, he won it back by winning a Steel Cage match against MVP. Lost it and was injured during the Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out.
- Tyler Black – Debuted as part of the Brood on ECW but gained popularity due to his high flying style. The Brood turned on him after he won the Television Title and he feuded with Kevin Thorn. Was traded to Smackdown and won a Best of Seven Series with John Morrison to become the United States Champion. Competed in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI but then lost the belt at Backlash to Jack Swagger, who he is currently still feuding with.
- Val Venis – Stayed on as a consistent part of the roster before becoming Sean Morley again and was Eric Bischoff’s assistant. Turned back into Val Venis when drafted to ECW.
- Wade Barrett – Debuted on ECW in 2010 and made an immediate impact. Hit General Manger Theodore Long with the Wasteland, earning himself a suspension which he appealed and defeated John Cena to win the appeal. Won the Television Championship but threw it down and has set his sights on Bryan Danielson and the ECW Championship.
- William Regal – Lost the Intercontinental Title to CM Punk at the 2009 Royal Rumble before joining forces with Paul Burchill to create the British Alliance. Won the Tag Team Titles but lost them at WrestleMania XXVI during the Tag Team Turmoil match. Was drafted to Smackdown and joined the Best in the World stable.
- Yoshi Tatsu – Struggled after starting hot following his debut on Raw but joined up with Jimmy Yang to form the Jung Dragons. Moved to Smackdown where they now compete.
- Zack Ryder – Was a part of WrestleMania XXV but failed to capture the WWE Tag Team Titles. After struggling with Curt Hawkins was moved to ECW and debuted his new persona as the Long Island Bro. Won the Television Title alongside his girlfriend Tiffany but lost the belt to Joe Hennig after 126 days. Has recently turned face.

July 16th, 2010 | KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky
After the opening video plays, Matt Striker and Todd Grisham welcome everyone to tonight’s sold out edition of Friday night Smackdown. Tonight, five of the six man involved in Sunday’s Six Pack Challenge will be in action. Shelton Benjamin, Big Show and Rey Mysterio do battle in a Triple Threat match while Randy Orton takes on Jeff Hardy in a rematch of WrestleMania 26’s World Title match.“This Fire Burns” hits as the WWE Champion CM Punk comes down to the ring with the rest of the Straight Edge Society in tow. They get in the ring and CM Punk grabs a microphone. He begins to talks about this Sunday, when he unjustly has to defend his Championship against five other undeserving Superstars. None of them hold a candle to him because he is the WWE Champion for a reason. He is the best in the world because he is straight edge and better than the rest of the participants in the Six Pack Challenge. No matter how many obstacles Stephanie McMahon and Vickie Guerrero put in his way, he promises to go down as the greatest WWE Champion in history. To prove that being straight edge does indeed make you better, he shows off the Women’s Champion, Serena Mancini and guarantees that she will also retain her belt at The Bash. Lastly, Punk says that Drew Gallows and Joseph Matthews are about to step into tag team action and they will win because they’ve accepted him as their savior. Commercial BreakThe Straight Edge Society w/ CM Punk & Serena Mancini def. Paul London and Brian KendrickA very solid tag team contest opens up Smackdown tonight. Paul London and Brian Kendrick were flying all over the ring while Drew Gallows used his power to stop them in their tracks. Joseph Matthews and Gallows have a great chemistry and busted out some double team moves before the Gallows Pole put down London. CM Punk rolls into the ring with Serena Mancini as they pose with the team of Joseph Matthews and Drew Gallows. Punk and Serena already wear Championships, so one can only imagine how powerful the Straight Edge Society would be if Gallows and Matthews could wear Tag Team gold.Cutting backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by with the United States Champion Jack Swagger, William Regal and Women’s Champion Gail Kim. He asks Swagger for his thoughts on Tyler Black being granted another match with Regal, with a shot at Swagger’s United States Title on the line. Swagger says that he believes it’s unfair as someone of his caliber should be treated better. He is the “All-American American”, but he has faith in Britain’s best, William Regal. Regal promises to make Black tap out tonight to keep the United States Title on the best American in the world.Commercial BreakA promo for this Monday’s Raw is shown. The fallout from The Bash Pay-Per-View will be featured on this night. Was Edge able to stop the leader of the “Best in the World” for the World Heavyweight Title? Find out Monday night on the USA Network. The self-proclaimed “Prince of Pro Wrestling” walks down to the ring with a microphone in hand. He says that tonight is the night that he’s been waiting for. He will defeat his estranged brother Goldust and once and for all prove to be the savior of the Rhodes Family. He was born and bred for this and nothing, not even his own flesh and blood; will get in the way of his path to gold in the WWE. Cody Rhodes def. GoldustThe battle of brothers was a fun one as Cody Rhodes and Goldust once again prove that they have great chemistry together. Some would even say they would probably make for a great tag team. However, that was the last thing on Cody’s mind as he was vicious in his attack on his brother. He used Hardcore Holly’s signature Alabama Slam for a near fall and Goldust got one as well after the Curtain Call. However, a Beautiful Disaster followed by the Cross Rhodes did Goldust in. Cody Rhodes raises his arms in victory as he has gotten the monkey off his back finally. He defeats his brother and looks very impressive as he looks for his first singles title in the WWE.
A graphic for the main event is shown as Randy Orton is set to do battle with Jeff Hardy tonight!Commercial BreakThe theme of The Miz hits as the 2010 King of the Ring enters the arena to massive boos. He gets in the ring and begins to speak about Christian. First of all, he defeated Christian in the Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament and he just wants to remind the WWE Universe of that. Secondly, he agreed to face Christian at The Bash because some people are still doubting him. They think that because he won the King of the Ring with a backslide, that it was a fluke victory. He guarantees to beat Christian soundly at The Bash and continue his momentum heading into his WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. The WWE Championship is his destiny and the one thing he has wanted more than anything in his career. Christian can talk all he wants about how he returned to become WWE Champion and how he came up short at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania, Extreme Rules and King of the Ring, but he hasn’t wanted this since he was a kid. He left the WWE and headed south while the Miz promises to never leave. Yet the crowd boos him because he was on a reality show when he was younger. Miz says that if you watch his time on that show, all he spoke of was that he was going to make it as a WWE Superstar and he did just that. His crowning achievement will be at SummerSlam when he becomes the WWE Champion. Christian interrupts as he walks onto the stage with a microphone. Christian says that he didn’t come out to rain on The Miz’s parade because he commends him for winning the King of the Ring fairly and for coming close to accomplishing his childhood dream. However, he did disagree with at least one thing that “King Miz The Awesome” said, which is that winning the WWE Title wasn’t something Christian has dreamed of since his childhood. He has wanted to be the WWE Champion since he first saw wrestling as a kid in Toronto. He also understands why the WWE Universe cheers him and boos Miz. They cheer him because they see the desire that he has to win the WWE Title and even though he left for a while, he came back for the WWE Universe and to win the WWE Title. In his mind, they don’t boo The Miz because he was on the Real World; they boo him because he’s a jerk. Miz gets upset at this and Christian says that at The Bash, he will beat The Miz and prove that he deserves a Championship match. Because he’s Christian and that’s how he rolls. The crowd pops for the finish as Christian teased stealing The Miz’s catchphrase. Commercial BreakReturning to Smackdown, Matt Striker is standing by with the WWE Champion CM Punk. He asks for his thoughts on two men speaking about becoming the WWE Champion while he holds the belt. CM Punk shrugs it off and says that they can talk about their hopes and dreams all they want but the reality is that he is the WWE Champion because he is straight edge and that makes him better than both The Miz and Christian. It makes him better than the other five men in the Six Pack Challenge and the entire WWE roster. After the Bash and after SummerSlam, CM Punk will still be your WWE Champion. Triple Threat MatchBig Show def. Rey Mysterio and Shelton BenjaminIn a slight preview of the Six Pack Challenge this Sunday, half of the competitors went at it in a Triple Threat match that had the crowd at the edge of their seats. Shelton Benjamin could not capitalize on the momentum he gained when he defeated the WWE Champion last week as the Big Show seems on a mission to not leave Smackdown against his will. The finish came when Rey Mysterio hit the 619 on Benjamin, but was nailed with the Weapon of Mass Destruction by Big Show when he tried the West Coast Pop. Show covered and picked up the win. The crowd roars as Big Show picks up the win and Vickie Guerrero is shown furious backstage. She wants nothing more than to get rid of the Big Show and Jeff Hardy from Smackdown.
A graphic is shown for the main event when Jeff Hardy faces Randy Orton!Commercial BreakTyler Black def. William Regal w/ Gail Kim & United States Champion Jack SwaggerLast week William Regal defeated Tyler Black under dubious circumstances so Black was granted this rematch with the stipulation that if he wins, he earns another United States Title shot against Jack Swagger. Much like last week, this was a great match as Regal can still go in the ring. Black went for the Phoenix Splash and Swagger tried to knock him off the top again but Black kicked him off. He then hit the Phoenix Splash and got the win. Tyler Black celebrates his victory as the crowd erupts and he will get a United States Title shot. Will he be able to pull off a Bryan Danielson and win a Championship from a member of the “Best in the World?”
Backstage, The Dudebusters are shown playing video games when Paul London and Brian Kendrick enter saying they want another non-title match so they can earn a title shot. Caylen Croft laughs and says that they beat them last week and they couldn’t beat the Straight Edge Society tonight so there is no way they get another chance. Drew Gallows and Joseph Matthews enter and begin to brawl immediately with the five superstars and an all-out war goes down in the locker room until officials break it up.Commercial BreakReturning to Smackdown, Matt Striker is with AJ Lee. He asks for her thoughts on the Women’s Championship match this Sunday. Lee says that she has mixed emotions on the match. First, she’s excited because it’s a chance to realize her dream, but second it’s still bittersweet because of the betrayal that she felt from Gail Kim. She also feels that Serena Mancini has been a great Women’s Champion and knows that this will be the toughest match of her young career.
WWE Champion CM Punk’s music hits again, just like it did at the start of the show as he walks down, without the Straight Edge Society, and joins the commentary table.Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton via disqualificationThese two had a bitter rivalry that spanned across 2009 and 2010 and tonight was another good match from them. CM Punk talked trash about both competitors throughout the match even though the contest was pretty great. Both men picked up multiple near falls and the audience was totally behind Jeff Hardy. Randy Orton would hit his rope hung DDT followed by a powerslam to take control as he began to signal for the RKO. He went for it but Jeff reversed it and hit the Twist of Fate. CM Punk threw off his headset, ran in and began to attack Jeff Hardy causing the disqualification. CM Punk continues to level Jeff Hardy with right hands as Rey Mysterio and the Big Show run down to the ring, followed by Shelton Benjamin. Randy Orton gets up and the six men have a pier six brawl. The final Smackdown before The Bash ends with all six participants of the upcoming WWE Title match doing battle.

^ You didn't know about the centerpiece of this board? Man, you ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) in' up. Incredible to see this back, Kev. This was the first diary that I ever read, initially doing so around this time in 2009. Onto SmackDown, great promo from CM Punk to kick things off. It's a bit strange for him to refer to himself as the 'Best in the World' when there's a stable with that name over on Raw. Anywho, solid opening contest with the Straight Edge Society getting the victory. Definitely see them taking the WWE World Tag Team Championships at some point soon. Tyler Black versus William Regal tonight sounds awesome. I see Black going over there, but not regaining the United States Championship from Jack Swagger. Cody Rhodes defeating Goldust was expected, and the right call as well. Hoping to see Rhodes shine from this point on, reaching main event status in 2011. Good promo between The Miz and Christian. With Miz getting a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam, I can't imagine Christian going over. At the same time, he has yet to get a real PPV victory aside from beating Sheamus at King of the Ring. Should be interesting to see which direction you go in at the Bash. Big Show getting the win in the Triple Threat match was fine. Ah, I suddenly remembered the stipulation for the Bash regarding Show and Jeff Hardy. There's something else that will be interesting to watch play out. Tyler Black overcoming William Regal was expected, as I said before. Likely that Swagger will retain the United States Championship whenever the match takes place, but I really want Black to remain relevant. Nice segment with the Dudebuster, London & Kendrick, and the Straight Edge Society all brawling. These three teams, along with the Hart Trilogy and the AirBourne Angels, make for an amazing division. AJ Lee's interview served its purpose to hype the Women's Championship match at the Bash. I can't see her winning the title just yet, though. Lastly, huge main event between Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy. The disqualification finish was for the better, and a great finish to the show with all participants in the WWE Championship match at the Bash getting into a brawl. A good SmackDown overall. Stoked for the Bash.

Been reading through a few of your shows up too the first Mania. Also checked out the recap you gave. I'm a big fan of this. I know at times I have been a down on your more recent diary but that's because it's to similar to the WWE at the time which I didn't enjoy but this is all your own.
Look forward to reading more of your past shows and the upcoming bash PPV really top work Kev

So stoked to see that you've decided to bring this back, Kev! What I really love about this diary is that it's pretty much what Sims are all about. There is next to no similarity with the current day product - it's all your own doing. It's refreshing to see that around here. SmackDown was a decent show, I feel like it was lacking something but that's probably because you've just started back so aren't fully into the swing of things yet. I'm keen to see where Cody Rhodes goes from here now that his feud with Goldust is done and dusted. Really looking forward to reading another 97 pages, Kev. ![:-*](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/kiss.gif)

great opening contest between SES and the team of Paul and Brian, hmmmmmmm interesting, Cody vs Goldust would be a great feud, hopefully then have a feud at Summerslam, CM Punk vs The Miz at Summerslam ? heel vs heel ? , nah, maybe Christian will join the match, i was rooting for Shelton, maybe Big Show will win the title, what's the point of teaming Regal up with Swagger ? Swagger has american gimmick , why would he team with Regal ? great win by Rollins, hopefully he wins the title, great to see Punk interfere , i wonder who will win the title at Bash ?

Gosh darn. I remember reading this four and a half years ago and thinking I CAN DO THIS, AM GON DO THIS.
I believe I remember what was going on at this time for you, so lets get to it. The Straight Edge Society, Jesus, feels like forever ago. A decent promo to open the show up for CM Punk, leading to a tag team match with The S.E.S beating Londrick. Cody Rhodes vs Goldust would be a big match nowadays, probably wasn't much here. Although, Cody getting the rub from his brother is nice. I can see him becoming a champion in the near future. A good promo between The Miz and Christian and that is how Captain Charisma rolls, damn it! Should be a solid match at The Bash, even though The Miz will obviously win. Big Show winning over Mysterio and Benjamin is fine heading into the Six Pack Challenge on Sunday. Seth Rollins Tyler Black beating William Regal was obvious with his stuff going on with Jack Swagger, although I see Swagger being successful over Black in their match. CM Punk attacking Jeff Hardy is logical and a disqualification finish between Hardy and Orton was a good choice as it keeps both of them strong going into Sunday, especially since they are the only two I could consider threats to Punk. A good chaotic end and a solid show.

Holy frioles! This diary is back! Glad to see you haven't abandoned this one as it's one that got me into reading wrestling diaries. We're approaching The Bash, but first we have to get through Friday Night SmackDown. Let's begin.
Great way to open the show with CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society. I could definitely see CM Punk retaining the WWE Championship, but then again I might not be too certain of that. More on that later. Anyway, the first match sees the SES's Joseph Mercury and Drew Gallows defeating Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Good way to show the dominance of the SES on SmackDown as they go forward. Nice interview to progress the Jack Swagger/Tyler Black feud for the United States Championship. It looks like Black has to go through William Regal to get another shot though. Then we have Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust. Good call to have Cody win this one as he has more upside at this point. If this feud is now over, it's clear "The Prince of Pro Wrestling" has his sights set on going after the United States Championship. But where does Goldust go from here? Then we have the confrontation between the Miz and Christian. This is a good feud because both guys are pretty similar character-wise and know how to work the mic. I see Miz going over in this feud and heading on to SummerSlam for a shot at the WWE Championship. Now earlier, I said CM Punk will most likely retain his title in the Six-Pack Challenge, but I'm not sure if that will be the case. If he does retain, it will be Punk and Miz, two heels, battling for the championship. I just don't see that working for a major pay-per-view. Good call to have Big Show go over Rey Mysterio and Shelton Benjamin in the triple threat match. I don't see Show walking out of the Bash with the championship though, but it does boost his momentum, especially with the stipulation that if he doesn't win, he's gone. Black over Regal was the obvious result as it continues Black's feud with Swagger over the United States Championship. The Bash's card is pretty stacked so I don't see the match happening then. But I could see this feud go either way. Great segment with the Unified WWE World Tag Team Champion Dudebusters, Londrick and the SES. Looks like SES might be looking to add more gold to their ranks. I remember you had planned on doing a TLC match with the Dudebusters, Londrick, Hart Trilogy and Airbourne Angels for this edition of SmackDown. Whether you forgot or chose not to do it, I think that's best as that kind of match seems more appropriate for a pay-per-view. Finally, we have the main event of Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy, a WrestleMania rematch. Good call to have the match end in a disqualification as it still makes Hardy look strong going into the match. Then we have a massive brawl to end the show. Great go-home edition of SmackDown. It really makes me look forward to see the Bash.
I like how you did a little update on what the roster has been up to since this diary began. It's good for those who have just started reading to know what's going on. I really enjoy this diary. It seems that whenever I try to predict what will happen next, you throw a curveball. I like that. Kudos! Can't wait to see what happens next.

I didn't re-read the Raw before this so this is what happens when you stop writing for a year. It will be moved to either Raw or next week's Smackdown.
