Awesome to see you still at this, dude! It's a great diary to read.
We start off with John Cena and Chris Jericho in the opening and these two didn't disappoint. We're looking at Cena taking on Ezekiel Jackson at the Bash and it's a good start for the Best in the World storyline. It can be like Cena going through the warrior braves before taking on the chief in Jericho. Good opening match with John Morrison and Sheamus and good call with Sheamus winning as it gives him momentum going into his match against Ted DiBiase Jr. Looks like Dolph Ziggler is going to have his hands full now that Elijah Burke and Carlito are making their claims known for the Intercontinental Championship. Loving it. It appears that the Airbourne Angels made a statement with Evan Bourne victorious over Curt Hawkins. First Londrick on SmackDown and now the Angels on RAW, it looks like the Dudebusters might be in trouble of losing their Unified Tag Team Championships. Having Cena and Bryan Danielson victorious over Jackson and Drew McIntyre works for me as long as Best in the World does something to get their heat back from this loss. It also ties in Danielson's rivalry with McIntyre on ECW so that works as well. It's nice to see a more serious Kofi Kingston following his failed attempt to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Now he's out to wreck Alberto Del Rio for costing him the World Heavyweight Championship. I'm fine with Ziggler retaining his Intercontinental Championship over Mr. Kennedy, although it would've been cool to see Kennedy win the title. Pretty predictable to see Mickie James beat Layla to build up momentum for a championship opportunity against Michelle McCool. Kingston and Edge are men on a mission against their rivals in Del Rio and Jericho. Great tag team match to end the night as Edge looks to claim the World Heavyweight Championship from Jericho. The card for the Bash has been built up quite well thus far. Can't wait to see what happens next. Keep up the great work.

I loved RAW each and every second of it, and The Best In The World seem to be an elite stable but they need to trim the fat of that group because there is already too many people in it as it is, and I would suggest keeping the stable down to a certain number of people any way, at least 4 or 5 people maximum and they don't really need a valet/woman in the group anyway

Good opening segment with John Cena and Best in the World. Ah, back to the days when Ezekiel Jackson was actually being pushed in diaries. While him against Cena isn't going to be a technical classic, it is a fresh match and does its job of elevating Zeke to a bigger level. Looking forward to both tag team match as well. Great win for Sheamus over John Morrison in the opening contest. Liked the post-match stuff with DiBiase, more general build for their match at the Bash. Elijah Burke and Carlito, two forgotten talents. I always liked the both of them and I'm glad they're getting some air time on RAW, especially in the Intercontinental Championship picture. I imagine this would've been an amazing match. Bourne going over Hawkins was the right call. Definitely should set up a future WWE Tag Team Title opportunity for him and Justin Angel. Great first hour main event with John Cena and Bryan Danielson getting the win over Zeke and McIntyre of Best in the World. With Cena going against Wade on ECW tomorrow, I imagine the two ECW stars will play a role in there. Loved Kofi's promo, makes me sympathize with him. A match against Del Rio at the Bash sounds very solid. Good Intercontinental Championship defense for Dolph Ziggler against Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy seems like dead weight at this point, honestly. Alright, Edge/Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Bash sounds fantastic. I'm guessing Edge is face now? Mickie James over Layla is fine, I imagine she'll be meeting McCool for the Diva's Championship at the Bash. Finally, a great tag team main event with Edge and Kofi getting the DQ win. Edge Spearing Jericho and standing tall makes for a fine ending, especially since I don't see him capturing the title at the Bash. Overall, a great edition of RAW. So stoked to see this back.

Nice opening promo with Cena wanting some of Best in the World, especially Jackson. Good to see him get that match at The Bash and I like the other matches announced for Raw later on. Sheamus getting the victory over John Morrison is expected with him being a lot more relevant. I recall feeling uncertain about it and I am still uncertain on Sheamus vs Ted DiBiase, but I guess it does fit with both having significance in the year. Nice little interview with Burke and Carlito interrupting. Would like to see a whole scatter of guys after the Intercontinental title. Bourne beating Hawkins is good. Bourne is definitely more important to get a win. Good to see Cena and Danielson get the win in the first hour main event. Gives them some good momentum. Good little promo with Kofi and Alberto, and I like the match at The Bash. Ziggler retaining the title over Kennedy I like, as Ziggler needs to be built up more. Not sure what your direction with Kennedy... Kennedy is though. You know I love him. Jericho and Edge at The Bash is fine. I like Jericho's cockiness. Boobs. Lastly, a good main event with a nice ending to both the match and the show. A nice show, The Bash is forming nicely.

June 29th, 2010 | Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
We are welcomed to tonight's loaded edition of ECW by Joey Styles and Byron Saxton. They remind us that tonight we will see a special visit from the five time World Champion, John Cena as he will face Wade Barrett in our main event!
The Abraham Washington Show is set up as Aksana introduces the host himself, Abraham Washington! He comes down to the ring and insults the home crowd before talking about his jam packed show tonight. He brings tonight's guest, who is the ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson comes out to massive heat, followed closely by Drew McIntyre. Washington isn't his usual joking self with Jackson, as he is clearly intimidated by the massive ECW Champion. He asks the Champion easy questions about how badly he's going to beat John Cena and how dominant the Best in the World actually is. He is cut off by the theme of Bryan Danielson. Danielson rushes down to the ring and immediately tackles McIntyre to the outside. This allowed him to get some good shots in before Jackson made it outside. Danielson was ready and met him with stiff kicks to the leg. Eventually though, Jackson clubbed him which slowed down Danielson. John Cena rushed down suddenly and evened the score up until referees, security and even some Superstars had to come down and separate the scuffle. The announcers point out how hated the Best in the World have become in just over a week.
Commercial Break
Singles Match | Drew McIntyre vs. Val Venis | When we return from commercial, McIntyre was in the ring already but still feeling the effects of the brawl he was just a part of. Venis continues to show that despite his age, he is still a solid guy to have on the roster as he puts on good matches. It wasn't enough to overcome the surging McIntyre though as he put down Venis with the Scot Drop. | Winner: Drew McIntyre [5:44] ** |
We cut to a promo showing a man in a robe with a distinct beard. He begins to speak in an intellectual manner, saying that he's going to save the WWE Universe. He ends his lecture by saying “you're welcome.” Damien Sandow is coming soon to ECW.
Commercial Break
Ashley Valance is standing by with Wade Barrett, who is set for the biggest match in his young career tonight. She asks him for his thoughts on it. Barrett says that he is looking forward to it. He claims that we've all been witness to the “Barrett Barrage” and John Cena will just be a stepping stone. He promises that he will not get suspended tonight and that John Cena will never forget who Wade Barrett is.
Singles Match | John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder w/ Courtney | It's already widely known that Morrison is a very good performer, but Ryder has been making some huge strides on ECW and tonight may have been his breakout performance. These two put on a great match with multiple near falls. Ryder shocked everyone by kicking out of the Moonlight Drive. Shortly after, Ryder went for the Zack Attack, but Morrison reversed it into a small package and got the win. | Winner: John Morrison [9:58] *** |
Post match, Morrison offered his hand to Ryder as the crowd applauded the effort. Ryder gave him a brief handshake and Morrison stepped aside, allowing Ryder to do his triple fist pump for the crowd, who has really been surprisingly warming up to him lately.
Commercial Break[/i][/b] We return to see Zack Ryder and Courtney backstage talking with Primo. Primo congratulates him on his match and Ryder thanks him. They continue to have a conversation back and forth and when Primo leaves, Ryder looks surprised to see that he not only has a lot of fans, but also some friends backstage.
Bryan Danielson is now shown entering Theodore Long's office. He shouts that he wants his hands on Drew McIntyre in any way possible. Long tells him that he's got something in the works but he isn't going to make it official just yet. First, he wants to see what happens next week. Danielson asks what he's talking about. Long says that next week on ECW, Danielson will get an ECW Title shot in the main event! The crowd goes nuts and Danielson is pumped as he thanks Long.Commercial Break[/i][/b] Tag Team Match | Alex Riley & Paul Burchill w/ Katie Lea Burchill] vs. Television Champion Joe Hennig & Kaval | This was a fusion of two of ECW's hottest feuds and it made for a good tag team match. It featured some solid back and forth action and the heels cut the ring in half to work on Hennig. He tried to get the hot tag a few times but to no avail. Finally he nailed a huge clothesline and tagged Kaval. Kaval came in and hit a flurry of kicks and knee strikes. He rode that hot streak to victory after hitting Riley with the Warrior's Way. | Winners: Television Champion Joe Hennig & Kaval [6:33] **¼ |
John Cena is shown walking to the arena as he is gearing up for his first ever ECW main event!Commercial Break[/i][/b] Singles Match | John Cena vs. Wade Barrett |
[/color][/font][/center][/td][/tr] [tr][td] It was obvious from the start that this was no ordinary main event. Teddy Long sat at ringside and some members of the locker room watched from atop the ramp. Barrett really was not intimidated and went toe to toe with Cena. He held early control, but Cena began to make his usual heroic comeback. He connected with what the IWC call “the five moves of doom” and gears up for the FU. He sets up for it but Barrett breaks free and hits him with a huge forearm for a near fall. He lifts Cena for the Wasteland, but Cena breaks free. As he breaks, he accidentally takes out the referee. Cena locks in the STFU but there's no referee as Barrett is tapping! Ezekiel Jackson rushes to the ring and clocks Cena in the head with the ECW Title. Barrett covers Cena but he somehow manages to kick out. Barrett is in shock, but he lifts Cena and drops him with the Wasteland to get the shocking three count! [/td][/tr] [tr][td] Winner: Wade Barrett [14:27] ***¾ [/size][/b][/font][/center][/td][/tr][/table] The crowd is stunned that Barrett picked up the biggest win of his young career. Teddy Long looks furious at ringside as Barrett celebrates while the crowd boos loudly.© WWE 2010[/font][/center][/color]

John Cena showing up at ECW, I never thought that I would see the day that Cena would show up on ECW because I don't think Cena ever has, or not that I remember but it was great seeing him come to Danielson's rescue after Big Zeke and McIntyre were assaulting him
McIntyre beating Val Venis just goes to show us just how dominant he has been since joining The Best In The World stable
Damien Sandow is coming to ECW, I can't wait, the Intellectual Savior of the Masses is finally going to be upon us and maybe make ECW better
Barrett having the biggest match-up of his career here on ECW as he takes on John Cena in the main event, I for one cannot wait to see The Barrett Barrage unleashed
Morrison beating Ryder and then Ryder surprisingly not attacking Morrison and Morrison offering his hand and Ryder shakes it, hopefully Ryder is turning face and if he is, then I think what he should do next is dump Courtney before she turns on him
Danielson getting a shot at the ECW Championship next week against Big Zeke the ECW Champion, hopefully Danielson beats Zeke for the title and if and when he does, then the rest of The Best of the World stable turn on Big Zeke for losing
Joe Hennig and Kaval beating Alex Riley and Paul Burchill is great, Joe Hennig doesn't even need to be on ECW anymore in my opinion because he is showing me just why he is PERFECT just like his WWE Hall of Famer father the late Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig and that Joe is already destined for greatness being a 3rd generation superstar being the son of Mr. Perfect and the grandson of Larry "The Ax" Hennig while Kaval too is also destined for greatness too
And Barrett shocking the world by beating Cena in the main event of ECW but only because Big Zeke gets involved costing Cena the match, it is great because now it just makes Zeke and Cena's match at the Bash all that much more personal
Great ECW episode and I can't wait until Smackdown!!!!!!!!!

Alright, literally been anticipating this show for months. Hopefully, Barrett picks up the biggest win of his career tonight. Solid start with Ezekiel Jackson and Drew McIntyre on the Abraham Washington show. Liked Danielson's involvement, as well as Cena making the save. Obvious win for Drew McIntyre here. Why is Val Venis still employed in 2010? Damien Sandow this early? That's interesting. Good win for Morrison, needed it after failing at King of the Ring to regain the ECW Championship. Looks like Ryder is turning face. Curious to see how that affects his relationship with Courtney. Danielson getting a title shot next week? Wow, that's huge. Unique tag team match here. Good to see Joe Hennig and Kaval pick up the win. And lastly, incredible win for Wade Barrett. This victory does him major wonders. Seeing as how Jackson got involved, I can picture Cena costing him the title next week against Danielson. A good show.

Good start with the AW Show. I liked Cena's save, as it continues to build towards him and Ezekiel's meeting at The Bash. Dominate win for McIntyre. I don't see why Val is still here, besides just to job to the young guys. I'm interested in seen what Sandow can do on ECW. I like the fact that he is debuting here. I feel as though ECW is a good fit for him. Although I think Cena is going to win, having Barrett win their match would be phenomenal for him. Liked the match between Morrison and Ryder. It really continued the slow Ryder face turn. I like the fact that Danielson is getting a title shot, but I really hope he doesn't win it. A decent tag match mixing and matching the feuds. I really would like to see more out of Burchill. I think he is a great performer and can really be a great top-level guy. YES! Glad to see Barrett get the win. It really helps his push. With Ezekiel costing Cena, though I see Cena costing Ezekiel his title next week. It might be better for Ezekiel to drop the belt, but I don't like how Danielson just got it out-of-the-blue on regular TV. A really good show. I'm still really digging the Best in the World.

ECW: - Okay so straight up it's been a while since I've read any of this, so excuse me if I'm a little bit rusty on anything. - Decent enough AW show to kick things off, nice to see Danielson making the run in despite the uneven odds. It's weird to see Cena on ECW, let alone feuding with the champion. Though if it helps make ECW more prominent then I'm all for it. - Venis still employed in 2010? That's weird bro. Still, obvious win for McIntyre, gets him over well enough. - Sandow already? I'm a bit mixed on this. He wasn't even using this gimmick down in FCW at this point but still, Sandow would definitely have fit in with ECW at this time. - I could see Morrison and Ryder putting on a solid match, though it's sad to see that even here Morrison is being criminally underused. The problem with Ryder is that there's just nowhere for him to go, as fun as he is he'll always be a midcarder at best with this gimmick. - It's cool to see Danielson getting a title shot. I mean he's not going to win, that would make Jackson's match with Cena completely pointless, but hey, cool none the less. - I was a pretty big Burchill fan back in the day, so it's great to see him and Katie Lea getting used. I didn't really see Burchill winning this one sadly, but I will say Hennig and Kaval is one team I'd have loved to have seen in WWE. - Barrett going over is huge for him, and for ECW as a whole really. Obviously in the real WWE this would never have happened, but hell I'm glad it did. Personally I'm hoping that Barrett gets the ECW Championship because I don't really see Ezekial as someone worth building around. - A good show as a whole, a few things I'm still not sure about but it's great to see this back considering the history it's got behind it. Can't wait for more.

A good opening with the Abraham Washington Show featuring Best in the World teammates, ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson and Drew McIntyre. It was great to see Bryan Danielson and John Cena get involved by attacking them. No surprise with McIntyre defeating Val Venis. It seems that all Venis is good for at this point is putting guys over. Interesting to see Damien Sandow debut this early, but it should fun to see. Sandow seems like an excellent heel for ECW. Great match with John Morrison and Zack Ryder. I had doubts at first but I'm enjoying Morrison on ECW again. Here, he can be built up more than he could on RAW or SmackDown right now. In regards to the match, good call to have Morrison win, but not without a fight from Ryder. Great aftermath as well with the handshake and face turn for Ryder. Danielson gets a title shot against Jackson next week. It would be interesting if he does win due to Jackson's feud with Cena. Excellent tag team match featuring the ECW midcard. Alex Riley, Paul Burchill, Kaval and Joe Hennig are all exceptional talents and it could also lead to more contention for Hennig's Television Championship. Wow, what an upset! Great call to have Barrett go over Cena in the main event. It certainly builds up Barrett and adds more fuel to the fire of the Cena/Jackson feud. Awesome show!

The Bash Predictions
For the WWE Championship, Six Pack Challenge, Punk defending his WWE Championship against Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Shelton Benjamin, The Big Show and Jeff Hardy, I already know who I am picking to walk out as WWE Champion and my pick is The Viper Randy Orton to become a 7-time WWE Champion in 2010 but if it was a Six-Pack Challenge Elimination Match for the title, then I would say Orton pins Hardy last eliminating him to become champion, but since it is a regular Six-Pack Challenge, Orton will slither his way to victory by hopefully punting someone's skull off their shoulders stealing the victory, so I say he will punt Jeff Hardy in the skull to become WWE Champion
For the World Heavyweight Championship, the Best in the World stable leader Chris Jericho defending his title against The Rated R Superstar Edge, Edge fresh off his face turn as of late, he has been riding the momentum train for a while now but Jericho has been riding a momentum train too ever since starting his own group, so this one is tough to call, if The Best In The World don't get involved in this match, then I hope Edge wins to become a 10-time World Heavyweight Champion in 2010, but I just don't see it happening, I see Jericho getting himself intentionally counted out or DQ'ed in order to save his title, or he cheats to win
Ezekiel Jackson vs John Cena, easy, Cena wins which then will set up Ezekiel Jackson to be kicked out of The Best In The World stable seeing as how he has failed the group, so then that way they trim the fat
Del Rio facing off against Kofi, Del Rio is winning, that part is obvious
And as for Sheamus facing off against DiBiase, I hope Sheamus wins, so then that way it begins Sheamus' mega push towards becoming World Heavyweight Champion, the first ever Irish born World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history
Where are other stars like Triple H, Batista, Christian?

July 2nd, 2010 | Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
The announce team of Matt Striker and Todd Grisham introduce us to tonight's edition of Friday Night Smackdown! They remind us of last week's huge announcement that CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship at The Bash in a Six Pack Challenge!
Speaking of the Six Pack Challenge, the Big Show walks to the ring to open the broadcast. He grabs a microphone and says that he is looking forward to The Bash more than any Pay-Per-View in recent memory. It's unfortunate that he has to share his first title shot in recent memory with four other challengers but he'll take what he can get and will win his first WWE Title in years. He is cut off by Jeff Hardy surprisingly, who gets in the ring with Show. He tells Show that while he is happy to see him get a title shot, he promises to be the one walking out of St. Louis with the WWE Title. He has grown to hate CM Punk and there isn't much that he hates. He wants nothing more than to be the one to take the belt from him. “Excuse Me!” is heard as Vickie Guerrero walks to the stage. She says that she is sick and tired of both Jeff Hardy and the Big Show. According to her, they are the worst part of Smackdown. Jeff, Show and Vickie exchange insults for a few until Vickie becomes furious. She shouts that this all must end as soon as possible. She decides that at The Bash, if Jeff Hardy loses he will have to leave Smackdown and the same goes for Big Show. The crowd is stunned at this announcement. Vickie claims that either she will rid herself of one or both of them after the Bash. She also announces that tonight's main event will pit Show & Hardy against Randy Orton and the WWE Champion CM Punk!
Commercial Break
We return to see CM Punk arrive with the rest of the Straight Edge Society. Josh Matthews tells him of the main event tonight and the stipulation concerning Jeff Hardy and the Big Show at The Bash. Punk smirks at this and says tonight is off to a great start.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match | United States Champion Jack Swagger w/ William Regal vs. Tyler Black | We got our weekly taste of the “Best in the World” tonight in this non-title contest. Black is still trying to get his United States Title back and a win here would certainly catapult him back into contention. This was a back and forth contest with a decent amount of near falls and Black seemed to have the win wrapped up when he hooked Swagger for God's Last Gift. Regal leaped into the ring and punched Black with brass knuckles. | Winner via Disqualification: Tyler Black [10:11] ***½ |
Swagger and Regal left up the ramp as Black began to slowly get up. He was furious that William Regal prevented him from getting a pin fall victory on the United States Champion.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match | Kelly Kelly vs. Women's Champion Serena Mancini | Mancini continues to be the dominating presence in the Divas division since her debut last November as she ran pretty roughshod over Kelly tonight. Kelly did get in some offense, but was put down by the Mancini Code. | Winner: Women's Champion Serena Mancini [3:00] *¾ |
After the match Mancini grabbed a microphone and stated that just like her savior, CM Punk, she has run out of competition now that she's on top of the Divas division. She claims that she will be the Champion for a long time and that nobody can stop her.
We now cut to Cody Rhodes, who is in the back getting interviewed by Josh Matthews. Matthews asks Cody who it feels to have to his brother last week. Cody says that it was an absolute injustice and complete fluke that he lost. According to him, his brother is a disgrace to the Rhodes name and he will shame him when they get in the ring together again.
Commercial Break
We return to see Stephanie McMahon walking down the hallway looking stressed. She enters the Divas locker room and finds April Lee. Lee asks if she's okay and Stephanie says that she's just stressed about the whole Vickie/Show/Hardy situation but that's not why she's here. She heard Serena Mancini's claims after the match just now and has decided that next week on Smackdown, Lee will go one on one with her former mentor Gail Kim and the winner will face Mancini at The Bash! Lee thanks her before she leaves.
Singles Match | Rey Mysterio vs. Shelton Benjamin | A great sportsman like first hour main event to tonight's Smackdown. As a preview for the upcoming Six Pack Challenge, this was a great match with a lot of fast paced action. The two former World Champions went all out and stole the show tonight. In the end, Rey went for the 619, but Benjamin dodged it. Rey then springboarded for the West Coast Pop but Shelton caught him with a huge mid-air Paydirt! | Winner: Shelton Benjamin [13:56] **** |
Post match, Shelton helped Rey up and shook his hand before the cameras caught Stephanie and Vickie in their office. Stephanie is furious with Vickie but has come up with a counter to her stipulation. For example if Jeff Hardy wins, both he and the Big Show get to stay and vice versa. Also, if either man wins, Vickie is out as GM! Vickie is now the one who is livid as we heard to commercial.
Commercial Break
The crowd cheers loudly as we are joined by Captain Charisma when we return. He gets in the ring and says that he didn't get a chance to speak last week but he wanted to come out and discuss something with the WWE Universe. He apologizes to them for not winning the King of the Ring. He knows that they were pulling for him and he let them down. He calls the King of the Ring just another in a tough line of him falling just short. He returned at the Royal Rumble and focused on eliminating Edge instead of winning, then he lost in the Elimination Chamber and to his brother at WrestleMania. His next shot came in the Fatal Four Way Ladder Match at Extreme Rules and then the King of the Ring itself. Always coming extremely close and always falling just short. He is cut off by the theme of the 2010 King of the Ring. The Miz walks down the ring and berates Christian, calling him a loser and a waste of a roster spot. He tells Christian that he should have just stayed down in Orlando and never returned to the WWE. Christian nails Miz and they get into a fist fight which goes back and forth until Christian tosses him to the outside. Christian picks up the microphone and challenges Miz to a match at The Bash. Miz grabs his microphone and agrees, saying he will be happy to beat Christian at consecutive Pay-Per-Views.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Tag Team Match | WWE World Tag Team Champions The Dudebusters w/ Trent Barreta vs. The Jung Dragons w/ Jamie Noble | This match stemmed from last week when these teams were forced to pair up in an eight man tag and did not get along. The Jung Dragons continue to be a fast paced and exciting team but it wasn't enough to put them over the reigning Champions. Despite a valiant effort, Hawkins got the win for his team by nailing a huge top rope elbow drop. | Winners: WWE World Tag Team Champions The Dudebusters [9:17] **½ |
After the match The Dudebusters began an assault on the Jung Dragons, including Noble. Paul London and Brian Kendrick rushed down to the ring to make the save and forced the Champions to retreat. The announcers mention how the belts are in jeopardy with London and Kendrick on Smackdown and the Airbourne Angels on Raw both steamrolling towards shots.
Commercial Break
Jeff Hardy is shown entering Big Show's locker room and both men look stressed. They discuss the new stakes of the Six Pack Challenge and how they not only both want to stay on Smackdown but they would both love to be rid of Vickie Guerrero. That seems to help motivate them for tonight's main event.
Singles Match | Cody Rhodes vs. R-Truth | Goldust was on commentary providing some very different and entertaining color. Rhodes continues his streak of consistently good matches by bringing out the best in the slumping R-Truth. They put on a good contest with some solid spots but the end result was never in doubt as Rhodes put Truth away with a springboard kick that he calls the “Beautiful Disaster.” | Winner: Cody Rhodes [6:52] **¾ |
Rhodes goes up to his brother and promptly slaps him across the face. Goldust goes to retaliate but Cody backs up and retaliates up the ramp as Goldust stares him down.
Commercial Break
Tag Team Match | Big Show & Jeff Hardy vs. WWE Champion CM Punk & Randy Orton w/ The Straight Edge Society | As one would expect, this match followed the basic tag formula that we've all come to love and expect. After starting off as an even match, the heels cut the ring in half and worked over Jeff. He repeatedly failed to make the tag to Show, but once he did, Show cleaned house. He worked over both Punk and Orton and looked dominant. Drew Gallows attempted to intervene but was met with a huge WMD from Show, who then turned and leveled Punk with the same thing before picking up the victory for his team. | Winners: Big Show & Jeff Hardy [12:46] *** |
The Big Show has just pinned the WWE Champion and picks up some huge momentum heading into The Bash. Orton rushes as him and nails him with a low blow. Orton and Hardy then get in a fist fight that escalates when Shelton Benjamin and Rey Mysterio join the fray giving us a real preview to the Six Pack Challenge. The brawl is going on as CM Punk is still laid out from the WMD. Show gets up and ends up cleaning house, hitting chokeslams and WMDs all around. When he's done he poses in the ring as Punk, who is know just regaining consciousness, regroups with the SES and clutches the WWE Title.

Smackdown Review
I loved the way you opened up Smackdown with Big Show but what I wasn't counting on was Jeff Hardy interrupting him but then Vickie coming out and making the stipulation that if Show and or Jeff Hardy do not win the WWE Championship at The Bash, they both have to leave Smackdown, so therefore for Big Show and Jeff Hardy the match for them is a must win, one wins the other is gone but if the other wins, the other one is gone
Main event is Punk & Orton vs Show and Hardy, I can't wait
Tyler Black beats Swagger, hopefully he ends up going for that WWE United States Championship again but to really up the stakes for the WWE United States Championship, I would love to see him compete for the title in a Ladder Match and Regal getting involved in the match was to be expected
Serena is probably hands down the most dominant WWE Women's Champion in recent memory and no one can beat her right now, not Kelly Kelly, not Eve, not Beth, no one
Loved Cody's promo that he cut on his brother Goldust, I want to see these brothers go at it again
Stephanie needs to take control of Smackdown, I mean she is a McMahon after all, why can't Stephanie just fire Vickie, her family owns the company
Glad Stephanie reversed Vickie's decision and made the stipulations that if Jeff Hardy wins the title, he and Big Show stay but that if either man wins the title, Vickie Guerrero is gone as GM, I really hope Vickie is gone
Rey and Shelton's match if anything was Match of the Night
Christian vs The Miz at The Bash, I hope Christian wins
Dudebusters beat The Jung Dragons, I love it
Rhodes beat R-Truth and then Rhodes slapping his brother Goldust after the match was great, it really heats up this brotherly rivalry and The American Dream Dusty Rhodes needs to be involved in this feud
Show & Hardy beating Punk and Orton in the main event, it was great, but I was hoping to see Orton kick someone's head off their shoulders punting them in the skull, with The Viper becoming more venomous than he ever has been

Interesting call to have two faces, Hardy and Show, open SmackDown with a promo. Whoa, they both have to win the WWE Championship at the Bash to remain on SmackDown? That's pretty huge, considering I can't see either of them capturing the title. Can see one of them turning heel, most likely Show, and going into a feud to reclaim their jobs. Great opening contest with Tyler Black getting a DQ victory over Jack Swagger, courtesy of William Regal. Perhaps a championship match at the Bash could be in store. Damn, it's been ages since I've seen Serena mentioned in a diary. No competition for her? Probably, but I am curious to see who steps up to challenge her for the Women's Championship. Oh, either April or Gail then. Being someone who actually gives a damn about the Diva's division, I can't wait to see who gets the title shot at the Bash, as both possible match ups sound great. Fantastic first hour main event with Rey Mysterio and Shelton Benjamin. I'm a bit worried about Benjamin as a face, though. Seems like he'll just float around the upper mid car/main event scene from the Bash on. Oh sh*t! Vickie's out if either Show or Hardy win? It's just too bad neither will. Solid segment with Miz and Christian, aside from the TNA reference. Looking forward to their match at the Bash, which I would assume Miz wins to build momentum heading into SummerSlam. Nice win for the Dudebusters. I love them as the WWE Tag Team Championships, and the thought of them against Londrick and the Airbourne Angels is absolutely epic. My boy Cody with the win! Push him to the moon and don't stop there. Enjoying this feud with Goldust, too. Lastly, great main event with Jeff Hardy and the Big Show getting the victory. Show looked like an absolute beast here. I don't mind it, considering he most likely won't become WWE Champion at the Bash. Overall, a good edition of SmackDown. The first week into your return was definitely an enjoyable one.

Definitely see Orton walking out the WWE Champion, with Vickie keeping her job as assistant Smackdown General Manager but Vickie I can definitely see her getting fired as assistant GM because Stephanie will bend the rules, Stephanie is a McMahon for crying out loud, she is the boss' daughter so she can throw her weight around if she wants to meaning she has more power than Vickie does because Vickie is not a McMahon and Stephanie is, so she can fire Vickie even without probable cause too and run this show on her own because Stephanie makes a way better Smackdown General Manager than Vickie any day of the week, because Stephanie at least she is a fair General Manager

Pretty interesting opening to SmackDown this week with Jeff Hardy, the Big Show and Vickie Guerrero. Same with the stipulation Guerrero placed on their match at the Bash. I don't know what's going to happen with that, but I can't wait to find out. A great match-up between United States Champion Jack Swagger and former champion Tyler Black. Once again, Best in the World picks up another victory thanks to William Regal. I'm loving Serena Mancini's reign as Women's Champion. She certainly comes across as one tough chick. But it looks like she might have met her match in April Lee...if she wins against Gail Kim to earn a championship match against Mancini. Great friendly match-up with Rey Mysterio and Shelton Benjamin. I can't say it enough, but I'm thrilled how you made Benjamin into a main-eventer. Looks like Stephanie McMahon has added a stipulation of her own to the WWE Championship Six-Pack Challenge match at the Bash. If either Hardy or Show win, they both get to stay and Guerrero is out as GM. I can't help but smell a screwjob to come out of this. It should be interesting when the match takes place. Great promo from Christian. It certainly seems like he keeps coming close to that WWE/World Heavyweight Championship gold, only for it to slip from his fingers. But I can't help but think he'll get his chance at the top eventually. But until then, he has to deal with King Miz. Sounds like the makings of a great rivalry. The Dudebusters continue to show why they're the top team in WWE with a victory over the Jung Dragons. Nice to have Londrick come to the ring to make the save. Like I said in a previous post, it looks like the Dudebusters have to deal with both Londrick and the Airbourne Angels now. A feud involving all three teams would be epic. Maybe it could lead to a TLC match somewhere down the road. But that's just me. Cody Rhodes continues to show why he's the future with a victory over R-Truth. With that slap to his brother, Goldust, it seems things are not over with them. Finally, we have the main event featuring four of the six competitors for the WWE Championship Six-Pack Challenge at the Bash. Good way to end the show, especially with an all-out brawl featuring Mysterio and Benjamin as well. Having Show stand tall at the end was a great way to close, showing that he's a beast and won't be taken lightly. Another great show!

Damn those graphics are old! But it's good to see them in use, Kev. I'll be reading on, hoping you are back with this now. Easily the best WWE diary to grace the board.

July 5th, 2010 | Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee
- Our esteemed commentary team of Jerry “The King” Lawler and Michael Cole welcome us to Nashville and tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw! They hype up tonight's card which will feature Elijah Burke taking on Carlito in a number one contender's match for the Intercontinental Championship as well as a WWE Tag Team Championship match!
- They are cut off by the theme of our World Heavyweight Champion as Chris Jericho struts down to ringside flanked by the “Best in the World.” They get in the ring and Jericho grabs a microphone. He begins by talking about how Edge doesn't deserve another shot at his World Championship. He took the belt from him at King of the Ring and he got his rematch two weeks ago, and in Jericho's mind, he should be done for good. He feels like he deserves the night off at The Bash, but JBL decided against that. Jericho claims that maybe JBL is jealous because he himself is a true wrestling god. Regardless of why it happened, he promises to end Edge once and for all. Alberto Del Rio takes the microphone and states that tonight they are going to show everyone that they are truly the “Best in the World”. He challenges Edge to a match tonight to show him a sample of what's coming at The Bash. He tells Kofi Kingston to make sure he's watching closely. Jack Swagger now takes the microphone and begins to talk up the ECW Champion, Ezekiel Jackson. He says that himself and Ezekiel are the two most dominant ECW Champions of all time and John Cena will find out why first hand. Swagger makes the challenge to Cena and says that tonight the entire world will understand that nobody is better than the men and woman standing in the ring right now.
Commercial Break
Number One Contender's Match Carlito vs. Elijah Burke
- As one would expect, our Intercontinental Champion, Dolph Ziggler, was on commentary during the match and he put down both of his potential challengers. The match itself was a solid back and forth contest with multiple near falls. Carlito nearly had a win after hitting the BackStabber but Burke got his foot on the ropes. Carlito argued with the referee but got hit with the Elijah Experience which ended the contest.
Winner: Elijah Burke [8:20] **½
- We cut to the back where John Cena is shown arriving at the arena, when Josh Matthews rushing up to him, advising him of the challenge laid down by the United States Champion, Jack Swagger. Cena smiles at this and says he's looking forward to the match.
Commercial Break
- Just like we saw moments ago, Edge is shown arriving to the arena and is told of the challenge laid down by the Best in the World tonight. Edge smiles and is clearly excited to go one on one with Alberto Del Rio. As he continues to walk, he is stopped by Kofi Kingston. Kofi tells him that he knows they've had their differences in the past but they made great partners last week and he would love for him to beat Del Rio's ass. Edge promises to do so before they part ways.
Divas Tag Team Match Team LayCool vs. Mickie James & Tiffany
- This was your standard divas tag match as it was pretty short and simple. James is still working towards getting herself a Divas Title shot and McCool seemed to want no part of her. In the end, McCool picked up the win for her team by hitting Tiffany with the Faith Breaker.
Winners: Team LayCool [4:01] [*½]
- After the match, LayCool beat down on both of their opponents. McCool ends the assault by nailing James with a huge big boot to the face. She then grabbed a microphone and stated that the kick we just saw has done the impossible and somehow made Mickie James even uglier.
Commercial Break
- As we return, we are joined by Ted Dibiase Jr. He gets in the ring and begins to talk about revenge. He says that after having some issues with The Undertaker a few months back, he hired Sheamus to do his dirty work for him. He admits that he should've manned up and faced his problems by himself, but hindsight is 20/20. He then says that Sheamus took the money and put him on the shelf, before taking out The Undertaker for his own personal gain. Dibiase says that Sheamus has never faced someone who wanted revenge like this and he will get his at The Bash. He now goes to move onto a happier subject, which is the real reason he came out here tonight. He announces that next week on Raw his Hall of Fame father, the “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase will be in attendance as a guest host. The crowd cheers at that but it turns to boos as Sheamus' theme hits. The “Celtic Warrior” comes down and begins to berate both Ted Dibiase Jr. and his dad. He says that his father doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, he never won the big one and all he contributed to the WWE was bringing in The Undertaker, who Sheamus coincidentally, just took out. Once Sheamus gets in the ring however, Ted Dibiase nails him and the two begin to rumble. Unlike last week though, Dibiase picks up the upper hand by hitting a huge clothesline and knocking Sheamus to the outside. The big man retreats as Dibiase hypes up the crowd.
Commercial Break
Non-Title Match United States Champion Jack Swagger w/ William Regal vs. John Cena
- These two turned in a great first time ever match. It had a lot of near falls and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. At one point, Regal tripped up Cena and got ejected by the referee. Regal refused to leave when Tyler Black rushed down and fought him to the back. Black was clearly still upset about Regal costing him his match last week. After some more hard hitting action, Cena put the United States Champion down with the FU.
Winner: John Cena [11:27] ***½
[/color] Commercial Break[/li][li] The “Best in the World” is shown backstage and Chris Jericho looks a bit stressed. He is upset that John Cena keeps doing everything in his power to try and sabotage them. Ezekiel Jackson steps up and says that he can try all he wants, but at The Bash, he guarantees that he will take out John Cena once and for all. Jericho likes the confidence in the ECW Champion and cools off somewhat.WWE World Tag Team Championship The Airbourne Angels vs. The Dudebusters [c] w/ Curt Hawkins[/u] [/li][li]The Angels have been on a role lately and they looked to roll right into the Tag Team Titles tonight. They seemed well on their way to securing another victory after hitting some crisp double team moves and some of their signature high flying moves. Unfortunately, some well timed Hawkins interference knocked Angel off the top rope. That allowed Barreta and Croft to hit The Dudebuster and pick up the win. Winners and STILL WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Dudebusters [8:06] **½[/li][li] The announcers put over how close the Airbourne Angels came to winning their first Tag Team Championship, but the Freebird rule and having a third member around helped the Champs stay on top.Commercial Break[/li][li] Our esteemed General Manager John “Bradshaw” Layfield is now shown in his office when Kofi Kingston enters. JBL says that he called Kofi into the office to inform him that he will be in a huge main event next week on Raw. In a big six man tag team match, the “Best in the World” of World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, ECW Champion Ezekiel Jackson and Alberto Del Rio will take on Kingston, John Cena and Edge! The crowd erupts at this announcement and Kofi thanks JBL before heading out.Singles Match Matt Hardy vs. Ted Dibiase Jr.[/li][li]Dibiase Jr. looked like he was still riding high off of his encounter with Sheamus earlier because he was on fire throughout this contest. Matt got in his fair share of offense and came close to winning once, but Dibiase managed to put him away with Dream Street. Winner: Ted Dibiase Jr. [5:28] **[/color] [/li][li] The cameras catch Edge getting ready for the main event. The “Rated R Superstar” goes one on one with the “Mexican Aristocrat” Alberto Del Rio, up next!Commercial BreakSingles Match Alberto Del Rio w/ Gail Kim & World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Edge[/color] [/li][li]In his short time on the roster, Alberto Del Rio has continued to show that he can hang with the main event level players in the WWE and tonight was no different. He and Edge worked extremely well together. He focused on Edge's arm throughout the match, clearly looking for a chance to lock in his rolling armbar. He finally locked it in, but Edge managed to grasp the ropes. Del Rio was clearly getting furious, and all it took was a split second before Edge connected with a Spear and got the victory. Winner: Edge [13:22] ***½[/li][li] Instantly after the match, Chris Jericho entered the ring and put the boots to Edge. Edge fought back and got the upper hand until Gail Kim hit him with a low blow. Del Rio then clocked Edge with the World Title and Jericho locked him in the Walls of Jericho. The cameras cut to the back where Kofi Kingston and John Cena are shown laid out with Ezekiel Jackson, William Regal, Jack Swagger and Drew McIntyre standing over them.[/li][/ul] © WWE 2010[/font][/center]
