from ToyMania.com1. Will the DC sculpts be used in your WWE line?
Answer: It is possible that WWE and DCUC will share some parts, but as the Horsemen will not be involved in the WWE line (at this time) it is hard to answer directly. WWE is still quite a while away with the first Mattel product scheduled for Jan. 2010.www.toymania.com/news/messages/10795.shtml

Does anyone have pics of some DC sculpts, I know nothing of Mattel They aren't bad. The issue is they are nothing like Jakks and will not be in scale. The figures are more toned and defined. There is also a limited number of parts to use. They could still turnout well made and a good figure, as it will have more playability than an RA figure.........but forget them being used in your current collections. This will require a complete start over.

Yeah that is the thing that gets me. Though I probably won't be buying figures anymore in 2010.

WWE's figs cant be anymore defined than they are and we all know how tones have gone previously. Mattel did promise scale though so it throws it out in the window. Who knows, its all speculation right now.

The DCUC figures are nice but suffer from bad paint jobs and terrible hip joints. I've had two DC figures that had their right leg break because the leg peg was glued. Though the best thing about Mattel is they have a great customer service. If your not able to return it to the store, just called them about the problem and they either send you a replacement or if not in stock, they'll send you a coupon for mattel products. I'm kind of interested to see how they'll do the divas though.

This was my biggest concern about the line, repainting Superman/Batman bodies and slapping a new head on them. Looks like I will not be buying WWE figures post-Jakks.

The only thing I am worried about are the paint apps. I have passed on many of the DCSH and DCUC figures because of very bad paint apps. I've seen paint running and bleeding over as well as chipping logos.
As for the parts being easily broken, I haven't had that problem but the joints become loose easily. A frind of mine has had a few legs snap off and I have seen a few figures MOC in stores that have had the head fall off during shipping, but I don't think it will be a major problem.

Something tells me Mattel isn't in a hurry to make Diva figures. There will be main eventers and repaints of Cena and HHH, but Divas are a low priority.

Here's a question, do you think Mattel will go chase variant happy with the WWE figures like they have with the DCU figures? Also, Jakks made planty of IE and store exclusives. Mattel just did a Wal-Mart exclusive series of DCU figures (which kinda sucked), but they sell the He-Man figures on their own site, do you think Mattel will have fewer exclusives?

I'm very concerned about how the WWE figures will turn out, I can't see them looking very good. I don't see why WWE has to not only switch their provider of video games, but their provider of figures too, goddamnit... I keep thinking that the figures will turn out something like this:
