The statue looks like the egpytian god anubis Think you could be right and looking at a picture of anubis on wiki anubis is holding a symbol like one on the necklace the dead guy was wearing. But also a pic of the egpytion god taweret the head from behind looks more like her with hat or whatever on top of the head and Consequently, Taweret became seen, very early in Egyptian history, as a deity of protection in pregnancy and childbirth.

Yeh, everything I've read points to that - the statue is of a god which happens to be the god of something pregnancy related.

I'd go with Taweret, I think Anubis would be a little on the nose. If it is Anubis then I'd say the black smoke is connected to the statue in some way.

I want to know who set the rules between Ben and Whitmore, such as they are not allowed to kell each other or kill each others daughters (which Whitmore broke)

Sorry, I have never seen it written before, I tend to avoid the written previews and spoiler sites.
Also, I am assuming Whidmore sent that black guy to Locke when he was in hospital after he was chucked out the window. If he did this, why did he not go everywhere Locke goes (up to flight 815), knowing that he would eventually go on to the island

The episode titles are ing epic, episode 13 - Some like it Hoth. I've been (re-)watching Season 3 and just begun Season 4(nearly finished) and thought how amazing it would be to see some kind of reunion between Charlie and Claire, I miss both of 'em .
