The scene opens to a quick glimpse of the morning sky. An excruciating glare blind sides us we ponder as to where we could possibly be. Barely able to see, we manage to sneak a glance, only to realize that it is only the sun shining boldly before us. Each second, the sun harshly begins to beat upon sending us into slight exhaustion. Minutes go by, each moment seeming like eternity. Drips of sweat profusely slides down our dry skin, as we find ourselves simply standing in a puddle of our own perspiration. Within spilt second a single, swift wind passes through the sky, yet it is not nearly enough to calm us from our heat exhaustion. Our eyes slowly start to roll to the back of our head, the vision of black gradually coming before us. It is uncertain as to where we are, nor is there even the minimal clue to be seen by the human eye. Suddenly, the unbearable heat is shortly forgotten as sharp pricks are felt stabbing every inch of our body. Scratch after scratch, slashing our skin, yet throughout it all, we are still unaware as to what is going on. A brief cry for help tries to escape from our mouth, yet nothing will come out. In a matter of moments, it seems as if this whole twist of fate has become into an action of slow motion. Surprisingly, we are falling, just simply slowly falling before you. Just waiting to hit the ground. The sun remains beating uncontrollably on our skin, literally peeling the flesh off our body. In just a split second, we crash into the floor sending a loud thud echoing throughout the entire area. Suddenly, a cool sensation can be felt tingling every inch of us. Our vision returns, as a great sigh of relief goes through our mind. With our sight restored, and the sun no longer beating on us, we mysteriously find ourselves in a small puddle of water into the middle of a grass field. We are simply stranded in the middle of nowhere, in the center of a grass field. Grass remains to be 4 feet high, literally looking like a jungle. Wandering around this unusual sight, anxiety begins to build, as we are clueless as to where we remain. Suddenly, loud crunches are heard scattering around the field, each second coming closer and closer. The sun commences to inflict excessive heat above us, but our main focus remains to be set on the mysterious noise within our surrounding. As the seconds tick down, we find ourselves getting that much closer to whoever lies within this region. In another twist of fate, a strong gust of wind blows uncontrollably as it completely separates the grass field into two. Walking down the separated lane walks an individual sporting a white t-shirt, and baggy black jeans. Black shades cover his eyes, but we already know who it is. The now former WFWF International Champion, “The Man of the Hour” Josh.
At Fully Charged, “The Man of the Hour” had only one task in mind. And that was indeed becoming the man of the hour. He was faced with two difficult tasks as for the first time in his career he had not one, but two matches in the same PPV. Each with a prize at stake. “The Man of the Hour” had the chance to not only win the WFWF New Breed Tournament, but also had a chance later that night to capture the WFWF International Title Gold, for the first time in his career. In possibly an upset in the eyes of many, Trent Draven defeated Josh in the Finals of the Tournament, taking the crown. Josh got off to an upsetting start to the night, and was barely capable of even competing for the International Title, especially against Saku and Tha CBT. In a shocker, Josh overcame the odds winning the match and the International Championship. Of course, the night couldn’t go on without controversy. During the match, both Josh and Saku defeated Tha CBT at the same time creating an unclear winner for the match. Though confused, the decision was ruled that both “The Man of the Hour” Josh and Saku would be co-owners of the same championship. It seemed as if he would be on top of the world, winning his second singles title. In possibly a huge shocker, on Code Red, his first show as champ. Josh went to the board and resigned his Championship Title, and made known that he was leaving WFWF until further notice. Although “The Man of the Hour” Josh has made known of his departure. He has agreed to finish any out going matches before his removal off the WFWF Roster. Which brings us the present time, as for the first time, the former WFWF International Champion will make his debut at a WFWF House Show. However, this House Show is a first time for everything as Josh will be competing against possibly one of the biggest men to ever step foot in a WFWF ring. He was inducted in the WFWF Hall of Fame at Superbrawl III. And at Fully Charged, he made history into the record books winning the WFWF Tag Team Titles, to become the first ever Grand Slam Owner in WFWF history. Despite being in WFWF for many months, these two men has yet to ever step foot into a WFWF ring. It’s a long craved match to many, and fortunately, it will happen at House Show 3, the last match until further notice as far as “The Man of the Hour” is concerned. And with ZMaster rumored to leave soon, this may be the first and only time we will ever get to see this ultimate encounter. One thing is certain though, at WFWF House Show 3, everyone is set for a match for the ages.
Josh: It’s hard for me to believe that I have been here for 16 months. For 16 longs months I have desperately fought my way, and climbed my way to where I am today. Month after month, something I gave up so much for, something I dedicated everything I had for was all simply a joke. It was all a lie, I, “The Man of the Hour”, was living a lie. I can’t help but ask myself, who is to put to blame? I tried so hard just to make an impact, trying helplessly to become the main spotlight, yet, my time seemed as if it were always getting delayed. I was never way over my head; I was just trying to live a reality I thought had existed. Or at least, I was hoping it did. It took me 16 months, 16 damn months to get a single title shot at International Gold. Making impact after impact, yet simply being forgotten. It wasn’t as if I had been lost in the shuffle. I was there; everyone knew I was there. I was just ignored. The International Title was not supposed to be mine at Fully Charged. More importantly… I was not supposed to be fighting for the WFWF International Championship at Fully Charged.
Josh continues to walk closer towards us, each second just step by step, taking all the time in the world. The wind continues to blow harshly, as grass bits fly wildly within the air. The sky has lost its luster, slowly becoming darker as the minutes past by. Throughout it all, “The Man of the Hour” remains to walk casually, as if he doesn’t have a single care in the world.
Josh: It was somewhere I didn’t belong. I’m past that, I was always was. And I refuse to spend the next few months of my career chasing something what shouldn’t be mine. Refuse to remain somewhere I’m not supposed to be. Simply refuse. Now, now I’m forced to leave this company that gave me nothing but trouble. Let them feel the effects of having possibly their biggest prospect today, not backstage as the fans wait anxiously to see him. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Why must you people treat me as if I’m worth nothing more than a lack luster piece of trash? As if I don’t deserve anything beyond where I am today. I have done nothing more but impress. Nothing more. Screw it all. Just screw it all. Screw the roster, screw the International Gold, and just screw me chasing after something that is worthless to a man of my caliber. But I will be back, oh I sure as hell will be back in WFWF. It’s just a matter of when the right time is. That’s what it’s all about is it not? Time? And when I make my return, I will head straight to what is mine. No time for takings things slow, no time in ‘climbing this WFWF ladder’ to the top. None of that garbage. I know where I’m supposed to be. I know what his mine. Come my return, there is no more time for mid-card. There is no more time for chasing the WFWF International Championship. I’m gunning for World Gold, and I will get it. Guaranteed. And with Superbrawl IV just nearing around the corner, who knows what I have in store.
The wind settles down as the grassland goes back to its previous state. Grass just completely surrounds us, not an object in sight. Meanwhile, “The Man of the Hour” Josh remains to be nowhere to be found. He is apparently lost in this forbidden grass field. Seconds go by as the former WFWF International Champion remains to be vanished. Startling, Josh pops through the grass curtain, and stands before the small pool of water just staring at his reflection in the water.
Josh: Of course, before I take my long awaited leave of absence, I must finish any outgoing matches I have left. But surprisingly, I’m not mad, or upset… at all. You see at my debut for the WFWF House Shows, I will face a man who possibly made a bigger impact more than any one individual ever in WFWF history. For the first time in my career, I have finally received the one match I have been craving for, a match I desired for, for too long. Ever since I made my debut in October of 2004, I looked up to an individual who I truly felt had my future spot in this business. He was the very top superstar, everyone had no look up to him, they had no choice. He simply created that big of an impact. Despite all the stardom, many looked up to him for one reason. He had something many can only dream about, something that I have dreamed about for too long. This man had the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship. I was jealous. So jealous I despised this man. I mean, he had it all. World Gold, ownership of the company, hell, he was even inducted in the WFWF Hall of Fame. However, while everyone was asking the question as to what will he win next? I couldn’t help but ask myself, as to if he deserved it. What made him any better than me to get everything in the palm of his hand? What made him any better than me to get several shots at various championships? Nothing. Now, at House Show 3 I will finally get the chance to step toe to toe with the former WFWF World Champion, and current Tag Team Champion, ZMaster.
The Man of the Hour continues to stand perfectly still, the wind slowly blowing through his short black hair, as he simply stares deep into the water. The long grass peacefully sways back and fourth, as the gentle brisk of wind has now become rather soothing. Despite it all, Josh remains to lock eyes with his reflection, as many ponder as to what he will say next.
Josh: Never would I realize since stepping foot into WFWF, that my past is only my future. All the men, all the superstars of my past just keep reappearing throughout this road of mine. As if I’m not meant to live a normal career. Or maybe, it’s just many do not want to see me live a normal career. It’s always been like that. And now, I can’t help but speculate as to whom will reappear next just literally trying to pull me down, and take me off of the top spot. Hell, it’s been like that for as long as I can remember. People who can’t stand the fact that I’m shining faster than they can imagine. And what people may not know, I still believe to this day that ZMaster falls under that category. I just want to laugh as to how long I’ve been here, and not once, not once have I ever faced ZMaster face to face. Hell, even step into the same ring as him for that matter. It’s all so peculiar. I mean, he had to power. Yet, he acted as if I never existed. Why is that ZMaster? Why is it that, I was always overlooked by you? As if I was never good enough. It angered me because for the first time in my life, you made me feel powerless. All I could do then is watch as you gave guys like Crazy Shane, Saku, and even Immune chances to shine…. but never me.
A strong burst of wind passes by disfiguring the reflection of the man of the hour, in the water. Josh looks away as he slightly paces backwards. He clutches his fist before sliding his hands through his short, silk black hair. Meanwhile, the sky is slowly becoming darker despite it still being morning.
Josh: You had it all. Every single thing you wanted you received. Title, after title, after title. While guys like myself struggle to get even a single shot at a title like the Television Championship. When you retired at Superbrawl III, it was a huge sigh of relief to many in the back. After the long awaited struggle, they finally had their chance to shine. You left you legacy, and what a legacy it was. But on top of it all, you were inducted into the WFWF Hall of Fame. Of course, of course it simply wasn’t enough months later. You just had to return to capture yet another championship. You simply had to become the first ever Grand Slam Champion. All the past title reigns just were not enough, was it? It’s sickening more than anything. You just don’t know where to stop, do you ZMaster? You don’t know when to call it quits. The almighty ZMaster just had to ignite his flame once again. But you see, ZMaster, that’s where the problem lies, you can’t just stroll back into town and just regain your spotlight anytime you please. It doesn’t work like that. Back then, I wasn’t able to do anything. I couldn’t. This time around, it is you that is powerless ZMaster. You were messing with your fire for too long, and at House Show 3, I will make it my personal task to once and for all, blow your fire out.
Josh shivers with the breeze starting to heavily pick up. His hair is now blowing uncontrollably as he begins to laugh to himself. He stuffs his hands deep inside his pockets, while he gradually walks in a circle around the small pool of water. Throughout it all, just simply chuckling to himself.
Josh: You fail to realize ZMaster that it was never about receiving title shots, or getting opportunities on my part. It never was. All my heartache came from all the miserable months you put me through. The fact that you acted as if “The Man of the Hour” was not part of the WFWF roster. That made me feel worthless, ZMaster. You made me feel as if I was never going any where as far as my career was concerned. It took you so long to give me a reasonable title shot at… X-Rated Gold. When Shane was champion, one of my biggest rivals in WFWF history, and the biggest at the time, you acted as if I wasn’t even in the picture. At Scars & Stripes, you literally slapped me in the face, when you didn’t include me in the LSD match, and simply made me enforcer. When Shane won television gold, you acted as if I wasn’t even in WFWF, and gave Immune a shot at Code Red. Then finally, at Superbrawl III when it was supposed to be myself, and only myself fighting for gold, you include two other men! Whether it was intentional or not, you made it seem as if it was your goal to make every day of my career miserable. And hell, I could honestly say you succeeded at one point.
Of course, it couldn’t end there. It just couldn’t. After working so hard to win the WFWF X-Rated Title, and hell, getting a single shot at it, you literally slap me in the face again. The same night you announce that Yukio Blaze, a man who was not there for more than two months, and he receives a shot at something I had just won? I just wanted to scream. Yet, sadly enough, I couldn’t do a damn thing about it. Today, I could beat you into a bloody pulp, until I’m satisfied. Yet, I’m still left with knowing all that torment you put me through all those months. It just makes me wonder. Wonder as to what I could possibly do to gain vengeance on your miserable soul. That’s the problem. There’s nothing I can do. I will guarantee you this, ZMaster. As your months left in this company comes to weeks, and those weeks comes to days, and as those days become to hours. I guarantee you that I will make your limited time left here in WFWF, hell. Just like you did to me, ZMaster. It’s just this time around, there will be no turning back. You can’t reverse the clock, ZMaster. Your time is limited.
Josh stops laughing as he slightly grasps his black hair and begins to slightly tug at it. He looks into the water yet again, hair all muddled up, and simply drops to his knees. He places his hand into the water before splashing it upon his face as he commences on about speaking.
Josh: At House Show 3, you will all get a last glimpse at a man who was just trying to make a name for himself. A superstar he caused no harm, nor chaos, just simply climbed his ‘ladder’ to the top without a word. You will get a last look at “The Man of the Hour”, before I disappear. Who knows when I will be back. It could be one week from now, one month from now, or possibly one year from today. One thing is certain however, and that is I will be back. Back a changed man, a changed personality, more importantly, a changed goal. I’ve given you all a chance, I didn’t want to leave. I was forced to. Reality forced me to. Lies forced me too. I won’t be living a lie no longer, that’s for sure. I will put an end to my misery. It’s time for the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship to be placed before me, in my hands, for myself to raise it high. For 16 months I’ve talked about how I was the future, and how I will be the top man. Like me, hate me, love me. You will all realize soon enough that the future is… sooner than you know.
The Man of the Hour looks deep into the man before him. The individual within that reflection. He continues to slightly brush the water before rubbing his wet hands on his white shirt. Within a split second, Josh gets to his feet before reaching deep into his pockets, pulling out his black shades. Just as he is about to place them on his face, he reaches into his pants pocket once again and pulls out a small gold timepiece. Josh grasps that time piece in his hands before tossing it into the water, as the scene fades away.
