Mattekk cant make Deluxe Aggression exactly like Jakks. Jakks has rights to their moulds... If they didnt then why would they be making their UFC figures with DA Moulds. Brock Lesnar is DA4 JBL Mould. Chuck Liddell is a brand new mould and Michel Bisbing has the same mould as Cody Rhodes did. So.. Mattell cant use Jakks version of DA but they can however make their own similar brand new moulds..

I aggree that they should keep making DA type wrestlers, cause they are basically all I collect..

I agree on the fact that Mattell should make DA articulated style figures. But ehy cant use the EXACT SAME moulds as Jakks did. Hopefully they go with DA articulated style and make their own new moulds...

dont worry the mattel figures will be along the lines of the batman and dc line and have skinny bodies and will look horrible you will see. the greatest line of action figures (that you all bitched about for 10 or so years) is dead in a year. If wwe was smart they would have resigned jakks because there sales will be sliced in half at best mark my words.

I agree....like 20% of what Mattel produces actually ends up looking like what it is supposed to, and NONE of it is playable. In a year, we will be sorry and wish we still had Jakks. I only collect DA figures as well, so unless they make something practically identical, I'm done. I'll be 25 then and I'm NOT starting over at 25.

I quit collecting wrestling figs basically because I dont like wrestling these days and because the figures will eventually go down the tube. Jakks going away from wwe is the worst thing for wwe. But Im glad UFC is in a deal with Jakks cus I love UFC and will look to collect MMA Jakks figs! DA style too!

My worry is that Mattel will use the same body mold for Cena, HHH and Batista, like they do for Batman, Superman, Aquaman and Green Lantern. That and that Mattel normally ships stuff 4 times a year, once each qaurter.

That and that Mattel normally ships stuff 4 times a year, once each qaurter. If Mattel tries to pass off existing molds in their WWE figure line, this is going to be a very unhappy marriage between them and the collectors. Mattel needs to be committed to this and they need to create molds specifically for WWE line which accurately represent the different looks and body types of the WWE superstars.

I bet they will create new body molds, only they will use them over and over again like Jakks. I see them re-working parts for diffrent figures over and over.
Or maybe they will make diffrent bodies for everyone but say the molds cost so much that the asking SRP will be $15.00 for a standard figure.

I think they should make some generic bodies types....you know, people like Orton, Cordy Rhodes, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Jericho all have somewhat similar body types. But people like Triple H, John Cena, Batista and Kane who have very unique physiques should get their very own torso's. And it would be a good investment because you know that are big stars and will be around for a while so Mattel would get a lot of use out of them if they produce as many figs of the top guys as Jakks does.

That is if Triple H and Batista last more then another year or two, which I wonder if Mattel has thought that as well. The thing that bugs me is if you go to TRU Mattel has lost shelf space in the Barbie department to Brats toys, Mattel owns the little car isle, but all they have in the action figure area is the Batman movie figures a few JLA figures and the DC Universe Toys. Jakks WWE area is twice the size of the shelf space holding all of Mattels action figures. Mattel is going to have to hope that the WWE space remains theirs and Jakks doesn't have it's hooks to deeply into TRU when it comes to wrestling.

I've worked at Toy Stores such as KB and TRU.....trust me, the shelve space is not going to be a problem. They will still keep all the wrestling stuff together in the same space. The space will only decrease if Jakks produces waves of TNA less frequently, and as people have said, Mattel unfortunately puts stuff out VERY slow. All the stores I go to put the Jakks WWE stuff, and the Toy Biz TNA stuff in the same exact spot....right now it's all WWE stuff though, I haven't seen any TNA merchandise in months.

What I meant was are the stores going to pack the shelves with Mattel figures or Jakks figures? WWE Mattel will be the big thing I think, but if they are put out slowly while wave after wave of TNA stuff comes out which will get the prime shelf and orders. I started thinking about this because of the new G.I Joe tous, they are hugly popular but Hasbro went through a spell where they didn't make enough and many stores had cases on order, internet stores had their orders cut or canceled by Hasbro. Unlike the Transformer toys where the pegs just set empty for a long time, some stores got rid of or cut the number of pegs for single figures and loaded up on the easier to get comic packs.
What if Mattel stuff sells slowly and jams pegs while Jakks stuff that shipps in lower numbers (I doubt this will happen) sells out.

What if Mattel stuff sells slowly and jams pegs while Jakks stuff that shipps in lower numbers (I doubt this will happen) sells out. The bottom line is that at the end of the day, WWE is the more popular brand. More than half the people out there don't even know what TNA is. The majority of people who buy these toys are not on the internet talking about it everyday and aren't nerds about it like us and the company who makes the toys is completely irrelevant to them and chances are they won't even realize somebody else makes them. They are still going to buy figures of WWE guys because they have no idea what TNA is...They want their favorite WWE guys, and they are not going to NOT buy WWE guys because they are crazy like the people on here who are threatening to be "loyal" to Jakks and boycott Mattel's WWE stuff. Kids who buy this stuff probably don't even know what "Jakks Pacific" is. When I was a little kid I didn't call them "hasbros"...I called them "WWF guys" because I was a little kid and all I cared about was that I was getting a toy of my favorite guy. Jakks TNA stuff is going to sell just as bad as Toy Biz TNA stuff did. Because nobody cares about them. The WWE stuff will sell as well, if not better, than Jakks WWE stuff because WWE is a world recognized global brand......TNA isn't.
