Bye Bye Mick Foley. There been talks the last several weeks about Mick Foley wanting out of his contract with the WWE. I wonder what Mick Foley role will be when goes to TNA.
The Sun out of the UK is reporting a close friend of Mick Foley has informed them that the hardcore icon is headed to TNA Wrestling when his WWE contract expires on September 1st.
Foley’s friend told the Sun, “Mick's body cannot handle a full time schedule, even in TNA. But he's hell bent on doing everything he can to further his legacy and put them on the map.
The friend added, "Mick's plan is to wrestle select dates, like Sting currently does. He feels he will legitimately make a big difference in the way TNA Wrestling is perceived by the public!”
Back in 2005, Foley was in talks wih TNA and was very close to signing with the company before he wound up back in WWE. He did not work this week's SmackDown! tapings.

Who really cares besides TNA fans and Vince? He was a mediocre commentator and hadn't done anything exciting since Wrestlemania 22.

Mick Foley is washed up and has not done anything with his career in a very long time. Like Ric Flair once said Mick Foley YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR A GLORIFIED STUNTMAN. Now hang it up already Mick Foley.

I liked Mick Foley as commentator, but I don't see this piece of news as a big deal. He just did a few matche a year anyway so maybe he'll shake things up with TNA.

Quite frankly, I'm shocked/excited. If it means Foley might wrestle a match, then things could be ten times better depending on what we get.

They're actually going to have Foley wrestle regularly? Good grief. I'll believe it when I see it.

It's amazing how little respect some of you guys have for a legend like Mick. Dude gave his body and soul to the sport of wrestling and many of times went above and beyond the call of duty just so you'd get your moneys worth.
I'm happy to see Mick jumping to TNA and bringing some fans with him I'm sure. Maybe he can put it on the map the same way Funk did with ECW.

Foley is a legend dude, for those of us that were growing up watching the Attitude Era, this sucks big time. Foley will be missed by many. EDIT Just looked at your age, no wonder you are so oblivious.

This is awesome. I would love to see Foley vs Abyss and Foley vs Joe. Both could be fun brawls.

No my friend.. there's no talks between TNA and WWE. Foley's probally just stirring the pot. The UK Sun, quoting a "friend close to" Mick Foley is reporting that Foley will leave WWE for TNA when his current deal expires on 9/1. The report claims Foley will work select dates similar to Stings current deal. According to a TNA source, the idea hasn't been discussed nor has their been any conversations between the two sides. Still, it's logical conclusion and I wouldn't be shocked if it didn't happen. Foley had verbally agreed to a TNA deal before signing his most recent WWE contract. Foley wrote in his last book "Hardcore Diaries" that he felt his relationship with Vince McMahon was never the same after he informed McMahon he intended to sign with TNA, even after changing his mind and remaining with WWE. I would also expect that Foley will start popping up for Ring Of Honor once his WWE deal expires as he's a big fan of the company and has made a number of appearances there in the past, including a few where he just showed up and appeared on his own. (PWinsider.com) Who really cares besides TNA fans and Vince? He was a mediocre commentator and hadn't done anything exciting since Wrestlemania 22. .......wait, what? Why would a smart man such as Mick Foley waste his time on a promotion that relies on "Star Power" for their ratings yet they have been doing 1.0's ever since starting?
