As long as he keeps off the juice, he shouldn't have any problem holding onto it. His reign kind of reminds me a lot of RVD's. As long as he stays out of trouble, he should be in great shape. How is his reign like Rob Van Dam's? RVD had been in the WWE for many years before winning the championship, and had credibility from victories over legitimate main-event wrestlers like John Cena, Kurt Angle, and HHH. As far as CM Punk goes, who has he beaten in a REAL match besides Chavo Guerrero and John Morrison? I've seen him job a lot to the likes of Kane, but I can't remember him really getting a decisive win over any major star. Hardy and Jericho.

I think he'll keep it until The Survivor Series and lose it then. That'll be a decent enough reign. I mean, The Survivor Series is only 4 months away and a 4 month reign as champion won't be bad at all. Not too long and not too short.

I think he makes it past Summer Slam. I;ll say around Survivor Series or Armageddon he drops it.

If he retains at the Bash, I would be utterly shocked. Ditto

He's a transitional champ. I expect the World Title to be hot shotted around quite a bit now, with so much talent on Raw...

A lot of it depends on tomorrow night's ratings. If they're higher, they'll keep it on him until Summerslam. If they're the same or lower, he'll probably lose it to JBL or Cena at GAB.
I mean, you can call him a transitional champion, maybe he is. But they could have given the belt to Batista instead but they chose to give CM Punk a shot. He didn't lose the MITB to anyone either, so they're giving him a chance to see how he'll handle it.
Hopefully the ratings stay up so we can have a FRESH face in the main event scene.

You're just sore, because Edge lost the title and now he won't get his "much deserved, year long reign" (or however long you want him to hold the belt for) - and bore the piss out of everybody..

Can you not find an actual argument instead of picking at people's favorites? He likes Edge, so what? You like CM Punk, so what? I agree sometimes he may push his opinion too far, but you have to. I completely agree with him, and I am a fan of Punk. He doesn't look like someone who would hold a main title predominantly.

We're not splitting hairs here, I was just saying overall..CM is a transitional champion. He, like RVD, will have the chance to prove himself as champion. If he stays out of trouble, he will no doubt have no problem proving himself. And yes, I know it's not an act. Ive been following punk for some time..

Anyone can hold a main title, if it's scripted for them to - look has nothing to do with it.. Also, I wasn't pushing my opinion on anyone, FYI.. The point I was making was, is that he doesn't know for definite that the "WHC is going to be hot-shotted around".. Nobody does - he's hoping that will happen and Punk loses the belt at the earliest opportunity, because he dislikes Punk.. It's easy to dismiss someone as merely a 'transitional champ', when they've just taken the belt off your favourite..
