stfu and let him have his opinion I'm not questioning his opinion - I'm questioning his reasoning as to why Punk is champion.. Well that has to be the reason, because look at all of the wrestlers that have been in the WWE a lot longer than CM Junk and are way more talented and entertaining and have never been a World or WWE Champion.

Of course Vince will put the title on a wrestler that has sheep fans... it's called a solid fanbase. Most guys at the top have them... check if you don't believe me. How far would a wrestler go in WWE that didn't have a solid fanbase? About as far as Carlito most likely.

Edge is a heel, he was supposed to look cowardly and win it cheap i dont like CM Punk, but I will set that aside for right now and say this... Punk is a face. Like that or not. And as a face, winning dirty isnt something that is usually done. Now i know CM fans are happy he won the belt, seriously, congrats to the guy. But a cowardly heel win isnt going to build himmup at all. He just...won. What now? Edge won, like a puss (and i loved that) and Cena got revenge. Who is there to get that on Punk? Batista, Rey, Kane? no... i believe that RVD did it the right way, a way any honorable face wouldve done it. At the very least, they could have had Batista stop him on the ramp and be like "go get him," like Bret at WrestleMania IX. At least with Batista's approval it looks slightly less cheap.

Punk was giving Edge a taste of his own medicine. That is being cunning, not a coward. If he was the latter, he wouldn't have accepted JBL's challenge later that night... he would've tucked tail and ran.

Nicely pointed out. I marked the out when I seen it, been a fan since the start and I dislike people who've turned on him yet are fans of Morrison and bland people like him.

What a great short career he's had in the WWE... in two years he's held two of the 3 "world" titles, and had the MITB.

Isn't that the truth, What makes me laugh is nobody knew who he was until he debuted in WWE. Yeah, because OVW and ROH don't exist. *sarcasm* I hate those friggin people. I marked out a little bit, I think it was obvious what was going to happen and that he just hit G2S and won.

When he came out i was like "Is he cashing in?" Then i was like "YES!!!" and i sat right up on my bed. Then i marked out like i was 10 again when he won. Even though Edge is my favorite wrestler.

They acknowledge it on air as a world title, and whether or not it means anything because it's the "WWECW" title is in' irrelevant, all of the belts are props when it comes down to it. They're used to show who is the 'top' guy on each show, and Punk has been the TOP GUY of TWO shows now. That's what I was trying to say, you in happy now?

No...so youre telling me if the World and WWE champs were in the Royal Rumble, it'd be okay? The point of that match up is to face A CHAMPION. Seeing as one of the so called main champs was in the Royal Rumble match up, what does that say

That Chavo was in the Rumble. That's what it means.
WWE does a lot of things that make no sense.

exactly. i know they do but it makes the ECW title seem worthless. And look, im not saying CM Punk is untalented. Sure, he hasnt been as good as he was in ROH and TNA and the other indie promotions. I'm just saying that he bored the crap out of me, he's a douche in real life (personal experience) and it was just a dumb way to win, atleast for a face thats as over as he is
i dont get why someone can say Michaels or Kennedy etc sucks but if I ever say a word about Punk, i get bashed for it

I'd like to, but I live in the middle of in nowhere. If I ever did meet him, I'm sure being that we're both into the same music, we could carry a conversation over more than wrestling. BUT, whether or not he is a douche, or nice... which I've heard both, and people do have their bad days, right now I care about the guy I see on TV, and he does entertain me. I get what you're saying though, totally. WWE needs to figure out what the the ECW title means, especially after the banner that was hung at Night of Champions. I'm a big fan of HBK, personally not so much for Kennedy, but an HBK/Punk match would make me insanely happy as a fan. Sorry for being a dick bro, totally didn't mean to come off like that!

Hasn't everyone been on it, since like, he debuted in the E?Anywho, this is pretty cool, I was a big fan of his back in his IWA-MS and ROH days, I don't watch that much wrestling anymore but this is pretty damn badass, and it might draw me back in. Isn't that the truth, What makes me laugh is nobody knew who he was until he debuted in WWE. It doesn't matter when you became a CM Punk fan. You should be happy for CM Punk that he's grown this big and that there are so many people out there now who appreciate CM Punk... It always bothers me when people act all elitist because "they liked Punk first and everyone else is jumping on the bandwagon"... I'm sure Punk doesn't care when you became a fan of his... he probably only cares that you are a fan.

For anyone who has been a long time Punk fan, you should be glad to have more Punk fans growing around the world. Internet fans, for the most part, are the biggest ing annoying marks, I swear. So what if one of your favorites becomes a main stream favorite? You should be happy. Because the more popular he gets, the more of a push he will get. The more popular he gets, the more merchandise he sells. The more merchandise he sells, the longer he reigns supreme. But certain wannabee smarks will turn on that person the minute they become extremely main stream. Its no longer cool to cheer for John Cena. A few years back, John Cena was loved by the internet community. Did Cena really get boring or did the IWC just get tired of one of their favs becoming mega popular. Whether CM Punk loses the title tomorrow, next week or 20 years from now.....I'm a Punk fan. Have been for very, very long time. Whether he goes main stream or not, I like him. I like him as a performer and I like him for his ability to work in the ring.
