I don't think Smackdown! has ever had a 3 Hour Show. I'd love to see one though.

They don't have enough viewers, thus why WWE doesn't waist their money on one.

Not think so. I can't understand why WWE normally do something awesome for RAW, such as 3 hours, Draft Brand (I know that for 3 of brand, but they host it at RAW event), etc and not SD!

With the way they are on free tv, I think it would be too hard to get an extra hour for Smackdown to run.

I DVR Smackdown, but then just end up deleting it. It bores the hell out of me lately.

SmackDown is a really good wrestling show but it can drag on at times. I finished up watching this past Friday's show late last night, and I thought it was pretty good overall but in no way does it warrant an extra special hour.
Raw doesn't even need an extra hour most of the time, but it's one of the only times where we actually get more than 1 or 2 decent wrestling matches on a card that way. It would be interesting to see a special 2-hour ECW event, though.

Didn't they have a special 3 hour SD! were I think the first hour was on wwe.com and the last 2 hours were on tv. I'm not sure but I think it was also the same episode with the controversial scene of Randy Orton running down the Undertaker through the entrance dome in a low rider? Maybe I'm mistaken.

When Smackdown switch to friday nights. The hurricane Katrina concert was aired by UPN on Smackdown's debut night. So UPN only aired the 2nd hour of Smackdown(and wwe.com streamed the first hour). Hope that Explains that. And come on the only way WWE would air a draft on smackdown was if it were live.(and smackdown airing live is extremely rare)

Easy enough, more people watch Raw than Smackdown!, so Raw always gets the bigger event. Smackdown! doesn't have the ratings to hold over a 3 hour event.

Because CW/MyNetworkTV/UPN ( Back then) only air 2 Hours of prime time TV while The " Big 4" ( expect fox) all do 3 hours. USA is a cable station and doesn't have to worry about that. It has nothing to do with ratings, it's just the fact that Smackdown has always ended up on a basic network that only has 2 hours of programming

They could do it, if it was LIVE! instead of taped.
