" In 1998, Copeland was signed by the World Wrestling Federation and made his television debut on the June 22 episode of RAW is WAR as Edge, a loner character who entered the arena through the crowd for his matches. His character's persona included him walking around the city streets aimlessly and beating up innocent pedestrians. His first televised match was against Jose Estrada, Jr., which ended prematurely by countout when Edge performed a somersault senton from the ring to the outside, legitimately injuring Estrada's neck."Can't believe he's been around for ten years now. I think its' scary to think that, even with all his injuries, he's still accomplished almost everything there is. I could only imagine how many title reigns he would have racked up in 03-04 if he hadn't been out. And I'll alwaaaays be upset over his 11 month World Title reign ending prematurely last year. The only things left to do for him is have a long World Title run and maybe a Royal Rumble victory.

To be honest Ive never seen Edge as one of the greats. For some reason he just doesnt seem like someone of massive significance. I wish his title reigns had more worth, that would change my opinion. Nonetheless congrats to him, its hard to stay around for 10yrs and be decent. Ask Val Venis.

I can see Edge as Royal Rumble winner in next few years a time.
Edge was way too better than John Cena, IMO.

Did anyone bring cake?
Cake totally rocks the party that rocks the body.
And more importantly, why was there no anniversary thread for Val Venis last month?

Wow, I can't believe it's been 10 years already. The man really has accomplished so much. This deserves a celebration of some sort. I'll have to go break out the kazoos and streamers.
Long live the stream. And long live the 'zoo.

I still remember when Edge would sit in the crowd watching the show (Raw) as it went on for several weeks.
His time with the Brood was fun, especially looking back to see his roots with the Undertaker and how far he's come since then.
Up until about 2002-2003, I was a pretty big fan of Edge, even getting to meet him at my local mall back in the summer of 1999. To me, he became stale for a while and it wasn't until the Rated R Superstar gimmick came about that I started to enjoy watching him again. After seeing his feud with the Undertaker develop from last year, I still had doubts about him as one of the company's top main-eventers, but after watching him go at the Rumble and with the Undertaker at WrestleMania, I believe he's got it in him.
Now, he's the head of his own stable and, really, in the prime of his career. Hopefully he'll be around for years to come as he seems to be a dedicated man (and, it pays off) to the company, so I'm sure he'll have plenty of title reigns waiting for him in the future.

Good for him, seriously. Edge is one of my favorite wrestlers and I'm very glad to say he's The World Heavyweight Champion. He's done a lot. But as T1 said, makes you wonder if he would've gotten the WWE Championship back in 2002-2003 if he hadn't have gotten injured. They were really pushing him as a top face on Smackdown!.
