I highly doubt this is true because they said the same thing about Cena, because WWE wanted to make it a Huge suprise when he came back at the Royal Rumble. I think they'll do the same thing with Orton. John Cena's injury was fake. It was just to get the belt off him without having to have anybody beat him. And Cena still hasn't lost clean since his return. Randy Orton's career could actually be over. Collarbones are tricky and no matter how long you take to heal them, if they break in certain sports they will keep breaking over and over. That is the fear with Candice Michelle, that she will never wrestle again. Despite how many months off and 2 surgeries, she came back and IMMEDIATELY re-broke her collarbone in her first match back. Wrestlemania 24...

It would really suck to see him on top of the mountain one day and then a month later have his career ended.

YAY Doesn't surprise me really though expecially since I'm just coming off a collarbone injury that doesn't sound as bad as that and it's still not fully healed in about 3 months, plus the initial diagnosis was that it wouldn't be that bad and then was changed to a much worse one, so yeah could be even longer.

Wrestlemania 24... That doesn't really count as "clean" because to me recollection Cena was about to pin Triple H...and then Orton "cheap shotted" (according to the announcers) Cena with that "head punt". Anyway. I hope Orton will be able to make a full recovery and is able to comeback. Despite what a lot of people believe about him, I enjoy his character, he has the look of a champion, and his matches aren't terrible. But right now, his fate is out of his hands because like I said....with collarbones, if you break them in the wrong spot, they become weak forever and you will keep breaking it over and over and over, which ends your career. Your collarbone really controls the balance and momentum of your entire upperbody...so you really need a healthy one, or anyway you fall in the ring could break it.

Hi. I am new here and as I said in my introductory post, I am a huge Orton mark/fan whatever. I have met him several times. Nice guy, and there were a couple of run ins I had where he was, let's say not very receptive. LOL Anyway, I agree with some people here about his collarbone. My second cousin broke his, and he played lacrosse. Fortunately, he had no complications and did not break it again. Of course, in pro wrestling, there is alot more physical contact considering the fact that the wrestlers take, for a lack of a better term, unusal hits that lacrosse players don't.....like legdrops and particpating in Last man standing matches where anything goes and stuff like that. Randy is in an activity (not trying to down play my cousin) where he can re break it over and over and over and he will be done and I do not want that to happen.

Isn't his wife pregnant or something??? If so, then that's good for him, maybe he'll actually be there for the birth

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter -- The severity of Randy Orton's broken collarbone is worse than originally thought. His return to the ring has been pushed back until at least October. The initial timetable for his return was just after SummerSlam. !!! !!! !!! !!! !!! That really sucks. Well, it's better for him to be fully healed than pulling off a Candice and coming back too soon and not at 100%, being at a great risk of re-injuring himself.

Will give him some time with his baby when he/she comes, atleast. Maybe Hennig will be called up soon.

This freakin stinks. Randy Orton is one of my favorite wrestlers so it sucks that he'll be off of TV so long. My two favorite wrestlers are HBK and Orton. Orton is on the shelf and HBK has become pretty much a PPV-only wrestler so I never get to see him wrestle on RAW anymore ... it's a shame.
