This whole giveaway is a nice treat for the current WWE fans, but I don't agree with the reason for having it in the first place; that being to draw past/new fans to the product and to increase ratings. Is this what WWE has stooped to to attract new viewers? By simply giving away a million dollars without any emphasis on the actual, you know, wrestling aspect of the organization? My prediction is an increase in ratings for several weeks, barely, with the majority of these new fans tuning out as soon as the code is introduced at the start of the show. Contest is over, ratings fall back to below 3.0 and so goes life. It just bothers me when WWE is able to put on great shows like two weeks ago without any sort of gimmick (other than the ppv for last Sunday) yet dedicates a whole Raw to the million dollars sitting on the edge of the stage this week, and what do you know, the rest of the show blows.

To say that the rest of the show "blows" is all in opinion.
I personally thought that Hardy/Cena was awesome, although predictable on who would win. Cena and Hardy both did a great job making fans believe in those close 2 counts.
The divas tag match wasn't too bad and spiced up Burchill/Kennedy even more, which will be an awesome fued. Jericho and JBL wasn't too great though and this was the first match I saw (got home from the movies around 9:40pm), but the "second thought" angle that Jericho has right now is interesting and I know i'm curious as to what this is all going to come down to.
Anyways, back to the "give-away". It's a great idea on behalf of McMahon, the WWE and USA... but i'm personally not a fan of it. Yes, I entered and yes I will everyday, but who wouldn't? It's a chance at FREE money. But I do agree with chicago on the part about it only bringing ratings up for several weeks, then back to the normal viewers. However, McMahon did say during the press conference that he'll do this for as long as he wants. Maybe he'll do it until RAW ratings all around are up? Who knows.
It's a little exciting and interesting, to say the least...

Did anyone notice that at ONS - McMahon made a big point about how no WWE employee could win and then at RAW, King and JR are like "oh man I can't wait to register!" I absolutely hate when they contradict themselves!!!!!!!!!!

I'd mark out like a sonuvabitch if Ted DiBiase Jr. won the grand prize. Me too. They should do that and Vince says fine keep your money but i'm doing it again. I refuse too enter this you can't pay me enough to enter. Why I'm not old enough. If you're old enough to be on WF, you are old enough to enter, it's the same age limit.

Like most people, I wouldn't care if I won the $2. Having a check signed by Vince for $2 would be amazing.

I think this whole thing is stupid and a lame attempt to try and increase ratings. This is wrestling afterall and I'm sure it'll be a scam of some-sort. Either that or Vince will swerve everyone and end up keeping the money.

Either that or Vince will swerve everyone and end up keeping the money. But he keeps the money anyway. Can you imagine how many advertisers are falling over themselves to sponsor RAW now? Well.. probably not many, but those that are are not being shown to a whole new audience (greedy people) so WWE's higher ratings will help them out. Its all crap anyway. Cant wait for WWE-ality. the WWE Reality show on WWE.com. 5 wrestlers, 5 divas, all have to travel together and we get to watch the excitement!

I'd be really pissed if I finally won something and it was $2. I'd feel like I wasted my luck because I could have won the lottery or something...what are the odds of getting picked for this and then something else...so IF I'm getting picked for anything I want it to be big. I could use $250,000 for school/insurance bills.
I wonder how many weeks in a row Vince is going to do this?

I just think it's pathetic he's doing this to get more fans for Raw. The wrestlers themselves can do that.
