How can you give him five years when the passenger wasn't wearing a seatbelt? Common sense says you should have been wearing a seatbelt. They are both responsible.

I hope he gets five years, just so he learns not to suckle on daddy's nips anymore and make a name for himself.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like this kid was kidnapped or anything.
But I was involved in a situation similar, in which a girl who was sold drugs at a party, went into a 90 day coma. They tried to get money from the families of the kids who sold he drugs, but they didn't shove them down her throat. The girl willingly put herself in the coma by taking all the drugs and purchasing them. It was her fault, not the people who sold her the drugs. I see this the same way, but Nick deserves a shot of reality IMO and deserves atleast a few years probation and maybe a few weeks in jail to show him where he can end up. But he wont get jail time, he'll get probation.

Here's what will happen: he'll get a slap on the wrist because of being a celebrity. Remember, they're above the law and can do whatever they please. I don't like it but that seems to be how the law works.

I've been thinking about more and more, yea he is a spoilt idiotic brat who thinks he awesome because he hast he last name 'Hogan', but at the end of the day, I am sure Nicks hurting too, he has lost a friend, he has to take the responsibility of crippling that friend, and I think that is one big blow, let alone the sentance.
But at the same time I like seeing people with more money than me, get arrested, here for... To death with Nick Hogan! >=D

In my honest opinion enough is enough already with these spoiled rotten kids with no regards for the law. Plain and simple I really don't care if the passenger wasn't wearing a seatbelt Nick was racing on a public street and a rain soaked one so he's lucky that no one else was injured or killed. To me to get the point across and make these people accountable they need to give them the maximum and stop passing these bullsh*t sentances. Is wearing a seatbelt wrong..yes, but Nick decided to drink and drive and race and to me driving like a jack*ss is unforgivable and maybe if he spends some time in jail maybe just maybe he may learn his lesson.

I don't like it but that seems to be how the law works. Most people in his circumstances wouldn't recieve jail time. His name in this case has very little to do with the outcome, it's more of money he has and the lawyers he can get.

But remember too the judge is the one who is handing down the sentence and he may choose to throw the book at him. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Source: TMZ.com Nick Hogan will be in Pinellas County (Florida) court tomorrow to face the music regarding the criminal charges brought against him by the family of John Graziano. Graziano was severely injured on August 26, 2007 while a passenger in Nick Hogan's suped up Toyota Supra.
TMZ's legal sources say that Nick Hogan will not fight the charge of felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. He will plead either guilty or no contest. No deal has been struck with prosecutors.
Nick will enter an "open plea" - which gives the judge total control over his sentencing. Victim John Graziano and his family will have an opportunity to testify at a sentencing hearing on how the crime has affected their lives.
The maximum penalty is five years in prison.love your sig, what's funny is the tall guy to Van Damme's right our left is this man! he was also in Bloodsport as Parades (the guy who gets his leg ed up by Chong Li) and Lionheart as a Legionnaire trying to bring JC back.

I hope he gets the full 5 years to teach him a lesson, but it's doubtful. His dad is famous, and has money coming out his ass, so he'll probably get like 5 years probation or something like that.

I feel bad for this kid honestly, he gets a bad wrap here and people don't really know him. He did something incredibly stupid and wreckless and he will pay the price, but you guys need to lay off a bit, he's a kid and none of us actually know him. There seems to be alot of resnetment and disgust towards him based of his character on a TV show and his father, how stupid is that. I agree Nick Hogan needs to pay for his crime, but I don't think he needs to be further judged by us.

He had atleast 5 speeding tickets, 3 of which were for over 100 mph. One was in a work zone. He got a warning for going over 80 mph and his dad was in the car. He's only 17. It's a joke he still was driving on the road. If it was anybody on this board, they'd have a revoked license and possibly in jail by now.

Perhaps saying I feel bad for him was not the best words, I don't feely sympathy for him I just don't think people here should judge him either. Although after watching this hearing it's evident that Nick needs has yet to reprecussions of his actions.

The hearing is going on, some interesting things I've heard.... -Nick reportedly has skateboarded and played with a toy dart gun in the hospital where John is, and the family has said he has not once apologized and shows zero remorse and goofs off when he comes to visit -The father asked for at least on year in prison for Nick -Hulk bought the alcohol that Nick had drank and his passenger had no alcohol in his system -The Hogan family seems to enable his behavior

Hulk Hogan sucks at public speaking apparently, everyother word is "um", he shows little emotion and he's talking about how close he was to John, but nothing about Nick and John. The family of John has already said that Hulk is very remorseful and such but not Nick, and Hulk seems to be reinforcing that.
