I agree, this PPV looks pretty bad. I mean, we've basically seen all these stinkin' matches before. Let's do a quick run-down, shall we? John Cena vs. J.B.L. - Seen it before at WrestleMania XX, 4 friggin' years ago!! And we know who won then and we know who will win now. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho - Seen it before at WrestleMania XIX, 5 years ago. HBK won then and I'm sure he'll win now. Edge vs. The Undertaker - Seen it before at this year's WrestleMania and we all know who won. Man, this feud sucks and I'm bored to death with their boring matches and lame storyline. They have fought each other so many damn times, that I'm tired of seeing it. I don't care who wins here, but I'll bet on Undertaker yet AGAIN. So predictable, it's sad... Triple H vs. Randy Orton - Seen it before about 4 years ago when Orton had a very brief face run and had about a 1 month reign as World Heavyweight champion. We've seen them wrestle each other numerous times, and the majority of them had Triple H winning and I'm sure that's what will happen here again. No surprise there. Man, talk about a repetitive card here or what?? Who wants to shell out $40+ for crap we've already seen countless times before?? I know I sure as hell won't. This is just another PPV I won't be ordering as usual. The undercard is sorta-kinda-newish.  |

Why does everyone complain of predictability when WWE has ALWAYS been predictable, especially when you come on to forums like these, read dirt sheets, etc. We haven't seen Cena/JBL since WM21, I think, so it's tolerable, and I'm not totally against them facing each other again. At least Cena isn't holding the title. Edge/Taker always put on a great match. At least it's not Edge/Batista or Batista/Taker. Triple H/Orton is bad... we've seen it on and off since No Mercy last year, but at least this time there's a Cage stipulation.
I seemed to have used "at least" a lot... not a good thing.
To me, the card looks good, but it's filled with stuff we've already seen before. The only re-match on there that SHOULD be on there is Michaels/Jericho. The rest of the re-matches aren't rematches that we need to see anytime soon, if ever again. Definitely one of WWE's weakest PPVs this year, and to be honest, I think this is where it's going to get crappy for a few months, with less-than-stellar PPV events like ONS, Vengeance and The Bash all so close together.

He's certainly not in the same shape he was then, that's for sure. That was before WWE was taking this whole "drug policy" as serious as they are now. I mean, if J.B.L. can't have a decent match with Chris Jericho, do you honestly think he'll have a good match with Cena?? I don't friggin' think so. Like I said, it was awful then and it'll be awful now. It'll be a train-wreck from start to finish. That's my prediction for that whole match. |

I don't mind it, personally. I never liked JBL as champion or even as a wrestler, in general. He bores me. I love Cena, but not even he can carry JBL, when sometimes Cena has to get carried himsef (ala Michaels). It's a train wreck, you're right. I'll probably do the thing we can't speak of on this forum to see Michaels/Jericho. The rest I don't care about seeing. |

It will be a decent enough show to waste $13 on, which is exactly what I'll do, since I'm going to the local movie theater to watch it. For the non big four, no matter how craptacular they are, if there is nothing else to do, $13 is worth it to kill some time.
Cena/JBL, while it won't be a great match, is alright and somewhat fresh with what we have gotten recently. And since Cena's been kind of out of the mix lately while filming his movie, he'll probably have a lot of intensity which will make this more entertaining.
HBK/Jericho was looking promising to me when HBK confirmed he faked the injury, but Batista more or less saying he was coming for Michaels on Smackdown kind of makes me pissed there will most likely be a run in, but the match before that should be pretty fun.
Tag title match is different, I hope Miz and Morrison retain, gives them a lot of credibility, and builds towards the Kane/Punk feud that seems to be coming eventually.
Orton/HHH, while so predictable, will still be good. They usually put on a good match, and they are both pretty good in a cage, so I'm excited for this one. Matches are laways more entertaining on a movie theater screen, but I think this one will be a good match.
Edge/Taker is my most looked forward to. Even if Taker does win again, both of their matches have been fantastic imo, I've really enjoyed both, so I'm not upset about getting another. I actually want this feud to go on for another PPV after, so I'm hoping for a draw, and then a Last Ride Match or something at Night of Champions.
While Big Show/Mark Henry is going to be brutal, who cares? I always find these matches kind of funny, I hope Big Show wins, because this push of dominance is actually really good for getting him hyped up again.
I'm looking forward to this PPV actually, it will be a mindless, fun time. No need to be overly nitpicky.

Edge/Taker- Done at WM24 & Backlash H/Orton- Done sooo many times, most notably Unforgiven 04, Royal Rumble 05, No Mercy 07, & Backlash Jericho/HBK- Done at WM19 and Raw in 2003, although this is worthy of another match JBL/Cena- Done at WM21 & Judgment Day 05 Mickie/Beth/Melina- Exact match was done on the last Raw of 2007 Punk/Kane vs. Miz/Morrison- We haven't seen a tag match between these two teams, but I think we've gotten every single possible singles match between the four except for Punk vs. Kane. Show/Henry- Happened like 3 weeks ago on SD, and I'm sure at least once during Show's first reign. |

ANY PPV, let alone this one, would be worse-off with Big Show vs. Mark Henry added to the card. If it hasn't been added, then big deal. I was only going by what the guy said. He said that crappy match was added and I posted my opinion on it. You can't be serious if you think Big Show vs. Mark Henry will be a good match?? I certainly hope you aren't that dumb to think that. This card is nothing but crap we saw years ago. There isn't anything on this damn card that I care about. Not one single match. And if you suckers actually shell out $40+ and order it, then you all have my sympathy. If there could possibly be anything good about this repetitive card, it would be HBK vs. Jericho and that's it. Their match at 'Mania XIX 5 years ago was great. Let's see if it will be as good all these years later... |

I have no idea what I am talking about?? Hmmm, I think you are wrong there. No, I'm pretty much right. But it wasn't confirmed at the time he posted it.. It can't be any worse than Demolition vs. The Bolshiveks, Demolition/The Powers of Pain (ANY of their matches), Demolition/Colossal Connection. So in saying that, yes, it would be god awful. So because we've seen it before...it's a horrible card? Yeah, disregard that on paper, there are some damn good matches. We've seen it before, it's teh SUX! I could go through the motions and tell you how wrong you are for saying that'll be the only good match, but honestly it'd be a waste of my time. You also didn't explain to me how it's going to be the worst PPV ever. Considering you were (apparently) a fan during the 1980s, 1995, and 2006 you should know better than to be making stupid comments like that. |
