WWE has already begun discussing who should be inducted in the 2009 Hall of Fame and with Wrestlemania 25 taking place in Houston many of those names are from the Texas area.
Several names were tossed around prior to Raw in the production meeting this week including the likes of The Funks, The Von Erichs, The Freebirds, Jake Roberts, Ted Dibiase, Ricky Steamboat, Yokozuna and even "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Of course it is very doubtful that all of those names would make it in and with Wrestlemania a year away from happening any plans could change numerous times.
The 08 HOF class wasn't final until just weeks before they started announcing it so I don't expect anything to be decided upon for some time.

Stone Cold should wait until these are ready and then they should go in together imo: Taker, H, Rock, Foley, HBK, Kane & Kurt.
I was thinking Terry Funk & Foley for next year would be pretty sweet tho.

I think everyone mentioned except Yokozuna and Stone Cold should get in.

I think everyone mentioned except Yokozuna and Stone Cold should get in. Austin deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame more then all those guys combined. God, I hate how people like you think you have to have wrestled in the 80's to be in the HOF.

I would personally like to see the Von Erichs go in. HOWEVER.....only Kerry, Kevin, Fritz & David. Sorry but Chris and Mike didn't contribute to the busines. I'm torn on having the brothers inducted individually and Fritz solo or all of them together. But having Fritz inducted by Kevin and Kerry, Kevin and David inducted by Michael PS Hayes would f***ing own. Aside from them......Jake the Snake inducted by Ted Dibiase, the Legion of Doom & Paul Ellering inducted by Dusty Rhodes, Tull Blanchard, JJ Dillon, Arn Anderson and if possible Ole Anderson inducted by Jim Ross and finally, Sting (who will hopefully, FINALLY sign at the end of the year) indcuted by Ric Flair.

And Rock might be too young to go in the HOF right now.

I know it won't happen, not any time soon, but Kurt Angle should be inducted eventually.

This would be a great time to induct the Funks as a family, as WM will be held in their area. I also think the Von Erichs and the Freebirds should be inducted since this is also were they are the best known and would be the best way to put them in. I could see Kevin Von Erich introducing the Freebirds and Michael PS Hayes introducing the Von Erichs.

it's meant to say "Fritz inducted by Kevin, and then Kerry, Kevin & David inducted by Hayes."

Austin may be too soon, but one day he'll be in. I think Yoko should get in based on his talents for a guy his size (I mean, really... he moves way better than most average sized big guys today..) and for being a Somoan World Champion twice... acting as if he was Japanese-ish. That's talent.

Take those first six names listed and lets call it a day! Except, add Davey Boy to the list (unless they're planning on a Wrestlemania in the UK sometime soon).

The only reason I would say no to Austin going into the HOF at this point is that I still believe he isn't done and is going to wrestle one more match sometime in the next few years.

I want Foley inducted in NY I'm pretty sure that they will wait to put him in until WM30 or whenever they bring WM back the MSG. That would make sense, but who knows.

Funk would never happen because apparently there is bad blood between Terry and Vince. Maybe Dory might get the nod though.

The main event HOF inductee next year should be Warrior with or without him. He is the biggest star that is not in the HOF.
