I know this board is FILLED with WM topics, but I gotta say....tonight was the first night ever that I cried or felt the need to cry because of a match.
HBK really really sold the heartbreaking look as he "put Flair down" and then Ric afterwards...good God, it was just overwhelming. Apart from Eddie's HOF induction/tribute shows, I've never cried over anything wrestling related, but Ric's last match really got to me.
My question is, what are some moments in wrestling that made you cry/wanna cry? Being it a match outcome, a death, a retirement, etc.

Very Few times have I cried for something that deals with wrestling...
-Owen Harts Raw Tribute show -Ric Flair Hall of Fame speech -Ric Flair Wrestlemania 24 -Ric Flair 1992 Royal Rumble (tears of joy) -Ric Flairs Greensboro Speech where "the boys" paid tribute to him (after his Raw match with HHH)

I almost cried. The only wrestling moments I cried about was the Owen tribute show, andEddie the whole situation, the day I found out, both tribute shows, the Hall of Fame, his tribute video with the song from 3 doors down.

That was probably the strongest anything in the ring has ever gotten to me.

I cried last night as soon as HBK said I'm sorry i love you. In a bar full of people none the less, only other time I've cried over wrestling besides Saturdays HOF and Owens death.

Yeah, last nights match got to me too. As soon as the match was over and the announcers went quiet I kinda felt the need to cry. I didn't though. Other times I have felt like that was when I found out about Eddie and Benoit.

Seeing Michaels utter "I'm sorry.. I love you" was heartbreaking, and brought me close to tears. I was trying to hold it in, but I think my eyes were a tad watery seeing Flair and his family embracing after the match.
I really do feel for Shawn. All those emotions from him were genuine. He's probably beating himself up over having to be the man to end Ric's career, but from what I understand, Flair hand picked him, so Shawn needs to keep his head high, and see it as an honor, not as a horrible job that he had to do.
The everlasting footage of Ric Flair crying as he recieves the last Sweet Chin Music is possibly the most emotional piece of wrestling footage ever.
Leave the memories alone; don't change a thing.

I was pretty close last night. Right when Shawn said, "I'm sorry".

I'm going to watch that match as soon as they can. It's just the end i want to see. Possibly the most emotional moment EVER in wrestling.

I got teary eyed at the end of the match. I taped it and this morning when I woke up I watched it again and it just hit me and to be honest I was balling my eyes out. It's something astonishing to see the most historic wrestling career reach its close. Unreal.

There's no crying in wrestling.
Anyway, I found it to be emotional, but I really doubt Flair is gone. Wrestlers never, ever retire, they always come back.

Michaels didn't "sell" that heartbreaking look. It was real emotion, or at least I would imagine it was. I didn't cry, but I felt bad. I really did. It was tough to watch that last super kick and Flair go down for the 3-count. I wonder why his music wasn't played, but then I thought that maybe he had the option of having it play or not, and chose not to, in order to really soak up the atmosphere one last time. It's a shame, really. I'm gonna miss him. I don't see him coming back like my friends said, but I do see him playing a role backstage. Wrestling is in his blood, and I just can't see him away from it. Ever.
Good for him, though. That was a nice way to end his 35 year career. If you think about it, that match was the true main event of the night, and it drew my attention more than anything, tbh.
