NOVEMBER 19TH 2001; BOOKER T INJURY -WCW.com
WCW World Champion Booker T has suffered a torn tricep during training today. He is expected to be out for around 2-4 months. He joins Bill Goldberg on the sidelines, who underwent knee surgery earlier this year thanks to the attack suffered on the last Monday Nitro at the hands of Jeff Jarrett.

HARD ROCK CAFE, LAS VEGAS, NV JANUARY 14th 2002A recap video of the final WCW Monday Nitro broadcast in February 2001 airs. Then, the shows intro begins to play as we go live into the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are at ringside and they welcome us back to WCW 'under real leadership'. We get underway with Eric Bischoff in the ring. Bischoff welcomes us back to WCW, the world's greatest primetime entertainment program on television today. He thanks everyone for turning up tonight, for watching at home and to several others, including Fusient Media Ventures for backing his quest to take control of WCW, and to The FOX Network for giving him a chance to become successful again. Bischoff talks about the Championship Belts in WCW. He says that as the company has been reborn, all titles are from this point forward vacated. A tournament will be held up until our February Pay-Per-View where the finals will decide a new WCW World Champion. But that's not all. Tonight, we'll crown a new United States Champion LIVE on Monday Nitro! "Sugar" Shane Helms defeated Chris Candido.Helms looked excellent here, though Candido was fairly sloppy. Helms hit the Vertebreaker to pick up the pinfall victory. Helms should surely be in contention for the Cruiserweight Championship now. A video package is shown on screen, highlighting the last match on Monday Nitro between Booker T and Scott Steiner for the WCW World Title. Booker T came out on top that night. Schiavone and Heenan reveal that due to his recent injury, Booker T will NOT be in the WCW Title Tournament. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner is backstage. Standing next to him is the former Sable, Rena Mero. Steiner introduces her as his new valet. Tonight, Steiner reveals he'll battle "The Total Package" Lex Luger in the Main Event in the First Round of the WCW Title Tournament. Steiner predicts victory, and the reclaiming of the WCW World Title. The Great Muta & Vampiro won a Tag Team Invitational Battle Royal. The match also included The Outsiders, Vicious and Delicious, Lance Storm & Elix Skipper, The Jung Dragons, Disco Inferno & Alex Wright, Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo, Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio Jnr. and Chavo Guerrero & the returning Eddie Guerrero. The Great Muta last eliminated Eddie Guerrero to take the victory for his team. With this win, Muta & Vampiro advance in the ranks of the Tag Team Division. We go to Curt Hennig, who says that he will be the one, after it's all settled, taking the WCW World Title. His Tournament Match is live next week on Monday Nitro! Shane Douglas defeated Rick Steiner and Diamond Dallas Page in a Triple Threat Match to win the WCW United States Championship.Douglas picks up his 3rd United States Title with Steiner yet again falling victim to The Franchiser. Post-match, Steiner attacked Douglas, leaving him down on the mat. Backstage, Mean Gene Okerlund is standing by with Lex Luger. Luger warns Scott Steiner not to underestimate him tonight, because he too would love the taste of WCW gold again, and he'd gladly take Steiner out to get it. 'Voodoo Child' hits the P.A system, and the fans rise as Hollywood Hulk Hogan comes out to the ring. Once he's finished his posing routine, Hogan takes the mic, and says how glad he is to be free of bullcrap like Vince Russo and to be back in WCW. His promo basically goes on about how he's the 'Icon of WCW'. This brings out Ric Flair, who gets straight on Hogan's case and opposes his comments. Flair says he's busted his ass for 25 years to be number one in WCW, not for Hogan to come in and take a fat paycheck and take his spot. Flair challenges Hogan right there and then, but Hogan turns him down and mutters 'we'll see' before exiting slowly from the ring. Backstage, Jeff Jarrett is seen strutting around, talking about how he'll be the next WCW World Champion. He also gloats about how he took out the mighty Goldberg. Scott Steiner defeated Lex Luger in a WCW Title Tournament Match.A slow, but surprisingly good match. Steiner picked up the win with the Steiner Recliner. As Luger lay unconscious on the mat, Rena Mero raised Steiner's hand in victory. We're out of time tonight. See you on Thunder!

Nice opening segmant for the first show back. But I think it should have been written out. Helms/Candido sounded great. Steiner is in WCW Douglas as US champion is cool, wonder where this will go... Hope to god Steiner doesn't win the World Belt. Overall this was a good show, but you have too many of the old timers... I don't see Hogan back in WCW, as he was with the WWF... but then again you need some of the veterens to start with...

Nice Opening Segment and Match glad to see Helms get the win, shame Booker can't be in the tournament would have been good to see him challenge for the title, wish Chavo and Eddie had won but oh well, would have prefered it if DDP had got the pin but Douglas is good, Steiner winning is good but I really hope he doesn't win the tournament, reply to WWE 08 Please

This was started in 2001, so technically, Hogan was a free agent when I signed him. Thanks for the replies.

Wow, Nitro was really well written. I like Steiner advancing in the WCW Title tournament, give him the belt. I wish you wouldn't have brought Hogan back, especially for a feud with Flair. Douglas is US champ? Cool. I wish Muta wasn't stuck in that damn team with Vampiro, but it's cool that they won their match.

HARD ROCK CAFE, LAS VEGAS, NV JANUARY 17th 2002The Thunder credits roll, followed by a pyro technics display as Tony Schiavone and Scott Hudson welcome us to the return of WCW Thunder. We're straight into action.. "Sugar" Shane Helms defeated Psychosis, Chris Candido and Chavo Guerrero in a Fatal Four Way Match.Great opener, each competitor did well here. Helms continues to impress, pinning Psychosis with the Vertebreaker. Eric Bischoff appears on the titantron. He announces we'll see two more WCW Title Tournament matches tonight on Thunder, both including The Outsiders. We see a recap video of the confrontation between Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair on Monday Nitro. Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio Jnr. defeated Kid Romeo & AJ Styles.Quick, fast paced match. Mysterio pinned Styles after hitting his Super Hurricanrana. Backstage, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash discuss their Tournament matches tonight. Both men promise to come out as victors, and discuss a possible Tournament Final against each other. Kevin Nash defeated Lance Storm in a WCW Title Tournament Match.Quick match. Nash's size was the deciding factor here, weakening Storm with a Big Boot before finishing him off with a Jacknife Powerbomb. A promotional video airs for Curt Hennig. His WCW Title Tournament Match is this Monday on Nitro. Jeff Jarrett is backstage with Mean Gene Okerlund. He says that he'll be the one entering the Finals of the WCW Title Tournament, not Scott Hall, because he will defeat him tonight. Backstage, US Champion Shane Douglas is seen bashing a door reading 'Rick Steiner' as several backstage workers try to drag him away. Steiner comes from behind and whacks Douglas in the back of the head with a lead pipe and tells him he wants the US Title back. Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Chris Kanyon.Bigelow was immense, and proved so by demolishing Kanyon. Bigelow is indeed in the WCW Title Tournament, and you'd have to be crazy to bet against this mammoth of a man. A preview airs for WCW Monday Nitro. It highlights the fact we'll see Curt Hennig in action, along with appearances from Ric Flair, Eddie Guerrero and others. Jeff Jarrett defeated Scott Hall in a WCW Title Tournament Match.Jarrett cheated to gain the victory here, using his guitar on the knee of Hall and then hitting the Stroke to put his opponent away. Kevin Nash ran Jarrett out of the ring as WCW Thunder goes off air.

Good show, Glad Helms got the win. Hopefully he will be pushed more, very underrated wrestler imo. Nash/Storm is a interesting match! Too bad Storm was squashed... Glad Jarrett beat Hall.
This show was good, I have no idea who will win the belt, I am guessing Nash. I just hope Steiner doesn't win it. I can't stand the guy as a Main Eventer for some reason.

Oooooh... a Sugar Shane push! This is awesome. Are you ever going to leave feedback that is over a sentence long? seriously, it's rather annoying. (Will edit this in a while once I read that last show.) Edit: Loved the fact that Bam Bam Bigelow won, I really hope he gets a Main Event push. Rey/Kidman over Styles and Romeo was also cool. Depending on how long the diary goes, maybe early 02 you can start to push AJ as a strong upper midcarder. Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash advancing in the World Title tournament is cool, however I hope either of them win the title. I wouldn't mind Nash actually, more him than Jarrett. Would of liked to see Luger win the title but he is out, so I actually hope S. Steiner gets the belt. I don't mind him. The team of Muta and Vampiro sounds so badass hope they get a run with the tag titles somewhere down the line if you keep them together.

I like the way WCW is back here, I think so far it has been well written. Booker T not being in the WCW Title tournament is a shame. I also hope in the near future that AJ Styles gets somewhat of a push.

Damn, I was really hoping that Hall would've won as I'm a sucker for him being in a main event. I expect Steiner to get the belt which I understand. Not big on a Hogan/Flair feud at this point in their careers, unless this is like a retirement match or something where Hogan looses but I dont expect this.
Not having the two top faces of the company is a shame. Which makes me wonder why Sting wasn't on the first Nitro.
