Stars of World Class on Tour Week 1 May 1983 Results:
Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts cut an in-ring promo on Kevin and Kerry Von Erich. They called the cowards, and challenged them to come out to the ring and prove they aren't. It didn't take much longer, and Kevin and Kerry charged the ring, and the opening bout was underway!
Kerry and Kevin Von Erich beat Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts in 8:37 when Kerry used the Discus Punch on Roberts. Solid, good paced opening crawl where everyone in the match looked good. Crowd was really into this match, and pulling for the Von Erich Boys. Terry Gordy came out after the match and attacked Kevin's right leg with a chair before Kerry ran him and the other two members of the Freebirds off. Rating: B+
Bill Mercer was standing by with Skandor Akbar. Akbar says that this territory is about to meet the most devastating tag team in the entire world: Steve "Dr. Death" Williams and Ted DiBiase, because they have just been signed to Devastation Incorporated!
Iceman Parsons beat a local jobber in 3:25 with the Butt Bump. Short squash match, and the crowd really seemed to enjoy it a lot. Parsons is one of the most charasmatic guys in this region, and it showed in this match. Rating: C
Marc Lowrance was in the ring. He let us know that tonight's bout between Jimmy Garvin and David Von Erich would not be for the Texas Heavyweight Championship. The crowd booed heavily before David Von Erich made his way to the ring for the main event.
David Von Erich beat "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin (w/Precious) in 28:42 with the Von Erich Claw. As solid of a main event as David could get out of Garvin. This David Von Erich is something special, this kid can really go. He's the biggest star in World Class at this point. Garvin did a tremendous job at working as a heel in this one, really pulling the crowd in. The crowd popped hard for the finish. Rating: B-

Decent first show. Your fed stands out since it's something unique. I'm not sure how popular it will be because I know I'm not the only one who hasn't heard of a lot of your roster. The Von Erich Claw is a great move. But you should have really said something else that actually happened in the matches instead of talking about the crowd and stuff. But this looks interesting and I'll be reading. Reply back whenever.

World Class News - Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
- It's rumored around the NWA that World Champion Ric Flair will be defending the NWA Championship at World Class Championship Wrestling's "Parade of Champions" event. Possible candidates for this championship match are David Von Erich, "Iceman" King Parsons, and "Gentleman" Chris Adams. At this time, it doesn't seem likely that Parsons or Adams will be getting said championship match.
- Jimmy Garvin won the NWA Television Championship at a recent Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling taping. He now holds the WCCW Texas Heavyweight Championship and the NWA Television Championship.
- Fritz Von Erich has been in negotiations with All Japan Pro Wrestling about bringing in some talent for future shows. Names that were thrown down that Fritz wanted to use were: Jumbo Tsuruta, Genichiro Tenryu, Mitsuharu Misawa, and All Japan Pro Wrestling owner Giant Baba.
- Kerry Von Erich pulled a groin muscle at last night's Road Tour show, he is expected to be back in time for Parade of Champions, which is Week 3 May.
- Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase are expected to debut on this week's World Class Television show as a part of Devastation Inc.
- On the subject of Devastation Inc, World Class is negotiating with other territories to bring in such talent as Kimala the Ugandan Giant, The Missing Link, Bruiser Brody, and Bad News Allen.
- World Class will be holding a Stampede Wrestling demonstration match at "Parade of Champions". World Class believes that this will help them get more exposure and possibly become a part of the NWA. The match, as of right now, is scheduled between The Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith.

World Class Championship Wrestling Week One 1983:
We open the show with Bill Mercer talking about our main event of the evening, which will see Kevin Von Erich and "Gentleman" Chris Adams take on Buddy Roberts and his partner Terry Gordy.
Gary Hart is standing by with Bill Mercer. GH: I've got a problem here in World Class, and it's you, "Iceman" King Parsons. I've been paid by a friend of mine, whose name I will not give away at this time, to take you out for good. And I'm going to do it using The Great Kabuki. Nothing in your life have you witnessed like you will this man, Parsons. We'll get the job done for sure.
King Kong Bundy (w/Skandor Akbar) beat Johnny Mantell in 2:36 with the Avalanche. Bundy just beat the crap out of the guy from the opening bell. Akbar threw a fireball at Mantell after the match. Paramedics were helping him to the back as we went to commercial. Rating: D+
We see a graphic showing the main event of Kevin Von Erich/Chris Adams vs. Gordy/Roberts.
David Von Erich beat Magic Dragon (w/Gary Hart) in 7:56 with the Von Erich Claw. Pretty good back and forth match, great storytelling here. The crowd was rallying for David to win. After the match, The Great Kabuki attacked Von Erich, and he and Dragon proceeded to beat on David until Iceman Parsons made the save. Rating: B
Skandor Akbar is standing by with Ted DiBiase and Steve Williams. SA: You see these two men behind me? They're the newest members of Devastation Incorporated. To my left, Ted DiBiase. Son of "Iron" Mike DiBiase, and this guy is one of the best technical wrestlers today. And to my right, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. One of the strongest men in wrestling. And I'm going to use these two men to take you out, Kerry Von Erich. We want your American Heavyweight Championship, and we're going to take it at Parade of Champions, because you will fight the man on my right, Steve Williams. And if, IF you get past him, Kerry, then there's Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, and a new member of Devastation Incorporated that nobody knows about yet.
The main event of Kevin Von Erich/Chris Adams vs. Gordy/Roberts is up next!
Kevin Von Erich and "Gentleman" Chris Adams beat Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts via disqualification when Michael Hayes interfered, attacking Kevin Von Erich. This was an all out fight from bell-to-bell. Kevin is one of the toughest guys I've ever seen in wrestling, and Gordy matched him blow-for-blow. Hayes' run-in caused this brawl to get even crazier, and when David Von Erich ran in, a 6-man war erupted, and security pulled the six apart to end the show. Rating: B+

Ricky, this diary so far is pretty awesomo.
Ted DiBiase ? <33333 or should I say =$$$$$$$$ ?
The Von Erichs basically ruling the show is fine in my book, never got the credit they deserved. Bruiser Brody debut plz.
Good diary so far, keep up the good work.

Stars of World Class on Tour Week 2 1983:
Jimmy Garvin opened the show with an in-ring promo, laying down an open challenge for his Texas Heavyweight Championship. Within seconds, "Gentleman" Chris Adams made his way to the ring, and accepted the challenge.
WCCW Texas Heavyweight Championship: Jimmy Garvin (w/Precious) beat Chris Adams in 15:31 with a DDT. Pretty solid opening contest, there wasn't much crowd involvement to it. Adams relies on crowd reaction plus a few key spots, and his performance suffered here. Rating: C+
After the match, Kevin Von Erich came out and told Garvin that Saturday at Parade of Champions, he wants a Title shot. Garvin accepted.
Another in ring promo saw Skandor Akbar hype up King Kong Bundy, saying there isn't a man in this territory that can beat him, not even his opponent tonight, King Parsons.
King Kong Bundy (w/Skandor Akbar) beat "Iceman" King Parsons in 3:58 with the Avalanche. Really nothing to this, a squash at best. Rating: D
Marc Lowrance told the fans that it is official, Saturday night, David Von Erich will challenge Ric Flair for the NWA World Championship!
WCCW Tag Team Champions Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy beat Johnny Mantell and Mike Von Erich in 5:59 when they used the Badstreet Bomb on Von Erich. Non-title match, but nonetheless a really good match here. Rating: B-
David Von Erich made his way to the ring for the main event.
David Von Erich beat Buddy Roberts in 7:39 with the Von Erich Claw. Not the best match on the card, but it was actually a decent contest given the amount of time it had. David is super over with the crowd, they're really pulling for him to win the title. Rating: C

Slight miscalculation, it's week 2 May 1983 instead of week 3. Although I don't know much about the roster, the shows look really good, and I like how you're pushing David Von Erich. I'm rooting for Flair to retain the title, however, as I can't really bet against the Nature Boy.
Excellent work, Ricky, I really enjoy reading your diaries.
And if you wouldn't mind, could you please drop a reply to WWE 2007?

World Class Championship Wrestling Week Two May 1983:Bill Mercer opens the show saying that in our main event tonight, Skandor Akbar's new man, Ted DiBiase, will take on Brian Adias. "Gentleman" Chris Adams beat a local with the superkick. Adams is just plain over, everything he does gets a positive reaction from the crowd. Simple match formula, local beats the face down, looks like he stands a chance, babyface wins with their signature move. Rating: D Ric Flair is standing by in a suit, with the NWA title. RF: So this Saturday night, at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas....it's you and me, David Von Erich. And don't think I don't know how you got this title shot, pal. You and your daddy went to the NWA Board of Directors, and you threw some money around to get this title shot. You threw some money around to get a shot at the greatest professional athlete alive. You wanted a shot at, woo, the best thing since sliced bread. The limousine ridin', jet flyin', kiss stealin', wheelin', dealin' woo...son of a gun. But just keep this one thing in mind, David...Diamonds are forever, and so is Ric Flair. WOOOOOOO! A music video for Kerry Von Erich played. A graphic shows that Terry Gordy and the Freebirds will be coming up next! Terry Gordy (w/Michael Hayes and Buddy Roberts) beat Iceman Parsons when Gordy used the DDT on Parsons. Sorta good match, but nothing too over the top about it. Freebirds heeled it like a motherer, and it added a lot to the match. After the match, Hayes and Roberts jumped in, and continued the beat down until David and Kevin Von Erich ran in to make the save. Rating: C Up next! Ted DiBiase debuts in World Class! Brian Adias beat Ted DiBiase (w/Skandor Akbar) when Steve Williams interfered, attacking Adias. Pretty fun match, Adias isn't that great a wrestler, and DiBiase took it upon himself to one-up the hell out of the poor kid. DiBiase is such a great heel, playing off the fans' 'lower level of intelligence' before the match. Doc's run-in caused the DQ, but Kerry Von Erich came in to save his friend. He fought DiBiase and Williams off before Bruiser Brody attacked him from behind. He hit Kerry with the one-arm bodyslam and the King Kong Kneedrop. He stands over Kerry as we go off the air. Rating: C
