Can't wait for this game, seriously. I had such a great time with all the GTA's (from GTA III on). SA was so freaking awesome that i beat it on PS2, then when I finally got an Xbox, i bought it again. IV will be no different, but I'll only get it on PS3.

Dude, the setting in GTA IV is bigger than all of San Andreas combined. Supposedly it's smaller geographical. But there aren't any terrains its just straight city. So it'll seem humungous. i liked theopen terrain, those were some of my fav locations in SA

Sounds a lot better than I thought it would. I might just get it. Does it have a release date?

The game sounds, to me, much more sim-like. Which is something I really don't like.
GTA:SA (A game i still play for hours on end these days) was great because i could pick it up, get into my A-Team lookalike van, skid around, flip it over, blow it up, shoot down a helicopter, get the police after me, do an incredibly unrealistic jump across a motorway because a ramp was conveniently placed at a dead end, fall off my bike, blow up a few cars and get shot to death. All of tis whilst not getting angry or mad, but enjoying the thrill of it.
This game sounds like im gona have to jump into my van, go get gas, get some food, then when i go onto the motorway, i'll get stuck in traffic and wil be waiting for ever to speed up, then after a while a police chase will happen, a helicopter light will blind my screen, ill get out of the van and get shot dead trying to run away.
All of this whilst questioning just what the hell happened to the GTA i knew and loved.

so whats up with that delay with how it was too morbid because you could kill children and animals?

There are rumblings now that GTAIV is heading toward another delay, due to some vague comments that the Take-Two chairman made, but it's still looking like it's going to be released sometime between February and April.

Absolutely. It's an October franchise. Since GTA 2, the new games have been released in October. I can honestly say, if GTA IV to come down in Fall of '08, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

But no company in the world would delay the game just so it came out then... their fiscal year for this year is already going to be much lower then they'd expected because of the delay. They wouldn't want to put it off until the 3rd/4th quarter just for tradition. Every day that game isn't out is them not turning a profit.

I didn't say it was going to happen, but game companies have been doing it for years. Army of Two? Remember them? It was delayed, and not even for program issues, it's because of the Holiday rush, it would be totally looked over. But it's a different situation with GTA. However, it's not above companies to delay a game to both manufacture demand, or in Rockstars case, more demand, and to nitpick the games programming.

I wouldn't be shocked if it had to do with the Blackwater incidents back in September and the fact that Army of Two focuses on PMCs like Blackwater.
