I look at if in this way:
1st:Undertaker- No one can argue the impact he has had on the event
2nd:Hogan- The man who made the first 9 Manias interesting to the fans
3rd:Austin-How is anyone overlooking Austin in Mania? His matches with Vega,Hart,HBK, and The Rock all have been mentioned as some of Manias best.
4th:Triple H- Seriously, the guy has main evented every Mania he has been in since WM X8 and every match has been nothing short of good
5th:Michaels- This has nothing to do with me not liking the guy. He has put on some amazing matches at the event. But a lot of his Mania matches are not as good as they are made out to be.

Gotta go with HBK. Taker is the backbone of WM and has had some great matches, but also a lot of kind of forgettable matches where I think all of HBK's are very remembered. HBK! agreed totally. hbk doesn't have the win streak, but his matches are WAY more memorable.

Undertaker instantly comes to mind when I think Wrestlemania, but he not all of those 15 wins of his can be called five star matches. Michaels, on the other hand, has had outstanding matches at Wrestlemania, whether he's won or lost.

you should have added a "both" choice because they both represent wrestlemania. you want to see hbk steal the show at mania and see if taker keeps the streak going

As much as I like HBK, I've gotta go with Undertaker. I mean, he's undefeated.

So everybody's voting Undertaker just because of this stupid "streak" that is largely the product of the WWE hype machine?

HBK. Not because I hate Taker. I watched like all his matches except for Mania 22 and 23. HBK is in my top Mania matches. vs. Jericho, Razor Ramon, vs. Triple H and Benoit, and vs. Kurt Angle they are all great matches.

Michaels is mr. mania...look at all the matches he's had X- The match of the night against Razor XI- Match of the night against Diesel XII- match of the night against Hart XIV- Match of the night against Austin XIX- One of the greatest wrestling matches ever against Jericho XX- The thriple threat is on mostly everyones favorite top 10 matches XXI- Match of the night against Angle XXII- Amazing match against Mcmahon XXIII- Brought Cena to have a great match... Now I am not going to argue that the matches you said were match of the night weren't match of the night but also remember what Undertaker did on these nights and just who HBK got to work with for these Mania matches. Working back to front. XXIII - Undertaker had the match of the night against Batista. XXII - Henry but still made it watchable. XXI - Amazing match against Orton. XX - Pretty good first match back against Kane. XIX - Another pretty good match but wasn't giving much time and the matches story and Takers opponents stopped this from being anything amazing. Then while HBK was out Undertaker had amazing match against Flair and Triple H. XIV - Kane he had an amzingly well told match that showed how people can go over without winning, next best match and wasn't giving as much time. XII pulled of just as good of a match with Nash as HBK in my opinion. Before that Takers wrestlemania matches included winning matches against forgettable giants. Although his first two wrestlemanias has him have good matches against Jake and Snuka which really put Undertaker over.

So everybody's voting Undertaker just because of this stupid "streak" that is largely the product of the WWE hype machine? Is it any more stupid than the WWE hype machines "Mr Wrestlemania" title for Michaels. The guy has had some good matches, yes. But that alone shouldnt make him Mr Wrestlemania. When you say the name Wrestlemania, the first name that usually comes to mind is The Undertaker. Now if we are basing this purely on matches quality, Id say Austin has Michaels beat.Id say his matches with Hart and The Rock (X-7 and the highly underrated XIX) out do most of Michaels Mania matches (except XIX, that match owns all).

I think this Undertaker 15-0 streak at Wrestlemania is REALLY overated.
Ok, he's never lost. But he's had a lot of TERRIBLE matches at Wrestlemania against a lot of TERRIBLE opponents.
Shawn Michaels has put on some of the greatest matches in WWE history at Wrestlemania in matches that he's LOST.
So a lot of wins in bad matches with horrible opponents is pointless if the matches aren't good. Shawn Michaels can lose and steal the show.
1. Jimmy Sunka was so over the hill then 2. Jake Roberts was over the hill then too. 3. Giant Gonzales was intellectually- disabled and a horrible wrestler and the match was bad. 4. King Kong Bundy...again, another over the hill former star. 5. Diesel.....horrible match 6. Sid.....another horrible match with a big guy who couldn't go. 7. Kane.....not a bad match. 8. Big Boss man....worst hell in a cell match EVER. 9. Triple H.....decent match. 10. Ric Flair.....horrible match. 11. Tag team match with Nathan Jones against Big Show and A-Train....*vomits* 12. Kane again....not as good as the first time. 13. Randy Orton....what I believe is his best WM match to date. 14. Mark Henry sucks.....end of story. 15. Batista.....decent match considering Batista is terrible.
So of those 15 matches and opponents.....like 3 of them were actually good matches.

Like I said it can be argued Austin has Michaels beat Mania match quality wise
WM12- Vega: highly underrated match and IMO it was the match of the night WM13- Hart:No doubt match of the night, if not Mania history WM14- HBK:In a way Austin had to carry Michaels (understandable due to HBKs backl problem), but the match was spectacular WM15- The Rock: Easily match of the night (not saying much) but it was just the beginning of great matches these two would have WM17- The Rock: Some claim it as the greatest match up in history. Everything about this match from the build and history, to the end and the biggest swerve in history makes it a true jem WM18- Hall: Austin is a drinker, so is Hall. Should be good right? No the match wasnt the best but it was halfway decent. Not Austins fault, Halls fault WMXIX- The Rock: Stone Colds last match, and who better to share center stage with than the match he had the most history with. This match really doesnt get the credit it deserves, and I believe it is because people dont realize how bad of shape Austin was in.
So one bad match out of them all. The rest define Wrestlemania

wow, that is a good question. Right away I voted for Shawn Michaels, but then got thinking about Takers matches. i don't ever remember being disappointed in a Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania match, but Undertakers win streak kind of gives him instant credibility. The main difference I find is who each of them have had for opponents. Undertaker, because of his size, used to get matches against all the heels, who for the most part were against Undertaker because they too were big men. Entertainment value, i will have to stick with Michaels. Storyline wise, Undertakers streak is amazing and will most likely never be matched. Pretty much exactly what i was thinking..kind of hard to make a final decision.
