If you think the Shawn Michaels/John Cena matches were boring then you really can't call yourself a wrestling fan. They were the best matches of 2007 ANYWHERE. Whether it be WWE, TNA, ROH, NOAH, Dragon Gate or anywhere else. Yes he can, and no they weren't. Opinions are fun, huh? Then what would you say were the best matches of 2007?

HBK vs Orton @ Survivor Series HHH vs Orton Last Man Standing @ No Mercy Edge vs Orton @ Raw, a little after Wrestlemania I think Undertaker vs Batista @ Wrestlemania 23 There were others, but none of them had Cena in them. That is nothing against Cena, but in my opinion, none of his matches were even near Match of the Year.

IMO Cena has talent. I mean, he always puts on great matches.
Last Year;
Vs Michaels
Vs Edge Vs Orton Vs Michaels
Vs Orton
etc.
He is a pretty good wrestler, and keeps working hard to improve!

I preferred HBK/Cena though and I'm not a Cena fan by any means.

I already know Cena has talent, and he sells finishers incredibly. I was just about to point this out. He jumps 400 feet in the air when getting Chokeslammed, and dies when he gets RKO'ed. And it seems like he's trying out new moves.

As long as he takes a break form having the title, I'm happy with him.

Nobody can deny that John Cena is the full package. He's got the perfect mic skills, he's great in the ring, he can light up a crowd like nobody else. He's the perfect guy and was a born to be a champion.

This opinion stuff only comes from those people who are bashing someone and are getting heat for it. If you werent ready to back up your argument, then dont try to start one. The whole Opinion Schtick has run its course.

The same people on here who claim Cena has no talent are the same people who were begging the WWE to put the belt on him when JBL had it. They bitched and moaned about how Cena was the most talented upcomer on the roster and how the WWE refused to push him.

No matter how many good matches he has, no matter how hard he works, people just want something to rag on. This is the only forum I go to that still mostly thinks he "can't wrestle."

Cena haters make me laugh, a lot. Especially when the same people who hate him think Shelton Benjamin should be a main eventer. Jesus, I'm glad the IWC doesn't book the WWE. It'd go straight to hell.
The funny thing is, when Austin and Rock were at the peak of their popularity, everyone said they couldn't wrestle. With HBK in '96/'97 everyone said he was only liked by girls and acted like a gay, with Hart people said he was boring, with HHH it's cos he's banging Stephanie. Some of you people have no idea what you want, because when the E gives it to you, you find ways to criticise it.
Cena mixed it up with a ton of different guys in his 13 month reign and did some pretty remarkable things with all of them. I mean, for God sake, he had decent matches with Khali! He had possibly the match of the year with Umaga at the Rumble, tore the house down at WrestleMania with HBK and then did the same again with him for almost an HOUR at the Raw before Backlash! His match against Lashley at GAB was another great match and then his match with Orton at SummerSlam was flat out fantastic.
If you want to look back further than that, look at his feud with Edge and some of the great stuff they put on together, or his feud with JBL when he took the title. Their Mania match was poor, but their Judgement Day 'I Quit' match was a terrific brawl that more than made up for it. How about WM 22 and his main event match with HHH? Not to shabby either was it? His stuff with Jericho over the Summer of '05 was also excellent. He managed to bring the best out of what was a disinterested, sloppy Jericho at the time.
His only really bad feud was with Kurt Angle at the end of '05. And that was more to do with Angle than anything else. He was in no fit shape to be challenging for the WWE Title and it showed. The fact that Cena has feuded with practically everyone and has had great matches with practically everyone proves it's not everyone else that's carrying him, he's a world class wrestler.
Turning him heel is also a pointless move. He's the company's biggest heel and biggest face all rolled into one. Women and kids LOVE Cena, and I mean with an absolute passion. Then you've got a lot of the 'attitude' era fans who don't like him and prefer their HHH's, HBK's etc. But that's fine, because Cena knows how to work with the HHH's and the HBK's, as well as the Khali's and Umaga's where he's the undeniable face in the feud.
The fact is, he's worlds ahead of some of your precious Shelton Benjamin's and your Elijah Burke's and God knows who else. In fact, he's completely off their radar. Shelton can kill himself every night with dippoop indy spots, give me any of Cena's PPV matches from the last 3 years over anything the likes of Shelton Benjamin have EVER done.

That, unfortunately, is the way with many members of the IWC who think they 'know wrestling'. The whole 'he can't wrestle' schtick is so old it's not even funny, and doesn't even hold up a half decent argument. The people who think he can't wrestle think that being able to do a thousand different moves is good wrestling. It's almost depressing to read sometimes.

What Cena needs is to go old school. Goto what got him so immensely over........RAPPING! I hate rap. But when Cena did it, it was cool. I dug it. Everything he was doing on Smackdown worked. He came to RAW and went down the tubes.

He came to RAW and went down the tubes. While the rap gimmick is what brought him to the dance and got him away from being a generic babyface, he's evolved way past that now. He's improved by roughly a billion percent since moving to Raw. It took him a while to really find his feet in that he was having to carry the WWE's premiere brand, but since some stutter steps early on, he's been phenomenal.

great wrestler? on what planet? lol surely not this one.... Looking at your sig, and your avatar, makes me not take you very seriously. Cena's good, but people think its cool to boo him cos he's a baby face. People in general are idiots who try anything to be 'cool'. I like, respect, and enjoy seeing Cena.
