Honestly could go back and forth on Miz.
On one hand he's someone you love to hate. He is a solid mid-card or tag team wrestler. Should have never been WWE champion either time but he elevated the IC title in 2016 through 2018.
On the other hand, he doesnt fit the fan mold, he's soft in the ring, his punches/kicks/clotheslines never seem to land/look super fake. You could probably take him out of any story for most of his career and someone else could have filled that spot just as well. Hes a bit 1 dimensional, wanna-be jock that was more desperate for stardom than any part of a wrestling legacy.

By far, the biggest overachiever the wrestling business has ever seen. Great point

Consistent, safe, always delivers, can be used any spot on the show, and a true WWE star. Will always have a job in the WWE whether wrestler or retired. People can bash him all they want, and say that he's "safe" as Daniel Bryan would say, but Miz was correct about one thing, ever since Bryan left to go to AEW he's been injured and crippling himself non-stop. So for Miz to play it safe in the ring, just means Miz will be around much longer and have a longer career than most. Miz is underrated

Fine talent, maxed out career by being in the era that guys get to just hang around… if you do that long enough then you’re going to get featured from time to time. Never really seen that he has any sort of magic about him that makes him unmissable. If he left and never came back tomorrow, won’t miss anything.
For legacy, still well beneath a lot of the attitude era guys he’s filling the spot of, in terms of how I would view his career or look back at him, even though tenure and accomplishments are nothing alike. People may scoff, but Val Venis for one example of many who did have some magic moments.

Wasn’t a fan of his when he started, but he has definitely grown on me over the years. He’s become a very good sports entertainer.

Meh. He’s there, that’s about it. Never been a fan. I respect the work he’s put in and how long he’s been doing it, obviously he’s doing something right to not get canned after nearly 20 years. But he ain’t for me, never will be either.

He’s fantastic. One of the greatest stories of hard work paying off. He’s lived the fan dream - became a WWE superstar, won the WWE title, main evented WrestleMania, married a WWE diva, and is a millionaire many times over. He’s great for any spot on the show that needs him and he always puts the effort in to make memorable moments. Huge respect for the man.
He’s also one of the best ever at making low/midcard guys look like stars. Morrison, Riley, Sandow, the B Team, Miz made them all look way better than they ever were without him. One of his protégés, Daniel Bryan, even main evented WrestleMania twice. It’s probably Miz’s selflessness that has given him an almost twenty year career.
He has always and will always be underrated by stereotypical smarks, but that’s also helped him to be one of the most effective bad guys and he never got caught up in pandering to them, which has given him a much greater career than his contemporaries who did pander to that audience - the Ryders and Zigglers etc.
Long live The Miz.

Hall of Famer. Didnt/doesn't get injured much, has always taken and run with whatever the company threw at him, good in-ring, great promo. He is one of the "we'll miss him when he's gone" types for sure.

He's become the same character for too long. He needs to change his character around. Make something new.
