ing incredible show, probably tied fir best AEW PPV. All Out 2021 and Forbidden Door 2022 are the only 2 that rival this in my opinion That Darby stairs bump was ing mental, imagine if Christian actually did the suplex toss from the apron to the stairs like he was originally gonna do.

Looking like he left because WWE wanted him part time and he wanted to work full time.

I love it when wrestlers prove to old man McMahon how much he dropped the ball. Thank you Edge. But this isn't the end for Adam.

Canβt wait to see washed up Edge work the WWE style against the indie workers.
Was never an Edge guy, so this is just hysterical to me.

All Elite World Wrestling Entertainment, hell yeah this is the land of opportunity for people that were not supposed to be around anymore. Hopefully Tonyβs paying for stem cell treatment for all the legends heβs got on board. Looking forward to the edge heel turn and gangrel coming back because why not hire another 60 year old. Hell at this point hopefully Al Snow gets a shot Dear lord. Try harder

What a f*cking show, man they proved me wrong for not expecting much from this PPV.
Swerve/Hangman and Bryan/ZSJ was worth the π° alone but then you throw in that main event, women's title, six man tag and to top it all off Adam f*cking Copeland is All Elite.
They're finally getting some good depth in the women's division. Julia has been great since joining the HoB. As much as I love Stat,I was really pulling for Julia to win the title, this character change and her improvement in the ring has turned her into a top 5 lady on the roster. What a complete 360 she's made since the Varsity Blondes days.
SWERVE'S HOUSE After Switchblade gets his run with Max over,I'm hoping Swerve gets the next crack at the title. This guy has world champion written all over him
Darby can't have a bad match, the guy seems incapable of it. Christian has been absolutely killing it lately,so excited to see where all this stuff with him and Nick goes. Then you throw in Edge... WOW!!!
Bryan/ZSJ just put on a masterpiece. I thought it was gonna be good but they even passed my expectations.
Wanna see the Don Callis Family with the Trios titles, hopefully that will happen soon as Will gets over here full time

I'm happy for everyone excited about potential matchups but for me easily the best thing about this is the Edge vs. Christian feud that should have happened in 2010, hopefully it's over a world championship.

I love Edge, but seeing him in AEW just doesnβt feel right. I hope they take care of him and he doesnβt end up getting Moxleyβd over there.
His return at the Rumble was legendary, but aside from the Judgement Day βI Quitβ match last year, I havenβt cared about anything heβs been involved in.

Honestly Cargill for Edge seems like a fantastic trade for both companies. AEW didn't know what to do with Jade and its widely accepted that WWE is a much better fit for her. Edge's last run didn't really hit the heights anyone had hoped in WWE. He had a few good matches but the the only person that was ever made to look good was Edge. Now he gets to go hang out with his best buddy and have some great matches with a bunch of fresh faces. Everyone's happy.

Bryan vs Sabre was easily the worst match of the night for me due to drunk Mox slurring and talking over everyone else on commentary the whole time. Shoulda gone backstage after the Ricky Starks/Wheeler Useless match.

Wrestling fans who think they're superfans are so lame. Sadly I used to be one of those people back in the Attitude Era. I spent most of it despising WCW because I was a brainwashed WWE fanboy like SOOOOOO many here. Eventually I grew up and realized how awesome it was having multiple companies that wrestlers can go back and forth to and give us fans new and interesting possibilities.
Those were awesome times back then, like it is again now. Problem is that next wave of brainwashed WWE fanBOYS haven't grown up yet and realized how great this is for everyone.
The anticipation of, "IS CODY SHOWING UP TONIGHT?" The anticipation of, "IS EDGE SHOWING UP TONIGHT?" None of that "anticipation" exists without multiple companies. FanBOYS would rather AEW go away so they can claim (like I did when WCW went out of business) that "we won."
Cody was garbage in WWE. He left. WWE fans didn't care. Cody went to AEW and WWE fans thought he was a loser in the minor leagues. Cody signs with WWE and WWE fans act like "THEY WON." They signed Cody from AEW. Cody is the greatest. We all love Cody. Jade Cargill is a nobody. She sucks. She can't wrestle. She's the queen of their internet shows. Jade signs with WWE and now suddenly the fanBOYS can't stop telling you how awesome she is and how big a star she's going to be..........
Edge comes back to WWE after a long retirement. WWE fans LOVE Edge. His contract runs out and he signs with AEW and suddenly the WWE fanBOYS can't stop talking about how old is he. He's washed up. I can't wait for him to get hurt......
It's pathetic at this point. I'm so glad the internet didn't exist (like it does today) during the Attitude era or what goes on with the whining now would have been 10x worse because the fanbase was 10x bigger.

Weird tribalism aside, I'm excited to see where this goes for Edge. He's pretty much done everything there is to do in WWE, it doesn't sound like being part time was his preferred scenario, and he's still performing at a high level.
There are a lot of fresh feud opportunities in AEW, he seems very open to elevating younger talent - which WWE never really used him for, and an Edge/Christian program has been a dream for me for 20 years. With Christian absolutely on fire, it would be amazing to see this play out at the top of the card.

My only snarky comment I'll make today about it: reading posts across the Interwebz today from bitter WWE fans has put a smile on my face!
Anyway, fun PPV. Swerve/Hangman was fire. ZSJ/Danielson was quasar. Darby is insane. Takesh*ta is like ... really, really good. Please make a figure with Ospreay in those tights. And I enjoyed the two swerves in the main event!

Most people thought he was coming in to team with Christian. But now ... and I don't even think this was TK's idea ... I think Edge and Christian having been talking this up for a while and they want a program where they fight one another. Yeah, sure eventually they'll team but I can totally see Edge saying, "I want to fight my friend."

Random thought: is it just a tad dishonorable to run a tribute show, for it to see your standard AEW signee debut?
The name of Inoki was invoked for this show's reveal, I would think it would hold some water for cross promotional stuff in the future. I remember talk of NJPW talent not having the flexibility in their schedule to participate despite the connotation. But doesn't this show now hold the same weight as AEW's other PPV offerings, something that is meant to advance a sole company's agenda.

Great PPV last night.
Excited as hell for Copeland.
I'd say any complaints on Edge to AEW makes someone sound more like a sorry crybaby sucker and less like a WRESTLING FAN.
its a SLAM DUNK and he's got more stories to tell -- this time without neverending stories because someone can't figure out an ending. AND he's going to do it all alongside his best friend in the world, with a roster that is almost totally fresh matchups and dream matches for Copeland.
On top of that, someone who has been a vocal, non-stop supportive role model who loves seeing others get over as much as he does himself. I don't think there is a single active wrestler that could join a locker room and be such an anchor for everyone else.
"Tarnishing a legacy" is a hilarious take as WWE got the gift of a GOAT-level talent coming back from a 9-year hiatus and some of their brightest ideas included a WrestleMania Snoozefest around the PC, a feud with the Miz and a year-long Judgement Day feud that did nothing for anyone.
We saw Edge's farewell run written by WWE and they laid an egg. Now lets see what he's got left in the tank and what sort of legacy he can have beyond the ring outside of a corporate hellscape.
