After rewatching Ends, I think I might have been too harsh in my initial response. I actually kind of like it. It just wasn't what I was expecting.

Currently how I’d rank all the Halloween films in order:
Halloween 1978 Halloween II Halloween 2018 Season Of The Witch Halloween Ends Halloween H20 Halloween 4 Rob Zombies Halloween Halloween Kills Halloween 5 Halloween Curse Of Michael Myers Halloween Resurrection H2

After rewatching Ends, I think I might have been too harsh in my initial response. I actually kind of like it. It just wasn't what I was expecting. I really liked it. It was DIFFERENT. I give them credit for trying something different. It was a ballsy move in what they claim is the last Halloween and last time Jamie Lee Curtis will play Laurie Strode. Every time a Halloween movie (or any slasher movie, for that matter) comes out, it gets the same criticism that they just keep pumping out the same movie. Psycho killer picks off unlikable depth-less characters in gory kills, until it comes down to a fuzzy ending. Again, I give them a lot of credit for trying something so drastically different than what we are used to. The negative reviews are maybe an indication that when people claim they want something different, maybe they haven't been telling the truth. Maybe people really do just want the same movie over and over where the killer kills 15 people nobody cares about until a non-committal ending. Without getting into specifics and really spoiling anything, the only complaint I'll say I have about the movie is how unrealistically fast the two characters become romantically involved. It just seemed like they met, a day went by, and it was just too quick for me. It didn't totally make sense, but everything else made sense to me.

I'm eh on "Halloween Kills". I get what they were trying to do but it didn't come out very well. The ending was very quick. I personally think that at the last second Michael should have pulled Laurie in with him. Viola. Both dog food. "Terrifier 2" was a real fun ride that, like most everyone else, went on a little bit too long. Other than that, some great kills! "Mom" was the best part of the whole film.

I probably watch Halloween 3 more than any of them. I still haven't seen the last two. No clue how they could be worse than Resurrection or 5/6.

The first 2 are by far the best. The worst I'd say is either Curse or Resurrection. I couldnt finish either
3 is fine as a standalone. Wasnt thrilled with it in the beginning but over time I eased up on it.

I'm going to try to watch Kills and Ends later this week. Ends was kind of spoiled to me because my brother thought I had already watched it. He says I'll love it since I love Friday the 13th Part 5 and Halloween 3. We shall see. I also had Robert Englund and Lisa Zane added to my Freddy's Dead poster this past weekend. Breckin Meyer to be added at Rhode Island Comic Con

Terrifier 2 was such good fun. I’d hesitate to say it’s a pure ‘80s-inspired slasher, because any movie released in 2022 is still going to appeal to a modern audience’s sensibilities, but it had all the makings of one. The practical effects in this franchise continue to impress. It helps if you view the first Terrifier before seeing the sequel (obviously) because you will have a better understanding of the Art the Clown character and know not to expect a Jason or Freddy clone. The kills are ramped up. The blood and guts are bountiful. It’s beautiful how barbaric it can be.

Thanks man. This is pretty much all I do these days as far as hobbies goes. The Brain is partly to blame, but I of course mean that in a good way. The wrestling autographs in the classic board really kicked my interest in collecting again. I have a few more horror pieces I'm working on at the moment which are Nightmare 3, Friday 5, and Silent Hill. Robert Englund doesn't allow pictures of him signing anymore but I do have Cooper and Zane signing the Freddy poster: Alice Cooper: Lisa Zane:

I really liked Halloween 2018. Wasn’t a fan of Kills and I absolutely despise Ends.
They could’ve done so much better with that trilogy imo.

I'll probably still give Halloween Ends a chance even though most people have told me it's bad.

You can't go wrong with the old Hammer Horror series. Especially if Christopher Lee is playing Dracula. Lots of 1960s British women with the heaving bosom playing the wayward victim or serving wench? Yes, please!
