Definitely my number one anticipated game for this year. I've been bummed out with the multiple delays, but I'm also sure that will just make the game as good as it can be. CD Project Red is one of the rare studios in today's game world, that actually seems to still give a crap about it's fan base, and wants to give them the best possible product it can.

Been looking forward to this for a while. My only complaint is that it's first person.

Oh yes. I havent played a video game since Red Dead on my Xbox360 but Cyberpunk 2077 looks amazing, always wanted a game in this genre, looks amazing. Like the above poster my only gripe is that it's first person. I always prefer to see my char when playing.

Been looking forward to this for a while. My only complaint is that it's first person. And aren't the cut scenes also supposed to be in first person too? Seems strange to have an extensive character creator if you'll barely see your character

Haven't been this excited for a game since World of Warcraft in 2004.

Well once again, Cyberpunk has been pushed back, now to December 10th. Now CD Projekt Red is one of the only ones I still give a lot of leeway to, as they've shown to be for the player base, but this is more than a little annoying, after they made an official statement around the beginning of the month, that the game would no longer be delayed. Plain and simple, if there's any chance you can't keep the promise, don't make the promise.

How is it? I slog through video games at this point. Barely have time to play. I still am like maybe 30% through Red Dead 2. Is this a better game than that? Should I abandon it and have this be my new game I don't finish for 5 years?

Should I abandon it and have this be my new game I don't finish for 5 years? I'm not too different from that to be honest. gone are the days where a game sucks me in and makes me hooked to the point of gaming binges. that said, the way I keep describing this game is the best game in an absolute long time, outside of red dead 2. red dead 2 has a brilliant story and the game play is superb but nothing feels amazingly next level. Cyberpunk nails the futuristic concept with technology invading all forms of our lives, but the actual sustenance of our lives has in some ways depleted as urbanization adopts a militaristic supertech environment. I'd suggest it if you have a PC or next gen console. the game is immense and delivers.

Got this game for my Xbox 1 S & besides the FPS issues & random glitches, the story is pretty cool but a very overhyped game. Story mode is shorter then is was listed. I’m almost done with the main mission, & I find myself doing the side missions & taking Gigs before I finish the game.

I wrapped this up last night. You need to complete side stories with Kerry, River, Judy, especially Panam, and keep Takemura alive to do this thing correctly. Then you really need to do all four endings since they’re all so different. I guess 5 but least resistance is really stupid for even existing. Panam has, leaps and bounds, my favorite arc. Her ending is the best, she’s the best NPC in the game and she makes every ending somewhat emotional if you initiate her. That said, the Arasaka ending really won me over in a Black Mirror sort of way. The irony of the story was palpable. It was the last thing I needed to do before platinum and it was perfect. Just this weird, emptiness that comes with putting down a 100 hour game. I’m not a first person guy. I love third person. The last of us, Zelda, metal gear, final fantasy, tomb raider. So this was a big step out of my comfort zone. It was enough like Witcher 3 though that nothing felt overwhelming. EXCEPT, for the organized fights. I thought the fighting mechanics were trash. The gorilla arms helped but yikes. Not sure why those type of fights were so much smoother in Witcher. I played on PS4. I had tons of crashes and saw tons of glitches. I’ll replay this when I eventually get PS5. I really, really, enjoyed it. I’m not sure it’s in love territory for me. Maybe I’ll feel differently if I get the experience that was intended with no technical issues. Maybe I’ll feel differently the more I digest the story over the next few days. This probably doesn’t need to be said, but Silverhand ruled. I thought we were getting minimal Keanu, and instead he’s with you for the majority of the ride. His playable stuff and Alt story were also amazing imo. So big props to getting Keanu to take this on. Samurai for life.

Without spoiling anything for others, they really have his character grow from when he's introduced into the game, as it goes on.

You'll see when you're faced with the decisions at the end, but your relationship with Johnny, your reactions to him along the way, count. I don't mean that in a "for the sake of the linear story" kind of way, either. Literally, how each individual player interacts with Johnny factors into your decision making at the end because it's up to you how much, or how little, trust you put into him, and your emotional connection with him. I thought that was really great.

I don't know which life path you picked, but when you play as a nomad, I think it helps add to her story arc, because V can relate to the life with her. I thought Judy was a great character too. Her romance mission (only a romance mission if you're female V) really helps you get into the type of person she is, and you get to find out a bit about her past.
