Simple solution: buy when they’re first available.
We’re almost 5 series ahead of E71. Did you think the prices were gonna go down?

It seems once figures start hitting retail in saturation then RSC lowers their price to be competitive. Why not start with a competitive price? I would pre order everything exclusively through RSC if more items were closer to retail.

I would pre order everything exclusively through RSC if more items were closer to retail. They pay extra money to have sets come in a month or two ahead of retail. They need to make money back on that. A lot of people want their figures ASAP, and are willing to pay a little extra. And then there’s no worry on trying to find what you want in stores. I don’t pre-order as much as I used to as I try to balance out how much I want specific figures vs. how hard I think they’ll be to find in store vs. if I think ringside will sell out, etc. So for example The Fiend, I will pre-order for sure.

If RSC sold full cases of an elite series for $160, that’s retail price but, most board members wouldn’t pay it - because most people on here don’t want everything, they just want the new/niche/obscure characters. 2) They’re a specialty store and they pay more to get the figures before retail.

at the end of the day they're a business and they need to make a profit.
i think they'll price up hot figures to offset peg warmers that they may get stuck with and sell cheap later on. that being said i personally wont ever pay over retail for an elite figure.

Love how people complain about ebay sellers scalping but so many people defend ringside of doing it. Lets just say I'll pay what I want for a figure depending on how bad I want it. haha this is so true

I can understand Ringside charging a few dollars above retail for figures because they are not the size of stores like Walmart and Target. What I can't understand is them charging double (not including shipping) for figures. Aren't they supposed to be the anti-scalper resource? Why are Elite 71 Adam Cole and Drew McIntyre $39 (without shipping)?
Can someone explain why people scalping figures on bidding sites is terrible, but Ringside doing the same thing gets a pass?
Elite 71 was released in September 2019. It is now 6 months later. We sold the majority of these figures at much lower prices back when the item was first released. I think Drew might have even been in our Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. Also, the majority of our figures come from the manufacturer unlike "scalpers" you mention. For some reason some people have an unrealistic expectation that we should have unlimited quantities of every figure available forever at retail price. If we were to sell these for $19.99, they would be sold out instantly to eBay scalpers and we would have none left for our customers. No one complains when we have to blow something out below cost, selling hot items at a slightly higher price helps us balance that out. We have almost every figure from Elite 71, 72, 73, and 74 for $11.99 - 19.99 range. If you want to cherry pick the 2 or 3 hottest figures from the past 6 months and complain we are charging the market value then I think you have unrealistic expectations for a specialty store that only sells wrestling figures.

Set of Elite 74 = $18 per figure after WFIGS code Set of Elite 75 = $21 per figure after WFIGS code Set of Elite 76 = $23.25 per figure after WFIGS code

So you’re saying people will buy a figure on RSC for $26 plus add shipping which comes out to about $35ish just to resale on eBay for a $5 profit? Yes. Absolutely they would. Right now if Cole was $26, you could buy 2 of him at that price and get free shipping. That's not a $5 profit, that's a $10 profit, and so on. funny how nobody complains when Ringside is selling their Matt Hardy exclusive for $7.99 when they probably paid like $7.00 cost for each of them. Just seems like to much doing for $20 profit. But ok... And I’m good with Ringside, I get figures cheaper their than I would anywhere else other than finding them at retail. But then I think by time I run around for weeks looking for a certain figure wasting gas, I could have just paid the extra $10-$15 to Ringside and not have had to run around wasting thay $10-$20 on gas .

Have y’all every thought about doing something like creating something for the customers like a “members club.” Maybe something like paying a yearly sub to get free shipping a year, or some kind of perks to benefit for paying a yearly fee to be a Ringside member

I’ve always thought that RSC should do a membership program. Only offering discounts to members of their site.
Allow the monthly/weekly sales as a tactic to draw in new customers, but also attempt to deter “scalpers” and “resellers”.

Maybe do something like giving members the first chance to make pre orders before pre orders went up on Ringside? Free shipping on any orders over $20? Maybe a discount on buying sets, I mean something. To many ideas to look at.

Not defending scalpers or anything but....E71? You’ve had plenty of time to pick those up for a good price. I have never seen any of E71 at retail and Ringside has always had some of the figures higher priced. Now they are just even higher, I guess. I thought someday they were going to have to show up in stores, Target has two exclusives figs in that set. But still nothing yet.
