Personally I’m sick of store exclusives and since more Flashback figs are store exclusives, it really sucks. I’d prefer Mattel include more FB figs in the regular elite line or “Do this or “that” but the store exclusives limited supply/piss poor distribution/holding stock in the back, etc makes me (at times) lose interest. If stores have a hard time with the regular line, they have an even harder time with exclusives. Store exclusives are incentive for them to stock more of the standard lines. An exclusive will bring shoppers, this running a possibility of more sales. Yet most of them don’t stock/restock & what is available gets taken quick. They come in short waves and then stop. You’d think the exclusives would be stocked more often & they do warm more, however stock just stays in limbo or until requested.

I'm in the same boat and I'm mainly looking for flash backs or legends. I will pick up current guys if it's in gear I like or a great figure but I have passed on quite a few lately as well. I'm hoping to find Elias in stores but he's the only one out that I'm actively seeking. I will get the SummerSlam Edge if I see it. I also plan to move soon and it's going to be a pain packing everything already so I'm trying not to add on too much. I have also gotten back on a MOTU kick but I thought WWE prices were bad, MOTU is insane. I had everything a kid and wish I never lost or my parents sold them.

It's more a wax and wane situation for me. There's periods where new product comes out and I'm excited and periods where I turn my attention to another collection when I'm caught up (Lego, Pops, NECA, etc)
Right now I'm all in for SDCC expecting some decent reveals. Waiting is the hard part

To a point, yeah. At the top of the year, I couldn't leave a store without a figure. The Walmart Flashback lines hit simultaneously, then E54 landed with E56 shortly thereafter. Found the NXT elites soon after that. Since then, aside from catching E57 and E58 in a lucky whim, there's nothing in my area.

I completely lost interest around E23 and sold my whole collection but thanks to various DVDs and games...especially WWE '13...I have restarted collecting. I have only one bit of advice. DON'T sell your collection. If you have lost interest just put them in storage.

Yes, I'm only interested in Sasha (and if they get around to making them) Kairi & Dakota figs. My attention has shifted to collecting more Funko Pop.

I have slowed down that is for sure. The NXT and 205 figures do nothing for me. I enjoy the flashback line, but passed on HOC series 1...
SDCC will be interesting, and I’m very hopeful at the very least we have a Flashback Goldberg, maybe more elite Warriors/Hitman/Machos and who knows - I think there is a outside chance Hollywood is on the cards.

I've been buying as much this year as I have for the past four years, but I've not had the same excitement from the hobby recently. I got the Main Event ring a few days ago, and I was happy when I opened it, but the next morning I saw it on my floor and just thought eurgh, where am I gonna put this thing?

Not losing interest, but I don't buy everything anymore.
It's not about the money, as I have a sizable disposable income, but it's more about the patterns and trends I notice in the line.
I don't buy $20 jobbers and I skip wrestlers I have no connection to. I don't care if I can buy an elite for $5. If it's someone I don't care about, like Warlord, it's still a pass.

That's the same with me. I used to collect WAY more. It's just a matter of space and who I actually LIKE. Only collect attitude era flashbacks and current guys now. My favourites are the shield elites. Not missed a single one.

Ive lost interest greatly in this line (Elites) in the past few months. And in the WWE product as a whole. RAW is like a 3 hours nonsense fest that is only justified by Seth Rollins. And Im so bored of Smackdown with Nakamura in the title picture (not his fault the malfunction of his feud)
For the figures, I got rid of a bunch of them, including Diesel, DM Hogan, Hall, Hart Foundation, etc and I didnt feel any pain at doing so. Only keeping key guys such as some Austins, Rock, Bret Hart, Michaels, Undertaker, Triple H, both flairs.
As I said I still have a buch, but I feel like I am keeping what I really want, only getting a few more to complete my HHH collection and Undertaker since I try to get all the diferent looks these guys have sported through the years. I still need a current Brock, Kurt Angle and DM Jericho. And that will do.

I'm never going to be like I was 5 years ago. It isn't possible. I'm saving for a house and anticipating living there a long time so I want it to be nice and money is a bit tighter as a result.
I used to also be a basic fanatic. I had over 80% of all the basics the made, all the way up through series 57. From 27 to 55 my sets were complete. The basics now look so cheap and the variety is worse than it's ever been. I used to get to excited for first time in the line figures but the elites beat them now to market. So that's strike one. Basics seem to take a ridiculous amount of time to come out, not even up to date anymore. Second: Dean, Seth, Cena, Balor. Dean, Seth, Cena, Balor. Dean, Seth, Cena, Balor. They're the new Orton, Cena, and Miz, but somehow more boring in variety. Third: The figures are looking cheap. I bought a Kurt Angle SummerSlam basic and just felt so bad afterwards because that figure is really good and reminded me of the old basics. In that same set we also have a Roman Reigns with no ankle articulation, horrible paint apps on everyone I saw, and shiny cheap looking plastic like a Jakks Ruthless figure.
Elites still look really good but the new sets are scarce. The Toysrus thing was a blow dealt to me. I know some of you folks had bad Toysrus stores but mine was pretty good and right near work. I scored lots of good figures.
I'm pretty much just looking forward to SDCC for Elites. I will be very happy if basics get some love and get put back on track but I don't expect it at all.

Well, I came in for Legends and while we get a few cool things like Ron Simmons and Brutus the ****in' Barber, we keep losing characters through the headache lawsuit and their unrelated personal crap, like Bill shot down Borga saying "for obvious reasons" he won't be made, like okay, he liked to liked to roleplay as a nazi outside of sports, he's a heel, he's not Hulk Hogan, you aren't supposed to look up to him anyways. Then there's The Mountie too, it's just with their stuff there's like 50 more hurdles than Jakks ever had to go through, like the old farts need to be on tv for half a year to warrant a figure(I don't think Backlund made the cut).

I have bought much less this year than in previous years. If they hadn't signed the Hardy Boys and Angle then I would of bought hardly anything this year. The basic/BP lines are basically 90 percent repeats it seems like. I am also not buying repeat Legends unless it is something really special.

My interest in Mattel WWE products has always been the Championship Title Belts. As of right now, there are only 2 figure sized (WCW Championship Title Belt (1991 - 1994 version that comes with Ron Simmons) and Women’s Championship Title Belt (classic version that comes with Alundra Blayze)) and 2 kids sized (nWo Championship Title Belt and NXT Championship Title Belt (current version)) Championship Title Belts I’m waiting for. Once in a blue moon, there’s a figure that will catch my attention that I must have, but other than that, it’s all about the “Gold and Leather”. So as long as there is a Championship Title Belt that I want and don’t have yet, I’ll be interested.

I still get really excited over specific figures, and I think as a whole I'm still enjoying collecting. But at the same time I do feel like I am losing interest. I enjoyed having a figure or two or three in each wave that I wanted to pick up, and chasing them in store on online as the waves would come out. Now it's feast or famine. I bought 2 main line Elites this entire year. Meanwhile I bought 3/4 of HoC1, 4/4 of Flashback 1, and will be buying all 4 figures in Flashback 2 and HoC2. It just felt more interesting when I would be picking up a steady stream of a figure or two here and there every month.
The figure quality is as good or better than ever. But I'm finding the attire choices less than exciting, particularly with the current roster figures. The rapid decline of the basic line (I'm not bothered by the articulation changes, but the character and attire selections have been crap since Bill stopped working on them) coupled with the all or nothing buying in Elites and fairly bland and hard to find releases of the EM and EG sets has definitely tempered my interest from where it was a year ago.

Unless you are buying everything, there will usually come a point where you at caught up. Don’t think that’s losig interest just a break in spending.
At least for me, not spending does not mean loss of interest.

Yes I’ve lost interest. The main thing for me is how long it takes for the figures to come out and/or the distribution. Example Wendi Richter shown in October and still no sign of her. No US distribution for Shark. We’ve seen finished product of the new Walmart set months and months and months ago. USA retrofest Macho was shown at last years SDCC and just came out last month. Those are just a few examples.

Yeah I barely come on this site anymore. I used to be a day 1 pre order guy but now I'm finding myself just sitting around debating if I even "need" it. I think I've bought like 18 figures the whole year, where in past years I'd be probably at 40 by now.
I've also shifted my collecting focus on my pro race worn motocross jerseys that I've always done but that's become my primary collection. I'm hoping SDCC will get me excited again, but I won't lie, I didn't even realize it's next weekend until like 3 days ago.
