WFWF presents: End Time LIVE from Madison Square Garden in New York CityThe Main Event! Six Years in the Making! A Manhattan Street Fight for the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship!--------------------------------------------------- Michael Kyzer vs. David BrennanAnd they thought the flames had been doused... Pacific Rim saw what many had long considered the inevitable rise of David Brennan to what had all but become his presumptuously eventual spot atop the WFWF as its World Heavyweight Champion. Never one to bask in the moment and bathe in the glow, the new champion’s low-key, all but nonexistent celebration was capped off by a moment much more in line the speed at which he travels - the return of a former ally, one Michael Kyzer. Never one to back down from a perceived sleight, Brennan was quick to accept what he’d presumed was a silent challenge on behalf of the self proclaimed “God of F*ck” - and act which soon devolved into a heated standoff between all three former members of The New Epoch. The towering inferno seemed all but ready to erupt, leaving us all in the wake of the sort of havoc only men such as them wreak, if not for a lapsed contract in the midst of limbo on the part of Drakz. With his former best friend contractually out of picture, Kyzer fixed his sights solely on what he’d branded his “creation”, seemingly hell bent on tearing down what he’d so meticulously sought to erect some years earlier. Night after night, the champion found himself subjected to the complex mind games and the unparalleled depravity of his former mentor, suffering attacks and blows that increasingly escalated beyond the scope of the sort of return that could be offered in any standard contest. To return the favor, Brennan would need to be unchained, unrestrained by traditional rules. With no Revolution in sight to speak otherwise, it’s come to this - a Manhattan Street Fight for all the marbles. No rules. No restraint. Just two men, former allies turned bitter enemies. Only one man can leave New York calling himself champion, but the odds spell a scenario where it’s entirely possible that neither man walks away. Proving Ground! The World on Notice!--------------------------------------------------- Reina Kenshin vs. Tyler DravenTyler Draven came into the WFWF with a bang - more specifically, with a thunderous crack at the expense of his mentor Trace Demon’s skull. Since then, not a soul in the WFWF has been able to avoid taking notice as he’s set out upon his path, picking up decisive wins over Brandon Bison and Jason Sykes. An impressive start, paired with a formal debut that would make even the most rugged superstars nurse their temples in sympathetic pain, has left him poised to become one of the next big things in the WFWF, as he seems to exhibit no question as to what cost success might come at to those who want it the most. Perhaps, then, it should come as no surprise that the WFWF’s newest signee, the ferocious Reina Kenshin, opted to signal her arrival in similar fashion, laying total waste to WFWF legend Reverend Shadow before he could so much as establish his footing for a potential nostalgia run. The sight of this young woman rendering the dark Reverend unconscious is another, alongside the innards of Trace Demon’s skull, that no challenger out back is soon to forget. Now, on the center stage of the world, Tyler Draven and Reina Kenshin will find themselves eye to eye, with a decisive victory to either bearing the potential to show the world which of these two vicious newcomers is most situated to take over the world. Throw Open the Doors! Every Win Counts!--------------------------------------------------- Mesh vs. Ryan “Needles” PayneThe WFWF Multiverse is still not certain what to make of the industry’s most extroverted newcomer, the incomparably bubbly, outgoing, and colorful Mesh. Even the most diehard viewer would be hard pressed to find another competitor amid the WFWF locker room who is as outwardly thrilled at the very notion of being here as Mesh - a pointed attitude that she cemented at Riot on Broad Street with an impressive win over fellow rookie Hamilton K. Clarke. Having relegated the WFWF’s resident authority on dignity to an oh and two record moving forward, Mesh arrives at the Mecca of professional wrestling poised to carry her own positive record forward as she squares off against the debuting Ryan “Needles” Payne. Though yet an unknown quantity here in the WFWF, Payne has the opportunity to come to New York and punctuate his own outward aura, one that is in many ways the total antithesis of his opponent’s, with a victory to kick off his own WFWF career. The winner will find his or herself in a position to make a considerable impact on the WFWF going forward, as momentum can often be proven to be everything in the WFWF, where every hard fought victory can be a capitalized step forward. There's the card for you folks, with what I hope can be the last of any significant delays. For a three match card, I'm pretty pleased with it overall. There's a little bit of everything here, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this all pans out.
I do believe all three matches are spoken for as far as writing duties go, but this card can turn out to be so much more with the help of segments, folks. This show is the culmination of sorts of our first run, and I think we're going for some more structured build going forward, so grab the reins and get yourself a spot here so as to position yourself for something big going forward.

I whole-heartedly second my co-owners thoughts that despite a three match card this MSG show can still be special if people contribute some segments. Frank Lynn may not have a match but he will certainly be making an appearance at MSG. Who knows, maybe the "f***ing janitor" Billy Broom will show up too - probably to clean up the bloody mess left behind by Kyzer and Brennan

I'm super proud of how this one turned out, but credit needs to go primarily to King Richius for the spark of inspiration on this one. He conceptualized the thing and even did a mock up. I just tweaked his idea slightly. Side note: that font was free and I super love it.

And if we're giving credit then I have to acknowledge the inner geek in me that just loves the image of Charlton Heston on his knees on front of the ruins of the Statue of Liberty screaming “You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!” I really wanted the poster for the MSG show to include a decimated Statue of Liberty. It's iconic.

I don't like much about Charlton Heston, but I do love that. Also? Unabashedly, his cameo in the Burton remake. His name is Zaius and he does the damn them all line.

I can't even name a Heston film other than the two Planet of the Apes movies he was in and wasn't he in Soylent Green too? Loved that callback Burton included for Heston in his remake, which unlike most people I don't hate.

I'm not going to be able to post until mid-morning tomorrow. Family breaks.
If anyone wants to take an additional 12 hours, I'm in no mood to hold it against you at this point.

After this weekend, I know more about the historical trends in residential main line plumbing than I've ever wanted to know, which is crucial information to have as a homeowner, but is about as useful or motivating to write about as the coinciding flooded basement that comes with it.
Fortunately, only one irreplacable item of sentimental value was damaged. The DDR machine lives to see another day.

Just a heads up that I'm gonna' be a little slow to read and reply to the RPS this time around. I have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning for my Entyvio infusion and will most likely spend the rest of the day sleeping it off.
